Jett had lulled himself in a sense of calm as the ship made it's way to a whole new world. He talked to his Pokemon, he planned out a few more combos, but mostly he was ready to move forward. He never wanted to stand still.

There was a soft announcement that they would dock in Olivine City soon, and Jett strolled outside. He was welcomed with the crisp night air and the promises of city lights and the constantly rotating beacon of the lighthouse. The trainer felt an unexplainable excitement of seeing such a city at night. A seemingly precarious smile found itself upon his pallid lips, and the male zipped up his jacket. It seemed colder here.

"I don't feel like sleeping," he whispered to no one in particular. Jett slipped back into his room, recalled his Pokemon, and got everything ready. He checked his money over, checked his plans, and hoped that there would be a train leaving for Goldenrod soon.

Dawn seemed to be a promise that would soon be well-kept, which left the boy confused because it was only the afternoon when he left. Did he switch over time-zones? It must be so. He really liked the night...

"It's time," Jett muttered once more to himself. The city neared, and the trainer prepared himself for the journey he was about to embark upon.

“Alright then let’s do this! Let’s go Hurricane and Vlad!” Eraku said as he released his Pokémon. Hurricane immediately took to the air and hovered above the ground while Vlad flexed his bladed arms in anticipation of the fight. He looked over and noticed that the two punks had let out a machop and a beedrill. “Hmm, that could be trouble…better take out the fighter firsts.” He thought as he sized up his two opponents. “Alright rush the machop you guys. Use your quick attacks!” Before the punks could get a grasp at what they were facing both Hurrcane and Vlad had closed the distance between them were right in front of the machop. The well built machop managed to block Vlads first swipe at it but at the cost of being rammed hard by Hurricane who had come in from above. The machop staggered back but regained his footing.
]One of the boys yelled out at the beedrill “Break them up beedrill use your fury attack on the scyther!” The beedrill responded immediately and zoomd over to stabbed Vlad while he was busy with the machop.

Some time and a bit of idle chitchat later, the bike owner had helped Jasper pick out a new bicycle, and now the youth was lazily pedaling down the street, quite enjoying the feeling of the wind in his hair. It had been quite some time since the last time he'd ridden, and he was glad to find that it wasn't a skill that was easily forgotten. Ditto was awake now as well, and the blue blob of a Pokemon was perched somewhat precariously on the handlebars, seemingly enjoying the ride as much as Jasper was.

The duo was busily contemplating their next move, which more or less consisted of the best way to get to New Bark Town from here. Jasper knew of the route formally blocked by a troublesome Sudowoodo, but it had disappeared some time ago; Jasper assume it had either gotten bored of blocking peoples' paths and went off to annoy someone else, or it had been captured by a passing trainer that had grown weary of its antics. Then again, they could always take the scenic route through the Ilex Forest to the south, but Jasper knew that would be taking the long, long way around.

Jasper and Ditto had been heading south as it is, and before long they'd passed through the city limits and into Route 34. The duo had definitely been in this area before, as it was a little ways past the Daycare Center where Jasper had 'met' Ditto. Ditto seemed to be remembering that day so long ago as well and it glanced up at Jasper, wearing a goofy grin. "Yeah, I haven't forgotten," Jasper reassured it, and Ditto gave a happy chirp. Their dawdling down memory lane was suddenly interrupted by shouting, and both Jasper and Ditto looked up to see a young boy and a young girl engaged in what appeared to be a Pokemon battle. The girl was commanding a small, reddish Pokemon with long, green leaves poking out of its head, and the boy a white Pokemon with gangly limbs and a long tail. Intrigued, the duo crept a little closer.

"Hoppip, give 'em your Tackle!" the girl was shouting.

"You can dodge that easily, Mankey!" countered the boy, who was correct. His Mankey danced from foot to foot before springing to the side, avoiding the oncoming attack from the tiny floating Grass-type. The Mankey preened at having dodged so well and waved its long tail around in a condescending manner. "C'mon Gina, is that the best you can do?" the boy called dauntingly.

"Shut up, Ian," Gina retorted. "You may have beat us last time but we've been doing some serious training!" Jasper exchanged another glance with Ditto as the two skidded to a stop, both quite interested in the battle before them.

Keegan had only just started to log out of the computer after Eithne's Great Ball was successfully transported back to his parents' ranch when he heard Kasiya's distraught voice ring out. He jumped to his feet and rushed to her side, glancing from the girl to the television screen a few times before he was able to register what was going on. "Oh god..." he murmured, a sickly feeling quickly filling his own stomach. He had no idea what to do or say, and all he could do was kneel down and wrap his arms around her shoulders. He could feel her shaking as he looked back at the screen, taking in the full story. He and Jaeshan had never been the greatest of friends but there was a degree of mutual respect between them. After all, he'd gone out of his way to give Jaeshan that Torchic egg and it hadn't been a wasted effort. Keegan frowned, wondering what had become of all of Jae's Pokemon as well. Even still, he knew they couldn't stay here, as they had a busy day ahead of them tomorrow.

"Kassie, I don't mean to be disrespectful but we've got to get back. It's late and we need our rest for tomorrow." He pulled away from the girl and tried to look her in the eye. "I know it's a horrible and awful thing that's happened, but there's nothing we can do about it now. The others need us." He was surprised that his tone of voice didn't betray his feelings, as though he sounded calm and certain, he was in fact quite the opposite. Jaeshan had never been his favourite person in the world - in fact he saw the blonde boy as more of a rival than a friend - but he'd never wanted anything like this to happen to him.

Mori's ears twitched slightly as she absorbed Star's words, though before she could fully react Sparkle had positioned herself beside the young Ponyta and had patted her gently on the head. Mori decided it best to back off, even though the Marshtomp's words stung a bit. Miharu snapped her PokeDex shut, oblivious to the banter going on between the Pokemon, as Sam had finally made an appearance. "Hmm? Trouble? No, she's been good," Miharu said, glancing own at the Pokemon in question. She frowned a bit when she saw the wicked gleam in Star's eyes, suddenly filled with the urge to teach the self-centered Pokemon a lesson, but she calmed herself and smoothed out her dress, deciding she would only act if Star actually attacked Mori or Sparkle. "So, what are your plans for today?" she asked Sam while still keeping an eye on the Marshtomp.

Eris' ears twitched as a tingly feeling coursed through her body, and she watched curiosity as Kokoro's golden aura reached out and snatched Crenu's cigarette. 'Ooh, impressive,' Eris giggled before looking up at the poor, embarrassed Claire, and she nodded. 'But you should listen to your trainer, and not take things that don't belong to you.' She began to concentrate and quickly her own bluish aura appeared, and with little effort she returned the stinky smoke stick back to Crenu.

Riza, meanwhile, had walked right up to the front desk and handed the poke ball belonging to Crenu to the nurse, who seemed surprised to see the girl back so soon. Riza couldn't help but notice the irritated look on the nurse's face, though before she could inquire, the nurse had turned her gaze on the raven haired girl. "You wouldn't happen to know who trashed their room last night, would you?" she asked, glaring at the girl as the poke ball was set in the machine.

Riza pretended to be surprised. "Trashed? What do you mean?" she asked.

"Someone smashed the mirror in one of the rooms last night, and they must have cut themselves too, because there was blood everywhere. It was quite difficult to clean up." She pressed a few buttons on the machine, making sure the settings were correct.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know anything about it," Riza said, shrugging her shoulders apologetically. "I hope you find whoever did it though, so they can pay for the damages," she added, trying to imagine Crenu forking over the cash to pay for a replacement mirror. She couldn't see it happening, not ever.

"Ecruteak." Crenu answered simply, eyes shifting to Clair while his head remained still. The curiosity of others was natural and Crenu couldn't fault her for it, but the uncomfortable silence people seemed to dread was where he liked to be. Taking another puff from his cigarette his eyes slowly shifted from the blond girl to the auburn haired male. Again with the smoking crap? Did the whole world assume that he didn't know the health risks involved with smoking? Was it written somewhere on his face that he thought smoking was like taking vitamins? His annoyance with getting told this by yet another complete stranger was only visible by a small twitch of his right eyebrow which came and went in the blink of an eye. "I don't mean to be rude either, but your opinion of my smoking, or of anything really, means about as much to me as the mud on the bottom of my shoes." Getting ready to take another puff from his cigarette with his eyes still fixed on this Mag character he was suddenly interrupted by Clair's Quilava. Using what looked to be extrasensory she managed to steal his cigarette which only added to his growing annoyance. Was it too much to ask to be able to smoke in peace? This was the very reason why Crenu hated meeting new people, it was just one troublesome thing after another and he honestly didn't have the patience to deal with it all. Reluctantly Crenu took out one of his last cigarettes and prepared to light it, his pack was running dangerously low and he would need to get some more soon. But before he got a chance to do so Eris used her own powers to return his stolen smoke, so he pocketed his new cigarette and kept smoking the old one giving the small fire type a quick nod of appreciation. Taking in the deep drag he was denied moments ago Crenu's eyes shifted back to Clair's, only this time his gaze had changed from the calm neutral look it had before to the piercing glare of a hunter staring down it's prey. "If your pokemon tries that again, I will bury the both of you." Though he didn't say it, his glance shot from Clair to Mag to let him know the warning was extended to him as well. Maybe it was his imagination, but his smoke tasted a little funny now and he could only assume that it was the extrasensory.

Carlos kept mostly to himself after their last exchange of words, mostly because Train looked like she was lost in thought. Hopefully he hadn't upset her with his talk of sudden departures and ephemeral friendships. But it was the truth, seldom did travelers like themselves make actual friendships that lasted after parting ways with a person. For the most part one got by on making acquaintances to help one stave off loneliness for short periods of time while they got from point A to point B and parted before heading to point C and beyond. With all the different goals and ambitions everyone had it was highly unlikely you could find someone who you'd be traveling with for long. Still, that didn't mean friendships couldn't form and that he'd forget about Train completely, the world was a lot smaller than it looked and they may meet again in the future. But that was talk for later, for now they were traveling together to Johto and had little more to think about than that. After what seemed like ages Train finally spoke, asking how close the exit to the cave was. Carlos had to think about it for a moment, he wasn't all that sure himself really. Looking around curiously he took notice of the formation of the cave. "Hmm, well if you'll notice it's not as dark as it was before. And the cave is getting wider, the ceiling is much higher here than it was back there so I'd say it's opening up into the exit. We should be getting out soon." And true to his prediction, only a few minuets and a a sharp turn or two later did the light from outside flood in from the mouth of the cave. "Maravioso. Shame we have to leave so soon. They say there are fossils to be found near this Cerulean exit of Mt. Moon. Find one and there are places you can get it revived back into a pokemon!"

Star winked at the Ampharos.

"Ah, thank you Sparkle. Calming down the little hot head. Really now, keep more control of your temper. You will never get far if you throw diva tantrums." Star chuckled.

Sam saw that Star was being annoying beyond belief, but it seemed that it was just banter. Sparkle and Mori were handling it, so Sam refrained from recalling the Marshtomp. She needed more social interaction anyways.

"Ah, no plans really. Don't have much in mind. What about you?" Sam was loathe to part with Miharu so soon, so she put could easily put off her plans to battle Falkner. Besides, traveling with Miharu, she was sure to get much more experienced and her Pokemon much more powerful.

Train looked around and noticed very happily that the lightning had in fact increased. They'd been in the mountain for quite some time now so she was feeling better about being in there, but that didn't mean she was still craving to get out.

"Yeah, shame," She mumbled in response to Carlos, but the mention of reviving fossils did peak her interest. "Really?" She asked him disbelievingly, though either way she practically ran out of the cave. The sun was beginning to set, but it was still better than being stuck inside of that huge, creepy, dark tunnel.

The teenager stretched once she was a few yards away from the exit/entrance of Mount Moon, before setting herself down on a rather large rock near the side of the path and stretching again, this time also letting out a big yawn. Her legs were a bit sore from all of the walking they'd done, not to mention having to climb over a bunch of rocks and whatnot. She let her eyelids droop as she watched Carlos and Maz.
"Wanna take a break really quick?" She asked, hoping that at least one of them was as tired as she was.

Kasiya had been able to hold back the majority of her tears until she felt Keegan's arms around, her, and then the floodgates opened wide. She began to sob uncontrollably as she clung to the redhead, barely able to hear the words he was saying to her. She tried to say something in return, but it was completely lost in her sobbing. The other two trainers in the room had since left in order to give the grieving girl some space, and even the nurse was fidgeting at the counter, unsure of what to do.

Still clinging to Keegan, Kasiya attempted to stand, but her legs felt like jelly and wouldn't cooperate. She'd managed to get her crying under control, but her head was pounding as her mind tried to convince her that what she'd seen on the television wasn't true. It seemed so random, and tragic and after having just learned that Sabrina was alive, she couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that another of her friends was gone. "Jaeshan..." she whimpered into the redhead's shoulder. "It can't be true... it can't be true..." She'd known Jaeshan since near the start of her journey and she considered him to be one of her closest friends. Though she tried not to, all she could see was him surrounded by dark, cold, murky waters, sinking down deeper and deeper. Her head was swimming an she felt a wave of dizziness and nausea sweep over her, and she held even tighter to Keegan as though he were the only thing keeping her grounded.

"King's Rock?" Jake repeated, then laughed out loud. "Sorry, I forgot," he added sardonically, but continued to laugh at his own inside joke and at the same time missing the comment about the shopkeeper. "At least you found what you were looking for though, right?" He leaned back and looked up at the sky, watching the few clouds above their heads drifting by. A part of him was very eager to head over to the gym and challenge this Roark fellow, but the other part of him couldn't help but feel it was a waste of time, like he should be concentrating more on regaining his memories than anything else.

Robin's request snapped him out of his little daze and he looked at the girl quizzically. "A battle?" he repeated, a little unsure of how to answer. He knew it would be good for both Turtwig and Bidoof, but the two of them were still relatively young and inexperienced and he wasn't sure how well they'd stand up to Robin's Monferno. "Well, I suppose we could give it a try," he said, giving a light shrug. The only thing he had to do now was decide which of his Pokemon needed more practice.

Well someone must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. This Crenu fellow seemed to be pretty standoffish and not too interested in anything but himself. “No need to bite our heads off over it, I mean it was a simple prank and nothing was damaged.” Mag responded, trying to diffuse the rising tension in the air. “We’re only trying to look out for your health, not that we were looking down on you or thought you were ignorant of the risks. Judging from your hands, you’ve had it rough enough as it is. Sorry if we touched a sore spot.”

”W-well.” Claire muttered. “I’m from Ecruteak as well. Where did you live? It’s not the biggest town.” Claire added, only now realizing her memory was coming to her much easier than the day before. Perhaps whatever the scientists had done in their last session had helped, at least for her more distant memories as images from the girl's childhood, playing outside in the shade of a tall tower, flooded her mind.

The blonde was again reminded of her circumstances… but all that was supposed to be changing pretty soon--as soon as the team made their way to this Memory Institute of some sort that lay only a few miles from the city they currently resided in.

’Wow!’ Kokoro smiled. ’So you can use Extrasensory, too. I suppose that is what I sensed right before I came outside.’

Crenu cocked his eyebrow at Mag, taking one final puff from his cigarette before snuffing it out on his bandages again, the faint smell of the cloth and adhesive burning starting to linger as he tossed it away randomly. The pain that radiated from both his hands was starting to get more manageable, but that might have just been him getting use to it's constant presence. "I don't have any sore spots, nor do I care for pranks simple or otherwise. You two look old enough to have outgrown such trivial behaviors, though I suppose that doesn't necessarily extend to a young pokemon testing out it's abilities. And by the looks of it, the two Quilava are just showing off to each other." He said, the fierceness in his eyes dimming to its usual slightly annoyed glare. "I may not be very nice, but I'm not uncivil either. I don't like being bothered and I don't like being lectured. You've been warned, it's as simple as that." Having had his fill of nicotine and the various other chemicals that come in the little death sticks he'd grown fond of, Crenu took a deep non smoke filled breath and let it go slowly as he crossed his arms. Eyes closed and head down, Crenu almost appeared to be leaning against a wall as he stood there waiting for Riza to come out of the center. Without looking up he directed his words to Clair. "Doesn't matter where I lived, it's no longer relevant to me nor anyone. If I ever saw you before I left then you didn't make an impression, I kept mostly to myself anyway. I don't know what Ecruteak means to you, but it's a town I've made a point to forget."

"Really." Carlos answered plainly as Train ran out of the cave full of youthful enthusiasm. Not quite in as big a rush as she apparently was, Carlos lowered his sombrero over his eyes a bit to block the bright light that was hit them directly as they exited the cave. After such prolonged exposure to the dim light of the cave the light was sure to be blinding, and it was a pretty sunny day to begin with. Taking his time to catch up to Train. "Que bien, that sounds like a great idea." Carlos walked past Train to the nearest tree, leaning his guitar against it as he took a seat on the ground. "Well you see, Pokemon fossils still contain trace amounts of pokemon DNA in them. The exact science is unknown to me, but through what must have been hours upon hours of research and development scientist have found a way to revive fossils into living breathing pokemon. Why in the Sinnoh Region there's even a gym leader who uses revived pokemon in his battles. It's been a while since I was last there but I beleive he had a son who also showed an interest in these fossil pokemon. Of course I'm not sure how accessible the means of reviving pokemon are to the general public, I'm sure it's not easy finding a suitable fossil and then getting someone to bring it back for you. Just something I thought was interesting."

"All right then!" Robin cheered as Jake agreed to battle her. Black*Star only cast one upset look at Robin before deciding that they were only having this battle so that the stupid fire monkey could catch up to how good he was. With that thought in mind the Totodile continued to enjoy his water bottle. Practically prancing over to the other side of the battle field Robin waved enthusiastically when she got over there. "I hope you are all set! Just because your my friend doesn't mean I will go easy on you! You have to be tough enough to take on a real gym leader." Not that Robin was a real gym leader, she was just going to pretend.

Reaching for Ace's pokeball the redhead unclipped it before tossing it out to reveal the pretty laid back Monferno. The Playful pokemon just looked around with mild interest before glancing back to Robin. He was going to fight the blond over there? Weren't they on the same side last time?

"It's a practice battle Ace. We are helping Jake get ready for his gym battle against Roark. You remember that don't you?"

Did he remember that gym battle? Of course he did! He had barely been with the girl when she decided that a gym battle was a perfect time to use him! It had been a humiliating defeat for him. Maybe if he had evolved before then he could have done at least a little damage against that Aerodactyl. Snorting, steam flowing out from his nose in annoyance Ace shifted his position. If he ever saw that gym leader again he would make sure he got a rematch.

From Ace's reaction Robin figured out to late that the Monferno was still feeling a bit sore on that subject. Then again he did get beaten pretty bad, and she had just got him to. Ok so maybe that hadn't been her finest hour. "Ah anyway! Let's battle all right? Ace and I aren't gunna go down with out a fight!" Robin hoped that sounded like something cool Roark or Misty would say. Those were the only two leaders she had ever met.

Keegan eyed the two trainers as they took their leave, slightly envious of their ability to escape the situation. He'd never been very good at dealing with Kasiya when she was upset and crying, especially since he was usually the cause. He shifted as the girl tried to stand, but failed miserably, and he couldn't even manage to make out the garbled words she was trying to say. "It's all right, I've got you," he said gently, though his own voice was somewhat strangled due to the fact that she was holding onto him so tightly. "Come on, let's get out of here." Though he knew he would regret this later, he carefully lifted Kasiya off the ground and cradled her in his arms, already feeling his aching ribs throbbing angrily in protest. Without glancing back at the nurse he carried the girl out of the center, waiting only for an impatient second as the doors whooshed open.

Luckily the Big Riddle Inn was visible high upon a hill so Keegan would have no trouble finding his way back. His pace slowed only a few times as he shifted the girl's weight in his arms, and suddenly he longed for another strong dose of painkillers and a soft bed to lie in. After what seemed like hours he arrived back at the hotel, and with some difficulty managed to get through the front doors though he quickly realized he didn't know which room the girls had been given. "Hey Kassie," he whispered, not wanting to startle the girl, "which room are you girls in?"

Hot head? Mori wasn't quite sure what the Marshtomp had meant by that statement; she didn't really have much of a temper at all, she simply didn't feel like standing there and being insulted. Sparkle, meanwhile, said nothing in return to the rather rude little Mud Fish and continued to stand between her and Mori, silently wishing her trainer would do something. Miharu noticed the slightly irked look on the Ampharos' face, and glanced at Star, figuring the Marshtomp was feeling pretty good about herself since her win over Bugsy yesterday, but she still did nothing.

"I have no immediate plans," Miharu answered quietly, her gaze flickering back to Sam. "I intend to continue training in preparation for my next gym match, but other than that, and some shopping, I have nothing pressing to do."

The nurse just huffed and waited impatiently next to the machine, taking the single poke ball and handing it back to Riza once the treatment was finished. "Thanks," the raven haired girl said, clutching the red and white sphere tightly before she turned on a heel and practically ran out of the center. 'Crenu sure picked the wrong nurse to piss off,' she thought as she stepped back outside, not at all surprised to see the trio of Crenu, Moti and Claire still standing where she'd left them, though the tension in the air was noticeably thicker. 'I hope he's been playing nice,' she thought, directing a glance in Shiro's direction.

"Here," she said once she'd rejoined them, and she gently placed the poke ball in Shiro's bandaged hand. "And yes, the nurse is looking for you, so I suggest you avoid this center like the plague for a little while."

Eris looked up expectantly at her trainer as she arrived back on the scene, and she looked over her shoulder at Kokoro but decided against saying anything else. The Quilava nuzzled Riza's leg happily and the girl quickly obliged and scooped up the fire-type in her arms, much to Eris' delight.

Olivine City was dazzling underneath the moon's full gaze, but the city life seemed to be nonexistant at this apparently ridiculous hour. Our protagonist of this seemingly trivial tale found himself looking around curiously for the train station.

In truth, it wasn't that hard to find, but he felt the need to stay on some solid land for a bit longer than necessary. Jett was getting rather tired, but he had to get to Goldenrod before he went to sleep!

"Kid," a sailor grunted as he passed the trainer, eliciting a silent pause. "What're you doin' up...?" They slowly turned to face each other, Jett's uninterested eyes meeting the lackluster blue of the sailor's.

Jett could imagine an exclamation point materializing over one of their heads.

"Two Pokemon," he sighed, taking notice of the sailor's wide grin. "Let's make this quick. You have a map on you, right?"

"O' course," the sailor boomed as he brought out his first Pokeball.

"If I win, I want it."

"Deal!" Without further adeu, the sailor released this humanoid looking thing with a hypnotizing belly. At least, that's how Jett saw it. To any native here, it was easily recognized as a Poliwhirl.

"Stun Spore," Jett called as he released Aerosmith into the air. The Beautifly rushed forward without warning, eager to get to work. A fine yellow dust sprinkled onto the Poliwhirl, which let out a shocked cry and paused in a ridiculous pose. "Sorry. Mind if I have the first move?"

"First move won't help you," Sailor Guy grunted harshly, aiming a sausage digit at the equally foreign butterfly angrily chattering at him. "Water Gun!" Finally free of his pose, Poliwhirl stuck to orders and fired off a fierce jet of water right at Aerosmith. The Butterfly Pokemon was not amused.

"Fly, fly!" he growled, trying to flap his wings to be free of the water. Jett instantly commanded for an Absorb, so that's what he would get! Aerosmith noted that the Grass-type move seemed to be super-effective against that... thing. Serves him right!
