Lily nodded, smiling; a light pink along her cheeks. "I'd love to, but for now I have to get to class." She smiled, kissing him on the cheek before grabbing her bag. "See you." She waved before exiting the Great Hall. She decided to go to the owlery before leaving to class. She walked with a smile on her face.[[Exit.]]

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor Lucas walked with Fionna down to the great hall and sat next to her at the Gryffindor table. Her sitting next to her in the train compartment was one of the best things that had ever happened to him. Bacon, eggs, sausages, toast, pancakes, waffles, every breakfast food he could have dreamed of was in front of him. "So they seriously have this much food every day?" He asked, taking a bite of some toast. "Awesome." He'd always eaten what he'd recieved and gotten no more, so this was incredible. Sure, he had had good food, but this tasted like a 5-star restaurant. The other older students seemed used to it, but he could definitly recognize how amazing this was.

She sat down with him looking at the food like a starved puppy. Food was her weakness. Give her some and she will chow it down. She piled her plate with some of her favorite foods and poured herself a glass of orange juice. "Oh yea. The house elves work hard to keep it all ready, but I think they get to eat whatever is leftover, or so i've heard. They really are sweet." She had on more than one occasion snuck down to the kitchens to get food for a party or, on her first occasion, to see the house elves. She took large bites from her plate in an attempt to fill herself up for the day ahead.

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor "That's pretty great, at least they aren't treated like slaves if they get to eat good food too." He'd never known all that much about house elves, only what he'd read. His family wasn't wealthy enough to own one, even if they weren't poor. He'd seen pictures of them but he'd never actually met one. He didn't want to look like a complete wild beast in front of her so he didn't chow down too bad, even though he did take fairly big bites. Well, he was hungry! He thought defensively. And at least Fionna wasn't one of those preppy annoying girls that would only eat a salad and practically starve themselves to look pretty. She looked pretty anyways. He shook the thought of his mind. She doesn't like you like that, you're just friends, don't ruin that. He reminded himself. He found himself reminding himself of that more and more as he was around her.

Though even if they were treated like slaves they probably wouldn't mind it. It's just how they are." She said shrugging. Some families still treated their house elves terribly. It was mainly the rich Slytherins though. Fionna poured herself another glass, though this time she poured some milk. While setting it back down though she lost her grip and it slipped out of her hand and spilled on a section of the table. "Oh no." Fionna said as she tried to think of something to fix it. She hoped she hadn't splashed Lucas with any of it. That would embarrass her further.

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor A bit of milk splashed on Lucas's pants but he said, "Don't worry about it." Took out his wand and said "Tergeo", which got rid of the milk from his pants and the table cloth. It was a siphoning spell that had been used on him a couple times when he came home from the woods with blood on his wounds. It got rid of crusted blood and spilled things well. He put the milk right side up again and then poured some orange juice for himself.
"So you have Muggle Studies first again this morning, or something else?" He asked. He hoped she might have the same class he did, it was nice to have someone he knew in his classes.

She sat back down when he had it all fixed. "Thanks. It just slipped right out of my hand." She said. She didn't know what was wrong. Fionna was usually NEVER clumsy. Fionna let out a deep breathe and went back to her food.
Fionna tried to recall her schedule at his question. "Ah, nope. I believe I have DADA first today." She told him hoping she remembered her schedule correctly. She slightly hoped he had it as well so they could walk to class together.

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor "Great!" Lucas said, perhaps a bit happier than any normal person would've sounded. "I have that class too." He twirled his fork a bit and said, "You wanna walk up there together?" Why did he have to sound so stupid? In his mind he was hitting himself over the head. He knew it now, more clearly than before. He didn't just like her as a friend if he was honest with himself. Dangitt, why so sudden? They barely knew each other? Yet he couldn't help but feel at ease around her, it was as if she already knew his secret and didn't care. Part of him wished it were true, since she'd accepted him so quickly already, but another part of him wished he could take the secret to the grave and never tell a soul.

"I'd love to." She said quickly, and then cursed inwardly for sounding a little too eager. She looked to see that both of them had finished most their food and she stood up saying, "We better get going, we don't want to be late." She really wanted to intertwine her hand with his, but that was nothing friends did. No, she had to keep them to herself. Thus, Fionna began to pick away at her nail polish again.

Lucas- 6th year Gryffindor Lucas couldn't wipe the smile off his face no matter how hard he tried as they walked out of the great hall. Really though, he wasn't exactly trying very hard. He noticed her picking her nails though and he tugged her hand away again before putting both his hands in his shabby pocket robes, bookbag slung over his shoulder. "Stoppit!" He said laughing. "You're nails look great, don't pick at them." He kept walking with her to D.A.D.A and did his best not to stare at her dazzling smile, did his best not to look to happy, but he knew he failed, though in complete honesty, he didn't really care.

Aamir Kunal Khemu | Professor | Friend of Ravenclaw The feelings I had being back inside of Hogwarts were unbelievable, I had returned to the school that had once molded my young mind into the powerful tool it is today. Nothing had changed inside of the castle apart from the bustling students trying to scurry their ways into the classrooms. From the overall panic and chaos of the halls I could only assume that it was the first day of classes; my class was yet to begin since I was just a potential Professor candidate. Even if it was not official yet, I still felt like one of those influential people who change the life of the youngsters. It was nearing the hour of noon when I arrived in the Great Hall and lunch was just beginning; piles of food were already in the silver dishes amongst the tables. I had to restrain myself from sitting at the Ravenclaw table and instead willed my body to sit at the Professors table; with Merlin’s good will I would be one in a short time. I didn’t see any teachers nor staff around, their classes must have still been going, so I filled my plate with the exquisite cuisine that the fine cooks had made and began to eat my meal with great relish and devoured the morsels. I was looking very forward to meeting the staff of the castle and prayed I would make a friend or two.

Lena
A huge smile on her face, Lena stood in front of the two opened doors that lead into the Great Hall. There were already quite a few students that sat at the four house tables, and then the teachers at the staff table, and all but one seat was occupied. The teacher probably hadn’t yet arrived. Lena walked into the hall and sat down at the first empty seat she saw, waiting for the sorting ceremony to begin. It ended rather quickly, for there were only five students to be sorted. After the sorting and a few words from the headmistress, Lena began pilling magnificent foods of all kinds into her plate and ate. At home, the food prepared by her mother was very, very good. But nothing beat the Hogwarts elf-prepared food. And then there was the dessert; the delicious pudding. When she was done, her stomach feeling like it would explode and feeling quite sleepy, she listened to more words from the Headmistress while her chin rested on the table. However, the words spoken by the Headmistress were unexpected and were quite worrying so she lifted her head and listened closely. One of the teachers, the one that was to occupy the empty seat, was missing? She wondered when he’d be found, or would show up. As she got up, left and headed for Gryffindor Tower, she hoped he’d be alright.
