Breeze floats down to the island, landing near a bubbling spring, and sipping at the cool water flowing from the ground. She then stands up again, looking around for something to do, and finally settles for sitting and reading in a nearby tree's embrace

Serene bided her time above her sister, waiting for her to get completely absorbed in her book as she often did. Then she pounced onto her head and then onto her book, completely distracting her from reading and almost making the book, and subsequently herself, fall out of Breeze's hands.

Engrossed as she was in her book, Breeze never noticed Serene set above her, and jumped as Serene pounced on her and her book. She was so surprised that she almost fell forward before catching herself on the branch. "Serene! You scared me" she said, stating the obvious. "That was dangerous, we almost both fell off"

She looked down casually and shrugged.
It's not THAT high up. We'd survive. And get stronger for it! ^-^
Majorly faulty logic that it was, it was true. They'd most likely survive and just take a little time to heal and be no worse off for the experience. And perhaps learn a few lessons like not to get engrossed in books while sitting in a tree and not jumping on people who were engrossed in books sitting in a tree.

"I never said we'd die, I just said it was dangerous, which is anything not safe, and falling from a tree branch is not what I'd call safe" Breeze countered with her own faulty logic, knowing that the argument would probably have little effect on her little sister.

Breeze tried to stay serious, but lost to bubbly, uncontrolled laughter, nearly falling off the tree again, and dropping the poor book to the floor. Realizing how close she came to falling again, Breeze hopped lightly onto the ground and sat down under the shade of the same tree. "Sure Serene, its fun, now you can prove it by falling off, if you'd like."

Why fall off when I can just jump off onto you again?
Serene inquired as she hopped lightly off the branch to land on Breeze's head.

"I thought you said it was fun, so wouldn't you want to have fun and jump off?" Breeze lifts Serene gently off her head, and deposits her in her lap

I did jump off, just didn't fall off. Or I suppose you could say I fell onto your head?
Serene crawls off Breeze's lap and sprawls out on the ground, looking slightly silly being a kitty.

"Ok, fine. Talk about technicalities" Tired of sitting, Breeze gets up and starts walking toward the lake, then turns around to the sprawled out Serene. "You coming?"

Serene thinks a bit, being rather comfy where she is and having a dislike of water in this form, she decides no. Then the girl inside reared it's head and in a blink of an eye, she transformed and became the little girl she usually went around as and ran after Breeze.
"Yes!"

Laughing, Breeze waits for Serene to catch up, then continues walking toward the lake, taking off her shoes and dipping her feet in it

As she approached, running, Serene got a mischevious idea since Breeze was so demurely dipping feet into the water. Serene bowled into her to knock her completely into the water, the momentum making her fall in and getting immediately soaked to the bone.

Breeze yelped as she was bowled into the water, swallowing a mouthful of lake water while she was at it. Getting up again, she saw the soaked Serene, and decided to splash her anyways.
