@Solo: I love the repositioning! I'm not sure if it's anatomically correct, but then again I've never done a pose like that before.
@Jenru: Half an hour is way too long to make one of these buggers! Lol, I'm not sure what I could say. I like it, I think if I comment on it it would be things that are more my style than yers.

Not necessarily, wed. I spend days on and off working on edits.. I'm a perfectionist tho... I usually stop working on an edit when I'm sick of tweaking tiny parts of it.

Jen: Invest some time into sharpening the definition between shapes and objects. working in tiny details such as wrinkles and texture can really make an edit stand out. Also try to reduce the fluffy edges, note how Gaia avatars always have a very sharp edge around them.

Wow... I must be a very quick editor. I mean, I knock off my most complicated in an hour or three... like Al, for instance. Al's the one mech I've edited. Not sure how long it took me to do him, but it sure as hell wasn't days.

Eh, I probably take about the same amount of time as Vorty, all told, but I just get so lost in editing that I do it all in one sitting, so it goes faster.

I'm with Vorty in the amount of time it takes, me, I guess... Mostly because I do it all zoomed in to 1600%, and every single pixel has to be right. But then sometimes I get lazy and just call it quits even after there are still a few things I'd like to improve on.

Madame Solo: I like the repositioning. But maybe the left boot needs to be scooched in a tiny bit?

Whoa. I usually go at about 500% magnification... 800 at the most, for really detailed pixel work...

I go to the max, just so I can see what Im doing

Am I the only one who finds editing more difficult at really-high magnification...? I always get stuff wrong when I zoom all the way in. Like, lines wind up going the wrong way, and stuff. I like to be able to see more of the edit at once.

jenru, maybe you can make it look not blurry a bit sweatdrop that sounded bad

wed-. gonk it usually take 3-5 hours for any edit i put serious effort into crying ...maybe i'm in the wrong business.

vorty- ok i'll see if i can sharpen a few edges... but i like the fluffy shading style sweatdrop (if anyone asks i'll deny it!!) ... i'm kinda bad at detail... if you ever see my drawings... very simple. but i'll see what i can do

lucca - crying i'm definately in the wrong business... i think i'll go back to comics sweatdrop

dove- i only go that far in when i'm shading... and only if i'm doing pixel by pixel techniche

sharp-... i think all my edits come out blurry...(this one especially...) but i'll see what i can do to fix it...
(i usually put more time into gift edit than contest edits... cuz i never enter expecting to win... just more eye candy for people...) too bad it's filled with sour grapes xd
but gift art is more fun... and with less restrictions.

Trust me, Jenru - you're not! I believe I have a theory as to why I'm so fast: All my life, I have been somewhat impatient. This means I would actively TRY to get edits done as quickly as I could. I am constantly looking for new editing time savers: chainmail, for instance, makes use of the Noise filter, and I don't know how many times I've used Gradient Map. Oh, and I've taken to grouping my layers in sets, so I can find the right layer easily! And since I've been editing for more than three years, I've just had a lot of practice for the actual quick-draing part.

Some edits, though, like Gambinondorf, did indeed take me FOREVER. And I could have underestimated the time anyway. I have a terrible inner clock.

i've used filter for the first time on the gaara animation...woo hoo!!
but most of my time is spent in the repositioning... i've come to accept that my edits will aways look like a different style than gaia's though... i just can't mimic style in pixels... sweatdrop
(i've been editing since may biggrin first time on gaia that i feel young)
