Aria smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. She always loved how he made her feel so cherished, so safe - she hoped Callista had found the same happiness with her lifemate.
Valzar had climbed out of the warm pool and, with a little instruction from Callista, managed to dry himself off. Now he paced back and forth across the floor of the cavern.

Callista climbed out after him and made her way to the entrance. "You can come in, it's open." Don't worry so Val. Everything will be alright. Mother is very excited to meet you.
Gregori entered the cave first, scanning around to make sure things were safe. He found his daughter easily, as well as the male pacing back and forth. "He's intimidated....good."

"Gregori..." Aria gave him a pointed look before sweeping past him into the cave. "Darling! How are you?" she looked around. "Oh, this is a lovely home you've made for yourself."
Valzar stopped by Callista and watched the older female with caution.

Callista swept her mother up in a quick hug before stepping back and lacing her hoof through Valzar's.
Gregori stepped up next to Aria, briefly hugging his daughter before glancing sternly at the male.
Callista smiled and kissed Valzar's cheek. "This is my lifemate, Valzar."

"So very nice to me you, Valzar," Aria smiled warmly at her daughter's lifemate. "I am Aria, this is my lifemate, Gregori."
Valzar nodded as politely as he could though it was difficult for him to make eye contact with the female.

You don't have to look her in the eyes. You don't have to do anything that makes you uncomfortable.
"And we are Callista's parents. I have never seen you around before...and it is easy to tell that you were not always Carpathian." He looked over at Callista. "You took a large risk, daughter. It could have ended badly."
Callista dropped her head down low and looked at the ground. "I only did what I knew was right, Father. Valzar belongs to me now. And I belong to him."

"Oh good, finally someone like me," Aria said happily.
Valzar could only give the matron a confused look.
"I wasn't born Carpathian either," she explained. "Gregori had to convert me too. Painful process, you have my sympathies for that. How are you doing since the conversion? Eating and sleeping alright?"
"It has been difficult," he said quietly. "Callista helps me in every way. I am very grateful to her for that and for saving my life."

Callista smiled sheepishly and rested her head on Val's shoulder. "Well, I couldn't have you dying on me. I wasn't ready to go yet."
The color faded from Gregori's face. "You did what?" He grabbed Aria's hoof and took a deep breath. Evidently our daughter has been doing many things that we do not know about...
