John Talbain 01: the instrumental's all done first... vocals layer on top, and you can change things under the vocals, but vocals are on top so you have two master level channels. by mixing, i have one master channel, the whole song.
John Talbain 01: if i layer, i can render the instruments... then put that on one channel, put vocals on another. if the vocals aren't heard, turn down the instrumental.
John Talbain 01: a nice simile is... i can adjust how sweet the cake and icing is seperately.
John Talbain 01: something like that.
John Talbain 01: so... this means i'm going to have to rerecord everything i just did, lol.
