Fyrin's head spun a little. "Assault weapons?" he inquired. "I have a few stored. Expensive stuff," he added hopefully, apparently checking his memory to see if he had any more cash. He pulled another bandage free and repeated the process, but a live chicken emerged instead. "Whoops," he muttered, wrapping it back into the bandage and tucking it into his sleeve. He tried again and produced another briefcase. "There we are," he said with a grin, pushed it open, and revealed another stack of gold coins. "Two work for you? I think that's my life savings."

"I don't need assault weapons," the Necroguild Disciple irately responded. "I need, I repeat, money or rare spell reagents in an amount equivalent to a hundred million dollars. I suspect you don't have enough hundreds of suitcases of gold to approach that price."

Fyrin nodded slowly. "Agreed. I don't believe I'll be able to provide you with sufficient amounts of straight cash. I do believe, however, that I can provide you with something... far more valuable. Souls. Do you have any idea how much a soul is worth?" Fyrin said with the attitude of a smile. "I presume you still have necromancers, and I could give them training worth more than what you're asking."

"We deal with souls on our own," the Disciple replied. "Now, for you to offer your services... we can cut the Reversal Fee in half for you to train five of our Master Necromancers to your level if you can demonstrate some truly potent necromancy. We have enough liches already, I assure you. I'll tell you what. At my rank, I'm authorized to negotiate details. I'll cut the price to a fourth if you can do that."

"Truly potent necromancy?" Fyrin smiled. "Would you care for me to demonstrate the proper method of removing the soul from the body? Or would you like me to demonstrate the results of a properly done reanimation?"

He nodded. "It's no Blood Magic, but it'll do. So, 25 million still."

"25 million? Hmm..." Fyrin examined his briefcases. This was his life savings, and he estimated it at 15 million. 10 million short. Where in the high heavens could they get 10 million dollars?

((Of course, all of Fyrin's savings are not in gold bullion. Personally, he'd have maybe a million or two. In funding from his demon patron, he'd get another 15 million for extended periods of time, meant to be used for the arming and armoring of those he commands. xd ))
"There's always rare spell reagents. Hell, I'll halve the fee again if you can get me a dragon's eye."

((Ooooooh okay.))
Fyrin nodded slightly. Eye of a dragon, eh? Now that, just maybe... He'd need to talk to Ma'Krogeyna.
Pulling off the smallest bone he felt he could afford (the fingertip of his remaining hand; the other hand had started to grow back but was being slow), he began carving tiny etchings into it with a jet of fire. A Shadow demon would be able to read them. If not, Fyrin must've forgotten something about Ma'Krogeyna's literacy.
He dropped the bone into his shadow, where it promptly disappeared. "A moment," he requested. "I might be able to procure you something."
The message was simple. It read, "Do we have any dragon's eyes on stock? If not, can we get some somehow?"

Fyrin felt the answer in his mind.
No. To both. The closest we have that can be brought out is two claws, a fang, and three scales. As few as possible of each, if you would?

Fyrin thought on this. He made his offer. "Well, on hand we have two claws, a fang, and three scales. Plus my little stash of gold here. How's that work?"

"All of it, and your your services in training later, and I'll walk away," the Necroguild man declared.

Fyrin gave a nod, then pulled another bone off his pinky. He scratched the message on and dropped it into his shadow.
"He wants all of it. Also, can I have a hand and the two end pinky bones that I've dumped on you?
I suppose I haven't explained - we're bribing a Necroguild man off our tail, hopefully he'll assist me against Legion. With any luck we'll get some luck here.
Final part of the deal I haven't mentioned - he demands training I've offered. I hope that's acceptable."

Ah. Well. Keep the training as brief as possible, but for your sake... don't go back on your word. The items in question arose from Fyrin's shadow.

Fyrin gathered them. "So. Willing to keep your word?" he asked. He also nabbed up the hand that Ma'Krogeyna had given him, slid it into the bandages, and was no longer required to waste mana creating a hand of some other variety.
