The silence stretched after Celia had finished and it almost seemed like silence would be her only answer for a while there.
It wasn't because she didn't want to tell the other girl. She'd asked nicely and earlier she'd even tried to tell Jett. It was just hard to talk about it, hard and... There was someone who could tell about it, for her at that, and she could get a moment's respite too.

Suddenly moving, Micoi turned back from the glas doors again, but without turning completely towards Celia, yet again. Not really looking at the other girl, she waved at her, motioning for her to come over to her own side.

Well, that wasn't a sign for 'go away' so far as the knight knew...She walked quietly over to Micoi, with a little bit of a smile for her. She hoped that whatever had happened, maybe there was the chance that she could help make the Queen feel at least a little bit better.

When Celia had arrived at the other dragon's side, there passed a second before Micoi looked up at the standing knight. And her eyes were shining. Wait a min--

The drawing room disappeared in a lesser maelstrom of light and faded rainbow hues, blinding anyone in its presnece for a second. When the spinning feeling, a moment later, faded and the light followed suit, a new and striking scene was what greeted the eye. Stone resemling marble somewhat with its semimatte finish, the colors all around were unbrokenly silver blue and off-white, except for any gay colored material, like draperies or the like, that hung or lay here and there. Tall columns and long hallways, the architecture was certainly stunning... and certainly not of the Dragon Castle.

Not too far away, a man stood by a fountain lowered into the ground under the open roof of a small inner courtyard. He slowly turned, a smile spreading on his lips, then turning into a grin, as he registered who it was that had suddenly appeared in his house.

Walking over to the colonnade that framed the courtyard and held up the roof of the hallways surrounding it and the rooms beyond, Kanak stopped to lean lazily on one of the smooth columns, grinning at his guests. "Well, sweet to see you, my dear," he told Micoi, shooting a grin at the knight beside his long time protégé.

The sensation of being transported by the dragon eyes was...Unsettling. Celia put a hand up at once, hanging onto Kahaku as though they might be seperated while moving if she didn't. "L...Lady Micoi....um..."Even as they were moving, she was trying to ask just what was going to happen, but couldn't manage to do so. When they finally had stopped, the knight had the vaguest feeling she didn't even need to ask.

For a few, rather shocked seconds, Celia glanced around at the structure they were in...It was...grand, to say the least...But it made her nervous for some reason...She didn't know what it was, but...Suddenly her head started to ache. It was a dull pain, somewhere from the back of her skull...She tried to shake it off, assuming it was just something from the sudden shock of the transport.

That, was when she spotted Kanak...and his grin. A little shutter went down her spine. For some reason, she was uncomfortable with him around...Very, very uncomfortable...Somehow, she found herself standing slightly behind Micoi...almost hiding. Celia, at least, was rather intimidated by the Yokai.

Micoi didn't seem to notice Celia's slightly off behavior towards the illusion demon and hurredly closed the few steps between herself and Kanak, hugging him. She seemed to whisper something to him, since he tilted his head down somewhat, as if listening for her voice as he hugged her to himself with one arm, the other still on the column beside him for balance.

Kanak nodded once before speaking. "By the way, Micoi, Meeya's here." The girl in his arms stepped back and looked at his face, questioning.

"Where?" The demon simply did a thumbs down, a jerking motion, pointing towards the floor... or what lay beneath it. The girl's face brightened in a smile and she suddenly sped off down a hallway, not a thought about Celia.

She stayed back as Micoi ran to hug Kanak, obviously feeling it wasn't her place to do anything. However, when Micoi started down the hallway, she panicked. The Knight started after her, glancing only a little at the Yokai, hoping he wasn't actually quite as...well, unnerving, as he felt to her...

'Celia, come on, we should catch up...'said Kahaku, not wanting to lose sight of Micoi again...Especially not here...The last time they had come to this continent, he had no say in it, nor any way of making his opinion known until after they got back...Then, he kept it to himself...However, he couldn't help but wonder how much damage had really been done to his Knight while they were on the magical continent...

"Stop." The voice was calm but there was a certainly feeling to it that made you think that if you didn't do as it asked, or demanded?, the speaker would just make you do what he wanted. "And turn," Kanak finished, not moving from his position where he leaned on the column, the light from the open sky shining in through the atrium making his black hair and dark violet eyes seem even darker.

"Um..well...now isn't...exactly...the best time so...."Celia was hoping if she just kept walking, maybe he wouldn't do anything..."I have to catch up to Lady Micoi, soo....so yeah..."she mumbled, her voice almost fading away as she hoped to just keep going. That's all she had to do...Just put the one foot in front of the other, swap, and then repeat...that was it...She could do that...Definitely...There was the door Micoi had gone through, it was so close! But somehow, it felt like all those extra steps across the room would take an eternity and a half as long as she felt those eyes upon her.

An arm suddenly snaked itself around her and in front of her throat, far from ever touching her but an effective blockade. The demon was now standing right behind the knight and leaning down, his lips ending up not too far from her ear. "I thought you would have gotten enough manners to know to respect the wishes of someone whose home you've entered," he said in a low but calm voice. There was nothing threatening about it, except perhaps for the nearness of the youkai himself. Or perhaps the closeness of his lips to her ear.

"Now, I'm not about to believe that you people are so afraid she'll run off into some trouble that you won't let her visit home on her own. She grew up here, after all." You could hear the smile in his voice but not easily place it into the category of simply content, self-satisfied or something else. "So why are you here? My little darling mentioned something about a question."

"Its...Its not that I'm worried about that! I...I know Lady Micoi can take care of herself...And that she more than likely wouldn't have to here...But..."Truthfully, it was something between being worried for the Queen based on what had happened in town, and not wanting to be left alone...None the less alone with the Yokai who freaked her out. Of course, when he spoke of the question, she had to answer; didn't that mean that Micoi had wanted him to explain it?

Celia bit her lip and let out a little sigh, "She...wasn't well, this morning...and...I wanted to know if she was okay...Or wanted to maybe talk about it...so..." Really, from there she didn't know quite were to let her words fall...And the sound of that smirk...wait, it sounded more like a smile, why had she called it a smirk? Regardless, it was almost as unnerving as Kanak was himself to her.

She felt a vague pang in the back of her head...The ache had grown, just a bit...Presumably, because she was a little emotional at the moment...She hoped it would pass swiftly...

Just as suddenly as the arm had come to block her path, it disappeared again, Kanak now standing with his back to Celia as he walked back towards the columns. "Unwell, hunh? Micoi?" He turned and once again took up a leaning position against a column, looking down at the shorter female a few steps across of him. "She usually isn't not well. So there has to be a reason for it. What did you do?" he asked. It wasn'tpossible to tell whether he was just asking or accusing the Dragon Clan of not taking care of his little baby properly.

"I...I didn't do anything!"she said a little hurtly; Instead of taking it as the whole of the Dragon Clan being at fault, Celia had taken it as though he were blaming her personally. "She was just in town...and then...She seemed really upset when I saw her with Lord Jet...And...Kahaku said she had come out of one of the old mansions in town...But..."she paused. Honestly, before this, she hadn't given that too much thought. "...it must have been in her family..."she muttered a little to herself, remembering how she had read about a mansion in that area that had been empty for a very long time...Apparently, it had been sealed with magic so only one of the bloodline could open it...

"Is that what upset her?"she asked, a concerned look suddenly jumping to her face with a small tilt of her head to the left, looking directly at Kanak for the first time since they had arrived. This, was obvious, true worry...If the old house had been what caused it, could the Knight figure out a way to fix it?

"Her family?" Up until now, the demon had more or less had an expression that read "bored with you" glued to his face, but now his brows narrowed as he look at the knight. "If she remembered her family, then that's the problem. And it's not something that should have happened. That was better left buried," he said, finally pushing away from the column to stand on his own, though not moving closer to Celia.

She was a little nervous as he moved away from the column, but didn't budge. Now, she was in, and she was going to find a way to make it better...Or, try really, really hard until it was obvious there was nothing she could do, and...well, then probably bake something for Micoi. "W...Will you tell me what happened? To her family, I mean..."it wasn't out of some kind of sick and morbid curiosity she wanted to know, but out of worry for the Queen-to-be...what if she had remembered something truly horrible? Had they left her somewhere? Had they died? Had they been killed?

...Celia knew very well what it was like to lose a parent in a terrible way...Two, in fact...But even so, from Micoi's reaction, if the last of her three possible conclusions was the truth, then it must have been something most horrific...And in all honesty, because of that, The Knight really wasn't sure she would be able to help...

Kanak simply looked at the dragon for what seemed like the longest moment, then he sighed and brushed some bangs away from the side of his face. "They were probably high nobilty from Dusis, seeing their elaborate family crest on the carriage," Kanak said before setting his eyes on Celia and seemingly holding her there with his stare. "They were simply one of those people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time and with too little mercenaries to guard them. And that's all there is to it.

"Micoi was 5 when I met her. Don't ask me why and don't ask me how, because it'd be a waste of breath on your part, I'm not going to tell why I took her in. But what I can tell is that I did go back and take a look at the scene she'd left behind when she took off running through a dangerous and partly demon and raider-infested forest. You avarage simpleminded demon attack," clearly he didn't count himself as one of them, "of that time. Made clean house, you could say. A bit of a butchery. Her mother had probably tried to flee with her and she had watched, if not the whole slaughter, then at least her mother getting killed. Of course, she probably saw the whole scene when leaving too," Kanak said with a waving gesture in the air.

"She was young. Children don't have any use for such memories, so they tend to forget them... or force them away. I only had to deal with her nightmares for half a year," he finished, waving it away as if it was unimportant. Perhaps it was, perhaps it wasn't. Or perhaps he was just acting nonchalantly when it meant so much more to him. It was hard,if not impossible, to tell.
