Layna looked down at her friend, her face holding a worried expression. "Please, Takiko. I don't remember you being this way. What happened to her?" She asked.

As her eyes showed a great grief within them, her memories flooded her mind. She was left incapable of speach at the moment.
A younger version of Takiko walked through a hazy cemetary. As she passed tombstone after tombstone, one marking caught her eye. The freshly dug grave was beginning to grow few sprouts of flowers. No one left gifts at this particular gravel; something compelled her to read the tombstone. The writting was hard to read, luckily someone she did not know sat at the foot of the grave,
"Takiko Yuki..." The woman spoke, dressed in a beautiful, pure white dress. Her bleach blonde hair flowed to the center of her back. The woman muttered some strange words as the grave began to glow.
The memory ended as Takiko realized where she was.
"The Takiko you knew is long dead."
The words were hoarse as they were spoken, her voice barely audible.

Layna felt tears spring up to her eyes. "But...you're right here." She muttered. She didn't want to think that something had changed. She didn't want her to be any different. Why were her friends leaving. Rowaneath had died, Jeff was also. It made her bite her lip to keep the trembling from being noticed.

A phrase echoed in her mind. Something she had heard not long ago.
"'Kissed by the abyss.'"
If Layna was watching Takiko close enough, she would have seen Takiko's lips move to form the phrase.

Layna wiped the silent tears that wanted to fall, and jumped from her spot on the branch. She landed near her friend, her grey eyes bright, near white with sadness. "Somewhere, you still would be the same."

As Layna approached her, she managed to get to her feet. An imprint of her body in the grass. The moist dew that was on the grass laced her clothing and bare, pale arms. The water glistening off of her gave her a mystical, powerful look.
Takiko did not speak to Layna, merely watching her with dark eyes.

"Is it our involvements that cause you pain?" She asked quietly. She didn't speak quite the name, for she knew what the reaction would be. She felt like recoiling at how dark Takiko's eyes were. They were so deep, they didn't feel like Zarathos's, deep pools. No, these were chasms of dark.

passionate4knowledge Isabella laughed at the vampires foolishness. "Yes be proud of the thousands you have killed. Big deal, I assure you, you are not the only one. Others are just a little more refined and don't go gabbing on about it. Do you think it make's you better than anyone else here? I could kill that many in a night. But the consequences would be dire. Don't be so arrogent." she said to Samuel. She hated vampires who glorified their kills, so what, you can kill. Many others can too. "What you should take pride in is your ability to fight. If you have any." she said shaking her head disgusted. She looked over to the voidmaster. Obviously she was going through that phase, Isabella had never quite understood it. But she knew it was painfull, and it made her glad to be a deathdealer. She looked over to the tainted, devilboy. "You seem to just be getting into more and more trouble." she said a small smile on her lips. "What can I say i just love trouble."He looked over to Takiko"The humans already know about us,why else do you think there are hunters.We only need to protect where we live not our identities and you couldn't kill me him you tried."He grips his sword tightly knowing that there are many vampires here probly ready to kill him.

"You can relax." Layna muttered to the anxious Tainted. "You aren't the only one who it seems a few vampires would love to dismember."
