More or less aware of the other man's presence, Loen's face showed a distinct lack of surprise as the fellow left his tree perch and dropped to the ground to introduce himself to the young femme. He gives a slight shrug to show his grudging assent at further companionship, stuffs his hands into the pockets of his worn old jacket, and turns to start walking.
"Let's start looking, then."

SilentBreeze90 Breeze watched Serene for a while, glancing into the building Serene had decided to enter first, then swam off to see how big the village was and get an idea of the structure of the village to be sure they would not go exploring and lose themselves. Before completing her circuit however, she noticed something and raced back to Serene, and started to pull on Serene's arm to view her findings.
((thats ok, I'm doing Lang and Chem hw too, and I do NOT sound like Tarek... I'm NOT a tour guide at all!!!)) Serene batted at Breeze for her insistent pulling and finally turned away from what she was inspecting to look at Breeze with a mixture of curiosity, expectancy and the slightest bit of annoyance for being pulled away from her own exploration. ((Lol but you must admit, it does sound a little like what he'd say. "These buildings were in better condition than the previous cottage, as they still had intricately carved doors and slight markings where paint might once have colored the outside walls."))

serenesan Serene batted at Breeze for her insistent pulling and finally turned away from what she was inspecting to look at Breeze with a mixture of curiosity, expectancy and the slightest bit of annoyance for being pulled away from her own exploration. ((Lol but you must admit, it does sound a little like what he'd say. SilentBreeze90 Breeze pulled her out of her building and to the place that she had previously stopped, and pointed outward, away form the buildings, to large castle that stood at the deepest part of the lake, and almost reached the surface of the lake, only missing by a few meters or so. It was quite a bit away, and had a slight aura around it that shimmered in the water, and had probably prevented them from seeing it from farther away. Serene balked at the sight. Had she been standing on land, she probably would have collasped and just sat in wonder. The castle was beautiful. It lit everything around it so that the base was lit despite the darkness of the deeper portions of the lake. A passing thought came to make her wonder why it was that it was all lie up when all the surrounding buildings were dark. She in turned pulled Breeze to go closer and inspect.

Rowan stood at the window of a tower, arms crossed across his dark, bare chest, and golden eyes glowing as he stared down at a pair of unusual forms swimming towards his and Bran's castle.
His back was straight, and his long chestnut hair just stirred in the high breeze, carressing his back between his shoulder blades and brushing his dimpled cheeks tenderly. Rowan's face was completely stoic - it was empty. Not the aristocratic nose, nor the thin, wide lips betrayed any feeling - and his eyes were as hard and cold as tiger's eye crystals. His deep, sunbaked skin glowed slightly in the warm afternoon light, making the lightness of eyes and hair seem odd.
He stood like that, legs set apart and a proud, regalness to his posture for a few long moments before a great hawk swooped through the high arch of the window and landed gracefully on Rowan's now outstretched upper arm.
"Well?"
Metallic, golden eyes identical to Rowan's swivelled to stare passively at the man-creature. The bird's beak opened a little, and she spoke directly into Rowan's mind.
'Two girl-creatures. They seem harmless.' Her voice was much softer and kinder than Rowan's deep, harsh baritone, and she ruffled her feathers and smoothed them, as if her own tone had soothed them into place.
"Perhaps we ought to offer them a proper welcome. Where is Bran?" Rowan replied quietly. The hawk seemed to shrug mentally before it was off Rowan's arm and shifted into a Roc.
Rowan leapt onto her back and both creatures flew down to the shore to greet the new visitors to the castle.

Unaware of the scrutiny she is under, Breeze continues to Serene, swimming quickly and immediately grabbing Serene's hand and pushing it through the light area, pushing her own hand through as well. This time, there is a slight movement of wind on their hands, and Breeze started again, having assumed that there could be no breeze underwater, then looking abashed as she realized that the castle and the light aura with air themselves were also quite impossible

The roc lands heavily on a low battlement of the castle, her golden eyes watching the two women closely. Rowan was straddled over her shoulders, fingering the wrist-claws he wore at his sides. They were sheathed, but the straps were tightened in a way so that if he thrust his fists through and grasped the straps tightly enough, they would fit snugly over his knuckles.
He didn't think he'd need them, however. He examined the girls as they explored the little 'barrier' between water-body and establishment, his eyes flashing bright yellow-gold in the dying sunlight. He was silent - but low enough and close enough that if the two girls looked up and over, they would clearly see the forms of a gargantuan bird-monster with a humanoid on her back.
Rowan stopped fiddling with his claws, his fingers dug instead into the feathery mane of the Roc's neck, stroking it and brushing it gently. Doing this was simply habit to Rowan, and soothed him as much as it soothed her.

Bran swung around the terrace and jumped down lightly to land next to Rowan, his arm still around the column he'd used as a fulcrum. He turned his grey eyes to look down upon the two figures with a slight smirk on his face. "Can we mess with them?" he asks Rowan as he shifts to stand with feet apart, hands on hips, and his head held high. The two standing together made an interesting pair: Rowan, with his dark features yet light hair and eyes and Bran, with his light features and dark tousled hair; Rowan with his severe and stark face and Bran with his devilish grin.
He continuted to watch as they discovered the barrier surrounding the castle and laughed inwardly at their surprised expressions.

There was no water. At all. She turned to Breeze and then swam to the ground, figuring that if there is no water, then to step through whatever it was that kept the water out would leave them falling quite a ways down if they were halfway up the building. She put both feet firmly on the ground before taking a deep 'breath' and stepping through the barrier. She now stood on dry ground, breathing actual air and not what was filtered from the water. She was, however, soaked, which was a little uncomfortable. She closed her eyes briefly and summoned up a warm wind to dry Breeze and herself off. She pulled out the ties in her disheveled hair and let her hair flow free and dry.
