HOMG. Well, I figured I'd post this here as it's my first attempt at major reposing. The arms are completely my own and it was very very hard to call it quits on them as the anatomy muse was having difficulty matching them up with the oversized head. Explanation on the actual edit. So my D&D character has an intelligent greatsword that's smarter than she is. He can cast spells. My favorite one right now is where Cavral grows red dragon wings. It's great fun. Without the blood... and without the sword/wings so you can see the hair and pose...

Lucca Ashtear Whoa. I usually go at about 500% magnification... 800 at the most, for really detailed pixel work... What on earth? I've never zoomed once. I mean, the customer's can't, so they couldn't see...

I mean, the customer's can't, so they couldn't see... I can. Seriously, I can tell just by looking at your edits that you'd do better if you zoomed in a bit. You get much better control over the lines that way! Try it sometime. @Madame Solo: Play. KotOR. NOW. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is one of my favorite games, and its sequel is even better.

Dove - I have a question for you on lace patterns - do you have actual patterns that you follow or do you make them up?
I am pitifully unsuccessful in my lacy attempts, though I desperately want to learn how to pull off lace patterns.

Lucca Ashtear Star Wars is far from being tiny to me... and you'd be miffed too if you were as often ignored as I. ignored? u? haha cmon now, lucca.. uve posted so many nice edits recently its just that we've not enough comments to keep up with ur torrid pace.. plus, im sure u get tons of praise in the other edit post threads.
dont worry, i see all ur edits in ur shoppe whenever u update anyways.. and even tho i dont comment on every single project of urs, i still appreciate the time n talent u put into them. wink *pins the weekly drama queen award on the lovely ferret-girl* rofl wedsday, i understand ur comment about if the customers wont notice, why go the extra mile.. and ur edits looks extremely good as is, but understand, most of us here have a slight flavoring of perfectionist inside us.
zoom is a great way to work on tiny details much more easily. if u have the extra time, try using it.. u can always zoom out again to see the big picture. 3nodding

STKMisu Dove - I have a question for you on lace patterns - do you have actual patterns that you follow or do you make them up?
I am pitifully unsuccessful in my lacy attempts, though I desperately want to learn how to pull off lace patterns. Mostly I just play it by ear, throw some pizels together... But I guess its also important to decide before what kind of pattern you want... Well, there are a few types of lace... If you want a pattern that focuses on a larger bit of the lace, like a flower shaped piece or a big solid block like area, its best to start with that, then build up a few randomly placed yet four-way symetrical pixels around it, then tile it all together. To keep it from looking too bland, when you're filling in the extra pixels, remember to keep variety, with some of the pixels side by side and some of them staggered. Lace is as much about the holes as it is about what is there, so you usually want to keep it 50/50 or more, depending on the look you want. Usually you wont need a huge sheet of lace, so i paste the lace layer in, outline in black the area i want to contain the lace, select the center of the outline, change the layer to the lace lace, do selelction... inverse, and delete the part i don't need.
