Fyrin raised an eyebrow. "Why not use the air power to support yourself and use the rock as a projectile?" he inquired. It seemed simpler, more effective. More aggressive. So perhaps Joe's way had been better after all.

"Because with the rock in place to displace air, I could cover more area and create a more effective cushion," Joe said. "And now that that's out of the way..."
He slowly began to put more and more energy into Marco, who slowly gained more coherency. Joe looked to the building.
"We need to figure out what's going on," he said to Fyrin.

"Hey, didja hear? One of the ground teams covering us let Gertrude out," one vampire commented to another. He was leaning against a wall near Agnese. He wore black fatigues with a headset integrated into a helmet.
"s**t, really?" Another asked. He was identically dressed, but with a more squarish face and had no headset. "How are they gonna get her back?"
"No idea, man. The Duke's on his way over with us and she already drained one person before she got into an office building."
"Shiiiit. She got into an office? We're never gonna recapture her without the Duke now..."

Joe set Marco down. He stood woozily, but he was rapidly improving.

Fyrin shrugged. "So you probably want the vaguely invulnerable gentleman, a.k.a. myself, to go in, get himself torn into individual bones, and report back to you with a hopping skull. Sure, why not?" He started to move towards the building. Where had all this sarcasm come from? It was terribly uncharacteristic.

Agnese hadn't known the other's very well, and she most certainly hadn't known the civillians around the airport, but she felt saddened and upset at the deaths about to take place anyways. She hadn't exactly interacted with many of the minor people in her firm either, but they were all important to herself, her family, and their families.
