Amelie continued to stare out of the window. "That was my grandmothers lullaby. She sang it to me and Hikari when our parents were away." She shut her eyes. "Its weird. I don't know why I forgot that. It was such a distinctive lullaby." She sighed. "Of course it was originally all in Italian. But I prefer the English version."
Evelyn stood there staring at Shortstraw unbelievably. "So that's it?" She blinked a few times. "That's all you're going to do?!" She shook her head. "Let me tell you Shortstraw I know I'm not always the best judge of character but I've watched over you and Kiera for some time now. Do you know what I see? THIS. You bail out on her whenever things get too difficult! Do you know what I see with Kiera? Whenever things get hard for you I see her sticking by your side and trying the best she can to make you feel better! She blocks out all of her own troubles at that time and drops everything to help YOU. Where are you now for her when she's most vulnerable to herself?! Sitting and pitying yourself about how everything is so hard?! NO WONDER SHE LEFT." Evelyn grumbled as she raced down the stairs and out into the rain. "Jeez, if you want a job done right, do it yourself I guess." Even though there was a storm brewing Evelyn tried not to think about it as she ran down the path and into town to find Kiera before she did anything stupid.

Prophet heard them, and saw Evelyn running after Keria, the same as Prophet was doing. Prophet saw her run right next to him, and said, "You might want to appologize to him later. You know he didn't deserve that, nor do you." Prophet then sighed, and said, "Evelyn, I know what you did, but I forgave you easily. Please do the same for him, he may not be tough, but that doesn't mean he's not a warrior. Keep that in mind."

*He sat up, "but she didn't lisen to me... what else could i do? I talked to her. I tryed to tell her a reasion. I tryed to confort her. Still nothing worked. I guess i was just hoping she would turn back around... and come back..." He took a breath, "i know your right evelyn. But i dont know what to say to her anymore." He replied as he got up, "but i guess... even though things are still way over my head..." he walked down the stairs with his cloak on as he walked outside and headed into town, slower the evelyn, however that was becuse the whole time he was thinking of ways to talk to her more. It's all he had. When talking didn't work... well thats all he had in him. He wasn't tough... not right now. He couldn't prtect her right now, he hardly could think stright more or less walk stright. Still though now he felt even worse, evelyn was right. He gave up to easily...

"Evelyn, do you even know where she is?" Prophet asked her, running at the same speed to make sure she wouldn't get lost. Prophet then sniffed the air, stopped short, and followed Evelyn again. "Actually, we're going the right way for once." Prophet said, sniffing the ground. His rain covered scales shown every time he went up to sniff the air, or to sniff the ground, light from the houses showing on his wet scales. Prophet then said, "We have to go this way. If we don't find her soon, Keria's scent will be lost until morning."

Once in the town square, Evelyn skidded to a stop and looked around. "Where the hell are you Kiera..." Evelyn looked through all the windows of all the houses then saw the doctors surgery window to be broken. It wasn't like there was anyone around, a normal theif would have just broken through the door. But this person seemed to be in a rush. Evelyn jumped through the window and looked around at the cracked glass. A bit of blood here and there, but nothing major. She made her way carefully through the rooms, checking each one. "Kiera? Are you in here?" Evelyn heard a fall and crash in the end room and she ran. The storm was getting bad now, and it took everything Evelyn had to not run away at the lightning. "Kiera?" She burst through the door to see Kiera in a slump on the floor, covered with a few scratches here and there, and a few pill bottles in her hand. "Oh no you don't.." Evelyn kicked the pill bottles out of her hand to find that they were empty. "Goddamn it Kiera." Evelyn crouched down in front of Kiera and kept slapping her cheeks to keep her awake. Then Evelyn went to the side to get a big jug of water. "I thought this stuff wouldn't effect you anyway, what with all the things Veira has tampered with you." Kiera shut her eyes. "They're... Sleeping pills... Just ordinary sleeping pills..." Evelyn moved back over to Kiera and made her drink down all the water. "Right. The regular culprit." Evelyn kept making her drink to flush out the medicine. "Keep talking to me."

*Shortstraw was next to notice the window broken as he was walking by. When he went to check it out he saw blood and broke into a panic run. "KERIA!!!" He yelled as he ran, his vioce echoing in the halls, "KERIA ARE YOU IN HERE! ARE YOU ALRIGHT!!!" He then finally found the room the evelyn and keria were in and ran up to them, "Keria..." He noticed the bottles, "o god what did you do!" He looked down and picked on up. "Over doses arn't good..." he gulped and looked to evelyn knowing what she was doing. He sat down beside keria and hugged her, no words, just a hug. Fully and warm. "i love you keria."

Prophet jumped through the window, and saw all of them. He noticed the bottles on the floor, making his pupils turn into slits. Prophet then looked around, and said, "I've got some things back at the castle to help her out. Hurry up." Prophet then lied down, and said, "You can put her on my back, and I'll carry her to the castle. I'm faster than you guys, and I can help her out, I've got medical knowledge aswell."

Lightning cracked just outside the window as Evelyn looked to Shortstraw. "Thank you." Evelyn then got up to get more water and poured it down Kiera's throat. "She'll be fine if she doesn't fall asleep. If she falls asleep her system will shut down." Evelyn shut her eyes for a moment when she was done with the next jug. "Kiera, I'm sorry I said all those things. I never got the chance to tell you that its not hard to be someone different. All you have to do is want it." Evelyn stood up and got another jug. "Stop it.. I don't want any more water.." Evelyn smiled a little as she crouched in front of them both again. "This is just getting the effects of the overdose over quicker. You'll probably get some really bad stomach aches, though." She looked around. "Lucky you came to a doctors surgery." Evelyn stood up again and started looking through the cupboards. "Now if I could just find some..." Kiera found herself settling nicely into Shortstraw. However Evelyn looked back. "Don't let her get too comfortable now." Evelyn pulled out a bottle of medicine and smiled. "Aha!" She pulled open a drawer and grabbed a needle. "Now if I remember how to do this.." Evelyn carefully put the medicine in the needle and crouched in front on Kiera again. "You may feel a slight pinch." Kiera however was too out of it to care when Evelyn injected it into her arm. "This should speed the recovery up."

Prophet watched as they attempted to help Keria out. Prophet sighed, feeling a bit homesick after all these months away from his family and friends. "Will you hurry up, the storms getting worst." Prophet said, looking outside. Prophet turned into a lightning dragon and held his hand up, making the rain and wind not blast into the building. Prophet then said, "You guys owe me for this."

*Shortstraw jumped, "oh! No sleeping!" He gave her light little slapps on her face, obviously really freaking out now finally, "ummmm ummmm" he then lightly pulled that one hair continiously, "this should keep her awake!" He replied as he kept tugging it. He looked to Evelyn, "she is going to okay right!" He kept tugging, "keria... she's right... thats exacly what i was trying to tell you! Please... just stay awake!" Yes he was now panicking, and it would be worse if not for evelyn being there. He then looked to evelyn, "later you can slap me really hard. One free one." He smiled trying not to tear up again as he went back to panicking.

Prophet then slapped him with his tail, and said, "She's not going to die, just help her out and stop panicing." Prophet then poked Keria's head with his tail countinously to make sure she wouldn't sleep. Prophet's tail had a tiny spikes on it used to fight and...Attract mates. Prophet kept on poking her, making sure not to hurt her, and kept his concentration on the rain and wind keeping away from the building.

Evelyn put her hand on Shortstraws arm. "She'll be all right, Shortstraw. Calm down a little, okay? You're scaring me even." Evelyn smiled and looked back to Kiera. "Still awake?" Kiera opened her eyes lazily, pupils dilated. "Unfortunately..." Evelyn smiled to her. "Nice to see some optimism." She commented sarcastically. Evelyn then stood up and went to wash her hands. "We should take her back to the castle. Hell, the rain on the way would even do good to keep her awake. And then maybe we could have some help to keep her awake." Evelyn turned back to them both. Kiera put her head on Shortstraws shoulder. Which was about the most she could do at the moment while her body was limp. "I don't want to go back there..." Another crack of lightning made Evelyn painfully aware of how thin the walls were here. "Yeah well... Tough nuts. You don't get the choice. We're going back."

"If you want, you can go out there and make the rain hit her more than you guys." Prophet said with a sly grin. "It'd be my treat." Prophet said, looking at Keria with concern in his eyes. Prophet then put his hand down, and a bunch of wind and rain went through the window. "If it starts to flood on the way there, I'll turn into my adult Zilla mode, so you can hop onto my back and have a free ride back to the castle. It helps to be a five story tall lizard that'ss two hudred...maybe even three hundred feet in length." Prophet then turned into the Zilla hatchling, standing taller then them. Prophet sniffed the air, and said, "We better hurry, the storm's getting worse."

*Shortstraw nodded as she stood up, "I'll take my two girls home then. At least that is something i can do. Evelyn..." He held open his coat, "Get in." If she got in, he would then pick keria up in the most uncomfortable way possable and trailed outside toword the castle. "Good thing the shop owner is not around... we can blame the damiges on the war." He chukkled as another flash went off in the sky as he looked to evelyn, "almost in the castle."

Evelyn popped her head out of the coat and saw Dante at the door of the castle. Though the flashes of lightning she swore she almost saw Hikari standing there instead. Kiiro soon came up to his side as Dante shouted over to them. "Are you guys all right?! What happened?!" As they soon were up to the castle Dante quickly ushered them inside and shut the storm out. He looked wearily at his sister. "What's wrong with her.." "Dante can you go and get some blankets please?" Evelyn said as she hopped out of Shortstraw's coat and shook off her fur before changing into her human form again. She put a hand on Kiera's forehead. "She's actually cold for once." Dante nodded as he rushed upstairs to get some blankets. Evelyn then lead them into the living room and put on a fire. "Onee-chan, what happened?" Kiiro stood in the doorway. Meanwhile Amelie just turned around and watched them all.
