Hello all, I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still around, and the reason I haven't been super active is that I just got an xbox one and it's pretty amazing! Anywho, I definitely plan on getting an rp post in here no later than by tomorrow night, but for now I need to return to the Battlefield (4 that is) blaugh

I was never able to get good at Mega Man, but if I could go back to my childhood and get one game (And console) as a kid, I'd get the SNES and ChronoTrigger. Game was amazing. Instead I had Mario/Duckhunt on a joint cartridge... And that was about it.

One does not simply "Forget" ChronoTrigger. One of the best games of all time should never be forgotten. It's just not right.

So, are you planning on sticking around for awhile? I didn't even realize you were still in the guild. XD

You should make a character then! If you make a student you'll be able to join in the academy "Arc" we're going through right now. Or, just for the heck of it, if you expect to be active and are willing to help out, I can approve you for a chuunin autorank. I'm sure Luo won't mind. He's been saying we need some genin and chuunin for awhile now. As a chuunin you'd mostly just be expected to help out with the students and eventually possibly lead a team once they become genin. Otherwise you'd have mostly free reign to do as you like about town.

You should consider joining our IRC channel. Especially if you're gonna be a teacher. I'm almost always there, Luo is as well a lot of the time but isn't as likely to respond quickly, and a few others pop in when they're around. Not everyone unfortunately, but a lot. We use the channel for planning a lot, anything from what lesson to do next, and how it'll go, to possible missions, system changes, new demons, and all sorts of fun stuff. We don't really have a separate crew channel right now, so anyone who pops in tends to have some chance at giving input on whatever we happen to be doing. Unless we're planning an arc or something, in which case we change the subject.

Also I get bored when I'm all alone in the IRC, and start wishing I had someone to ramble at about whatever I happen to be working on at the time

Autoranks receive MP and Currency equal to that which they would have gained by doing the bare minimum for each rank up. They can then use that money to buy whatever they want, equipment or jutsu. I believe the exact value for a chuunin is in the announcement thread somewhere, cause I made an announcement about it awhile back. If not, it is just the value you'd gain from your MP.

It's also considered a good idea, if just for fun, to make up names for your auto-missions. Just pick whatever rank of missions you like, sensibly, to attain the total MP value for a chuunin promotion. (Having your own mental stories for at least a few of the missions also helps with some background stuff.)

I dunno if you planned this with Luo or not, but i just realized that with the way you made him, if Hikaro isn't able to pick up enough activity when genjutsu classes come along he'd make a good substitute, lol.

Side note, we've made a habit so far of associating each branch of the village, and even some of the students with a specific councilor who would likely be the one they report to most of the time. There's even been a few times where we've referred to some chuunin NPCs as being under a specific councilor. You would definitely fall under Rin's territory, since she's associated with our intelligence and espionage areas, and our resident genjutsu master. Shikaku is also under her, though he doesn't know that yet, being a student and all. Which makes it even more amusing that he's sorta terrified of her.

Anyways, since you weren't able to learn very many actual techniques, you're welcome to sit in on the academy lessons if you like. Or hide in the background so none of the kids know you're observing the lessons, lol. If you do, you'll be able to learn the academy jutsu for free. That's what we're sneakily doing with our characters too sometimes, lol. Since academy lessons are technically taught from scrolls, the teachers are able to learn alongside the students, even if we do write it as if they knew the jutsu already.
