Breeze continued to stare for a little, but eventually tore her gaze away from the beautiful garden. She turned back to the castle, thining of the rude man that had scared them and wondered if it might actually be his after a moment of thought, she discarded the idea, not believing he could keep such a beautiful garden. Surveying their surroundings to be sure they weren't surprised again, she noticed two figures walking toward them; a man and a dog. Tugging on Serene's sleeve to alert her to this newcomer, she wondered if this man would be any nicer than the last

Serene looked up at Breeze's persistent tugging and glanced at where Breeze was indicationg. She saw the new man and dog and smiled, mostly for the doggie. She jumped slightly, wanting to play with the doggie. The man was completely forgotten in her excitement on seeing it. But to be polite to the forgotten man that somewhere in the back of her mind she was aware of, she just barely refrained from running to the dog and hugging it. She'd wait to get permission from someone, if permission was to be given.
Outwardly, she was tense to try to keep from moving towards the two. Her smile seemed almost fixed, though it was genuine, but her efforts made it seem a little more fake after the first instant when it blossomed. Her eyes shown brightly, excited.
((Must see if I can make this into a double entendre of motions so Rowan can keep being confused. hee hee. just to keep it interesting.))

Rowan made his way up to the two girls, his stride was easy and comfortable, his face and expression easy and confident, though otherwise devoid of emotion. Lilo trotted at his side, her face also calm and compsed. Her tail stuck up in the air, but did not wag. She took no interest in Serene, or in Breeze.
"Good afternoon." Rowan offered the girls, his hands clasped behind his back formally. There wasn't much for Rowan to say - generally it was considered bad manners for a pair of girls to come onto another gentleman's property and peruse it - especially when not escorted by the castle's head maid, and whilst the masters of the castle were present.
So Rowan bowed his head, golden hair fell around his eyes, but he swept his head around in a smooth, calm manner that brought his hair out of his face. "May I help you with something?"
Rowan could offer nothing more, and less would have had him hauling both girls out into the water once more.
Lilo sat beside Rowan, staring disinterestedly into the distance, though her ears were pricked to hear all the goings on. Her dark red fur shone in the afternoon light.

It was now Bran's turn to sit and watch. He sat with his feet hanging over the edge of a balcony watching as Rowan approached the two girls who'd entered into his garden so indiscriminantly. He heard only a dim echo of what was being said and watched each and every movement the girls made to try to assess their intentions for coming here. It had been long since any entered from the outside world and to have some visitors so suddenly was both exciting and disconcerting. They knew little of the outside world, now. They'd been apart from it for so long. What interest would that world have concerning them? None, right?
Bran continued sitting and thinking while observing the going-ons below. There were many questions and nothing to do but wait for the right moment and find out the answers.

Breeze noticed Serene's stiff posture, and watched the approaching man apprehensively. Slowly, she edged around Serene, standing slightly behind her, unsure of what to do.
As the man stopped before them, Breeze studied his features closely. He was nothing like the other man that they had met, and Breeze was glad for that. He seemed comfortable with himself, and walked with a self assurance that few people had. Neither he nor his dog seemed pleased to see them, his blank, unreadable face and his dog's obvious disinterest making Breeze feel slightly uncomfortable and unwelcome. As he spoke, she was startled by the baritone she heard, somehow surprised at the deep sound of his voice. Curiously interested as she was, she couldn't bring herself to speak or ask any of her previous questions, shy and slightly afraid of the strange new man

"Afternoon, umm... " Was all Serene could get out for a bit as her attention snapped back to the man as he asked his question. She glanced back at Breeze. Aren't you supposed to be protecting me? She asks, half jokingly. I'm the littler one.
Finally, she organized a little of her thoughts well enough to respond to the man.
"What is this place?" she asks, motioning to everything within and also including the buildings outside the barrier.

Breeze blushed at Serene's question.I'm afraid, and you don't seem to be she retorted somewhat defensively, but moved slightly so she wasn't behind Serene anymore, but still didn't say anything to the man facing them

((Sorry for the long absence.))
"Water... I suppose she could have been in an underwater cave. There was air around her. But the light wasn't right," he mutters idly, pacing after Arianna and Brody. Approaching the beach as the other man tosses his gear down on the sand, his pale blue eyes seach the water's surface as if trying to see beyond its reflective surface. A voice from behind him draws him from his examination and he peers back into the forest for some indication as to where the voice came from.

At the sound of a girl's voice, Arianna glanced back, slowing her pace slightly, and eventually stopping. She waited as the girl approached, wondering at the number of lost people nowadays. She stood with her weight on one foot and her other foot tapping gently on the ground, almost impatiently.

*Noticing the girl's impatience, she ran to catch up and arrived slightly breathless in front of the pair of people.*
I'm... terribly sorry... to have kept... you waiting. *She managed between gulps of air. Then, getting a hold of her condition she continued more normally* I didn't mean to impede upon you in any way, but thank you for waiting for me.

Loen nods briefly to the girl, accepting the apology offhand. Turning his attention back to the sparkling lake, he approaches the water's edge and voices a rather practical question in Arianna's general direction.
"Can you swim?"

Rowan's face was unreadable - though he inwardly smirked at the older girl's fear. He assumed she was older by her larger size, at least. Instead, Rowan fixed his gaze on the smaller girl, honey eyes warm but detached. His hands moved from his back around to stick his thumbs in his belt and he peered at Serene, evaluating her worth slowly.
"This is our castle. Mine, and Master Bran's. I believe you've already met him. And this," Rowan twisted to wave an arm around the garden, "is our garden. Bran especially does not take kindly to those who trespass in it.
You must forgive Master Bran for his behavior earlier. We are... unaccustomed to visitors - and Bran is still very much a child at heart."
Rowan's gaze turned suddenly sharp and hard, his back straightened and his pose grew formal and distant. Lilo's head snapped to stare at both girls, her own gaze equal to Rowan's.
"It is, however, not your place to ask such questions - as you are the... guests. I must, however, ask what you are doing here." Rowan's rich baritone voice sounded dark and powerful. Not unkind, but not kind at the same time - stern and unbending.

((lol i love your new name. It's totally cute and awe-inspiring at the same time))
Breeze made a face as the man mentioned the earlier man and named him Bran. Bran, huh... he really was childish, but it can't hurt to give him another chance she thought, not truly wanting conflict with the owners of this large castle.
She noticed the change in the man's posture, and gathered her courage to answer the question he had asked. "We were exploring. We were bored above the lake and decided to explore the wonders underwater, although we never expected something as wondrous as this" she replied glancing around, beginning slightly defiantly, and ending in a slightly awe-stricken tone.
"We are sorry if we have disturbed you, Mister..." she added, remembering her manners with a little lilt to indicate that he hadn't yet told them his name.

"Yes" She said, surprised he asked, though thinking over it, it made sense for him to have asked. She turned to the new girl. "I'm Arianna, Air. What is it that you are in need of? If it's to learn about this place, we're currently on a mission to find one who may know more than ourselves." She began wading into the water as she spoke stopping when she was waist deep and looking back.
