Ellen smiled and gladly took Victoria's hand and stood up, careful not to put all her weight on the other girl. Her smile grew when Victoria mentioned bringing the pen and post-its; even though she had her own notepad, she was glad for the other's consideration. While it was strange to hear that worse had occurred in the mansion, she was glad that she hadn't been a huge problem.

"Okay. It's good to know that no one thought I was gone for good." Tabitha said. She was about to say that she was going to get her stuff, but then she heard Victoria's request. Tabitha nodded and then left the room for the kitchen. She found the pad and pen, and then she came back into the previous room.

"Ah! Thanks Tabby!"
Smiling her thanks to the tall, spunky blonde, Victoria took the items Tabitha had retrieved and turned her attention back to Ellen. The girl, thanks to a rather simple offer from the tanned mutant, was now standing in the foyer with the rest of them as opposed to laying across it. Letting go of the newest recruit's hand, Victoria quickly and gracious replaced it with the pen and paper.
"Compliments of the house," she added with a quiet shrug before returning both of her hands to folded loosely across her middle. Thoughts flying through her mind of how she could move on with her day, no offense to Ellen, she shuffled her feet slightly before casually meandering over to where Conner was.
"Any chance," she said, quietly, yet not suspiciously so. "She's got a bag or two waiting on the stoop for me to help you bring in?"
Although the younger of the two, scheming mutants found this highly unlikely, she wanted an excuse to slip away and talk to Conner, just for a second. Ever since he had included her in his plans for revenge against the Brotherhood, she had been curious as to what he had been able learn from his recent stakeout.

Conner nodded his greeting to Kevin and, upon seeing that Ellen was fine, leaned in to talk to Victoria.
"No, we met up in town. This is kind of a spontaneous visit." He said at a normal level and then. "I'll be in the kitchen, we'll discuss everything there." He added quietly. He knelt by Ellen and picked up his notebook. "You'll be okay from here on in hen." He said reassuringly and headed for the kitchen.
He rooted through the cupboards until he found all the tins he and Victoria had bought last night and pulled out an all-day breakfast. He set about cooking it, leaving the notebook on the table so it didn't get lost.

Nodding her head minutely in understanding, Victoria quickly turned her attention to Ellen and the rest of the room's patrons as Conner headed off into the kitchen. Even though the teen knew going out now had been her grande idea, she needed to put that plan on hold, just for a minute while she caught up with Conner. Waiting to later was not even an option, as there was a slight probability his information concerning the Brotherhood was time sensitive.
"I'll, be right back," said Victoria as she started to followed Conner's path almost to a 'T'. "Ellen, nice to meet you, again, perhaps Tabby here," she patting the blond on the shoulder as she went as an added emphasis. "Can help you find a dorm. As for the rest of you, grab some spare change if you have any and take a potty break. I'll be ready to go in just a minute..."
The last bit of her spiel flying out of her mouth at nearly a mile a minute, Victoria crossed the threshold into the kitchen for the second time that day, her entrance being less of a show then she would typically make. "So," she asked, getting straight to the point as she shuffled over the where Conner was. "What's new?"

Sarah shrugged and nodded. "Kay, I'll go grab my purse." She said and ran up the stairs taking them two at a time and then to her room almost plowing through the door before skidding to a hault. "Ohhh.....not a good thing Sara girl." She said shaking her head. A moment later she had her purse and was back downstairs shuffling through it making sure she had her bank card. "Hope they take out of state cards up here." She said to herself.

((Maliciousness! twisted ))
Owen felt himself nod off in the peaceful lull of the park, and he barely noticed when a pair of women with a distinctly snobbish air about them passed by on the sidewalk, their shadows almost touching the tip of his shoe. He looked at them through lazy eyes, eyes that suddenly narrowed as the remarks of one reached his ears, fairly easy, since she was making no effort to lower her voice. "Just look at that trashy little vagrant, sitting there in those filthy clothes. Clothes! Hmph! More like rags, if you ask me! Honestly, what kind of place is this becoming, where a lady can't even walk into a park without some mucky little vagabond hanging about making a body nervous? I've half a mind to call a policeman and see that that child gets off the street and into a children's home; probably makes his living by thievery anyhow; they'd surely find out! As though those brats from the school weren't bad enough..." Her voice quieted, but only because she was walking further away and Owen couldn't hear her anymore. But his breathing was ragged, and he was shaking with anger. He suddenly saw a wasp pass by his face and settle down onto his pant leg. A rather mean-spirited idea struck him, and he carefully scooped it up. It buzzed angrily, but stopped as Owen lowered his head and spoke to it softly. After a minute, he released it, and watched it wing it's way in the direction the two ladies had gone. Two minutes later there was an earsplitting shriek that scattered the birds and made everyone in the park pause. Owen settled back down, supressing a smile. Old Miss High-and-Mighty may have better clothes, but I'd like to see that help her when her nose resembles a cherry tomato.

Markus polished off his breakfast and downed the rest of his coffee. "Oh that's much better." He said getting up as he crumpled the bag that his food came in. He made a three point throw to the garbage and bounced it in off the rim. He rinsed out his coffee mug and set that aside for a possible second cup later on. "I'll be in the parlor if anyone needs me." He said walking into the parlor and flipping on the TV to check out the news of the day.

Jillann woke up to a alarm clock that had been going of for some time seeing it was the bottom of the hour and the smell of coffee, it made her think of the Folgers commercial were every one woke up when someone made the coffee. She made her way out of bed and ended up falling making a loud thud. Well if anybody else was still asleep they weren't now. She untangled herself from the cover and searched her room for the cleanest pair of pants, she needed to do laundry. It came down to one with a stain of god knows what, it seemed to resemble a nacho cheese stain and one that was rather beaten up and wrinkly. She chose the beaten up one so at least it looked like it could be clean she decided to stick in he black pajama top it looked like a normal top. She stumbled down stairs missing a step and slid the rest of the way on her butt. 'Ow......' Jillann said sleepily, and stood up and dusted her butt off. "I need caffeine......" She stumbled over to the coffee pot that luckily was fresh and made her self a cup with lots of cream and suger. "What’s to eat?" she asked once she had drank half of the cup.

Conner sat down at the kitchen table with his, now cooked, breakfast in one hand. He placed the plate on the table and flicked the first page of the note book over.
"First of all; that's a rough sketch of the B'hood house exterior. All the locks, both doors and windows are recent makes so I'd need time and practice to pick 'em." He took a mouthful of his breakfast and wolfed it down quickly. "I've written down where I think everyone in the house is staying. Not an easy thing to do when I only really know two of them. "Secondly; I think a few more nights of surveillance are going to be needed and, if you're up for it, I could use your help there. I'm thinking of probing the house's security tonight, see what the alarms like, sensitivity of any motion activated measure, ecetera and what-have-you." He ate a bit more before continuing. "And lastly; Mystique's alive, she's back running the Brotherhood, and judging by the way one of them acted, I'd hazard a guess that they've got a new recruit too." He flipped through a couple of pages that had descriptions of all the residents of the Brotherhood and stopped a a hasty sketch. "I didn't get a really good look at her but what I did see worries me."

Resting her elbows on the kitchen table just to one side of Conner, Victoria leaned over some so that she could get a good look at Conner's notebook. Skipping straight to the point like she hoped he would, the male flipped it open to the first page where there was a neat, but rough sketch of what she recognized immediately as the Brotherhood abode. Conner's first bit of information, the part about new locks, windows and doors, was old news to her, so she let it pass without question. Everything after that, however, was as new to her as it undoubtedly was to Conner.
"Oh really?" asked Victoria, although she was hardly floored to hear that Mystique, the blue-skinned leader of the Brotherhood, was alive and kicking once again. "Just want we need, right? But anyway...I'm up for staking out the place again, tonight, if you need me. I've got nothing else on my agenda."

Lizz heard Jillian slide down the stairs long before she came into the kitchen. "Morning sleepy head." She said dryly to Jillian. "There's cereal in the cabinets...touch the Lucky Charms and die..." She said. "There's eggs in the frig and waffles in the freezer when last checked." She informed the awakening girl.

Ellen nodded, scribbling down her "nice to meet you's" onto the sticky note. While it was tempting to pass it arund with her powers, she was apprehensive of causing another scene. Since Morgan was nearest, she passed the note to him, indicating that he pass it around to the others. Using notes to communicate worked much better in one on one conversations rather than a room full of people.

Conner shovelled the last mouthful of food into his mouth and deposited the plate and utencils into the dishwasher.
"That's good, I'll meet you by the X-van at around..." He looked at his watch, he recalled waht time the sun had set then counted of the few minutes extra, then subtracted the time it would take them to mobilise"...Seven-fifty this evening, bring enough food and water to keep you comfortable and some old clothes in greys and/or dark greens. nothing bright but nothing completely black." He stretched. "Now, If you'll excuse me, I've got a van to fix up." He really didn't feel up to fixing the van's rear off-section but he would have to, he was partly responsible for the damage. He casually saluted his goodbye to Victoria and headed straight for the garage via the back door.

Blade smiled at the quiet new girl when she wrote something on the notepad. The young woman decided to introduce herself. "Hi! I'm Blade." Blade stepped forward and held out her hand to Ellen. Having been moving around so much in the past two years, Blade knew that meeting a whole new group of people would be harrowing to some. And it looked like this girl was either extremely shy or couldn't use her voice for some reason.
