A shudder rippled through Takiko's body. The arm holding the gun fell to her side, clasping the gun tightly. Suddenly an image of her place this very gun, with the last bullet within it to her head. Just from the mere mention of her lost love's name. "... Yes." She hesitated to answer. The pain of memory from her thoughts of Crow... The shudder sent another numbing thought of her death through her mind. Takiko felt so numb, so depressed, she did not even realize Zarathos was near her.
[this is a reply for when she asked about the Desert Eagle]

[Wewt! I'm back.]
The arm Zarathos grabbed onto jerked away from his grasp. She held the gun in both her hands gazing at the black texture of the exterior. After a silent moment, she tucked it back away under her cloak. Without answering his question, her eyes gazed blankly at the ground. The memories were traumatic for her, as she tried to desperatly to forget the past. Even when something as simple as his name... To throw her into a cataclysmic state again, and again....

Layna rubbed his cheek softly. "It was my fault....for mentioning it." She murmured, her tone apologetic.

There was a snarl in her voice this time. Anger suddenly flooding her rapid depression. "It was neither of you." Takiko's voice had changed, it seemed more menacing than usual. It was clear something was wrong with her. Though, one could guess, she had no idea what it was. "Don't blame yourself." When she spoke again, she turned to look at them, her lip slightly raised in a snarl.

Layna jumped at the snarl. She never expected Takiko to be like this. Her eyes softened. She felt for her friend, the pain that was being dealt deep within, she knew it. It was akin to the pain she felt at the passing of her father, which she would tell no one of. "You know, Takiko. It's alright to confide in someone."

Zarathos looked up with an air of sadness about him"You act as I did that 50 some odd years ago...Please feel free to let it out...Or you may become as i am."

"It does not matter if I confide in your or not..." Takiko's voice was a whisper as she turned from them again. There was a secret neither of them could understand. Everything had such bad timings. With Crow's betrayal of disapperence. Just when she needed the elder most he seemed to disapper at well. Then the changes she could feel. As if she was completely heartless, empty... hollow...

"Please...Takiko...I know...what you are feeling." It was true. Layna felt exactly what Takiko was experiencing. When her mother had died, she took a part of Layna's heart with her, leaving a hole deep as a chasm. And now, with the death of her father, she felt the still fresh wound beginning to ease open the sealed part that Zarathos had managed to heal.

Even though Layna's words were supposed to comfort her, Takiko was angry from what she said. "You don't know! You will never understand!" Takiko knew they did not relate, she was vampiric, while Zarathos was a vampire, he was not a voidmaster. The empty feeling she felt, they could never feel anything like this.

Layna cringed away from Takiko, shuddering. She set her jaw against her fear. "I don't care what you think, Takiko. You're not the only person in the world who's lost a loved one."
