"Oh, well..."the more she thought about it, the more the Water Knight realized she didn't have much of an excuse either...Honestly, if she was out on a mission, that was one thing...and if one of them was out, she obviously couldn't get to know them any better...But she didn't have any legitimate reason to keep her distance from the others aside from over obsession with books.

She fiddled with a portion of her wet top. "Er...I don't have much of a reason not to either. At least two of us always seem to be in the castle at the same time, so by now I should know at least something about them aside from names...Honestly, I know little more about them now than I did when I arrived..."Celia admitted this rather reluctantly as she considered it rather embarrasing, but this was Ana, so she really had no need to worry about confidentiality.

"At least you were doing something instead of talking to them," Ana said with a slight sigh. "I'm just too shy." She did not seem that upset about the fact, though, and shrugged it off. "I'm not much of people-person. I like spending time with you, though," she added with a warm smile. "I'm glad we're friends." Ana could not help but say the thought again even though it was not the first time in their conversation that she had mentioned it. It seemed important somehow. "I can introduce you to Liozu, if you'd like. He's very personable."

Celia blinked. That wasn't a bad idea...Honestly, she would never have had the nerves to approach him properly on her own. "I'd like that,"She replied with a smile, "After all, I think its easier to meet people if you're with someone you already know...At least, I think it is...I don't usually meet all that many people."

Frankly, even meeting Ana had been a bit of an odd coincidence; If she hadn't been so darn tired that one day, and continued to sleep in her little nest of blankets, it was entirely possible she would have missed the Maid all together, and by now she would have one less friend...In fact, the realization came upon her that if it weren't for that one event, she wouldn't have even been having this conversation.

"Say, Ana...We should go do something fun soon. Um...what do friends do exactly?"Another thing she realized, was that she hadn't really had any friends before. The Knight had her parents, but...Well they were parents, and she was friends with them, but they weren't friends exactly...And there was Baran, but...Baran was something else. Something nice and else. So...What did friends do?

"Hm? Oh, go out for lunch or to a performance or just sit around and talk like we do." Ana smiled, feeling oddly knowledgeable for once. Although she was shy almost to a painful extreme, she had had friends before. In fact, she had been very close with a couple other girls when she was younger but she had been forced to leave them behind as they all grew up and moved away, she to the castle.

"We... we could go into town later, when I have my day off," she suggested shyly. "I don't ever do anything with it... It would be nice to spend it with you, if you're not doing something already."

Celia's face lit up for half a moment, before it died back down into mild interest. "But..."she started slowly, almost wanting to keep the idea to herself so they could have a nice day, but the Water Knight just wasn't the kind of person to do that, "...Wouldn't you rather spend it with Liozu?" Since he was in the castle, that meant he was probably not being given an entirely large amount to do at the moment;..Logically, wouldn't she want to spend time they both had off with him?

Really, the prospect of going and doing something fun outside of the castle with a friend was quite inviting to her, but Celia wasn't going to hope to go out and do something that she would enjoy, if Ana would rather be doing something else.

"Well," Ana began, "I like spending time with him, of course... but I want to be able to see you, too." She smiled shyly, vaguely aware that if Liozu had been standing next to her that she would not have been able to be as strong. She would have gone to him, alone, regardless of Celia. He was not there, however... and nobody needed to know that. "If Baran is available too, maybe the four of us can go somewhere," she added to assuage both her guilt and desire.

'Liar,' That single word camouflaged itself in the back of Celia's thoughts, lingering only for a minute as though blown away on a current of air. Really, the Knight barely had time to even notice the trace feeling that followed it as little more than a bad aftertaste in the form of a pang of guilt. However, she brushed it off in a hurry, eager to continue with the idea of going somewhere with her friend.

"That sounds like fun! Maybe we could all see a movie or something..."She tried her very best to think of something that four people could do in the area as a group, but truthfully the only things she could think of seemed a touch cliche...Movies, meals, etc...Of course, considering her limited experience with most any place in town save the book store, it was understandable that Celia wouldn't know much about what to do.

"I'll be sure to set aside time for it," Ana said enthusiastically; she was never enthusiastic about anything. Finding a close friend like Celia had really brought out the side of her that Liozu had shown her. She liked it. She did not think she wanted everyone to see it, not just yet, but she was feeling more comfortable around them at least and that was letting her shine, just a bit.

"Actually," Ana clasped Celia's hands in hers, looking up into the eyes of the slightly taller girl. "I had a favor to ask of you." This was said with just the fainted trace of nervousness, since she was fairly certain that Celia would think of her request as more of a treat than anything else. "I wanted to know if you could help me find a book. Nothing too difficult or challenging. Just for some light reading at night." Truthfully, Ana had not been sleeping as much as she was used to. It was becoming progressively harder for her to fall asleep at night. Instead she was spending her time staring up at the ceiling and thinking about Liozu, his words, his breath, the way he moved. She hoped that a book would help to lull her into dreams, or at least make the hours pass with a sense of more productivity.

At once, a look of surprise and entertainment entered Celia's eyes. Of course, this was her forte; how could she resist offering a little advice?

"What type of book are you looking for exactly?"She asked, though as usual when it came to books, the Knight couldn't wait for a proper response, "Are you thinking maybe fantasy? Or maybe a good detective story? I know a few good love stories, but some of them aren't necessarily 'light' reading....Hmm...Or are you maybe looking more into history? That can be enlightening and help you fall asleep...I don't know how many times i woke up only to find myself still in the library." Another usual response: she could hardly find time to breathe when talking about her dear written words.

"Oh!" She paused for just a moment, turning just a slight shade of pink, "Well...I do have a few...Um...Romance Novels, tucked here and there..."Said Celia, really very quietly. Truthfully, her words were little more than a whisper. Really, she only had about four of them, somewhere among the many piles of books, but she had always been rather embarrassed about reading them at all.

((Sorry! >_> I'm finally able to respond!))

"Oh? Oh!" Ana flushed a deep pink and automatically drew her hands up over her mouth. "U-um... That's... You don't need to..."

Actually, the idea was quite intriguing, but far too embarrassing to admit out loud, even to someone like Celia. Still, the lure did draw her in. She had flipped through a couple romance novellas in the past, but somehow they seemed far more appealing now that she was with Liozu. Perhaps it was because she was already imagining his body within its pages that she managed to stutter, "Something... fun, I guess, please. Not too... educational. You can... you can choose. I... I guess something romantic wouldn't be bad."

"Educa...?"She paused mid-way through the word, blinking and turning crimson as the realization hit her just what that meant. "Um...N...No, nothing...like that," In all honesty, the ones she had found were as mild as they came. For that matter, they were mostly just cheesy love stories, rather than...Education. She stood up, and went over to one pile, looking through it, then to another, and finally another. There she found what she was looking for, one of the novels almost to the bottom of the stack.

She pulled it out of the pile carefully as not to topple it, and dusted it off a bit. "Here, try this one..."She said a bit quietly as she handed it to her friend. Celia had read it twice. It was about a demon that was put under a spell by fairies...Of course, the Knight knew better than to believe the 'facts' in the story...in fact most of them were just incorrect...but she enjoyed it from a storytelling point of view.

Ana nodded, torn between wanting to push it back at her friend with embarrassment and wanting to open it before she even left the room and flip through it out of curiosity. It could not be that bad, right? Just what Celia said it was: light romance. A little bit of sap and, maybe, hopefully, not quite appropriate for children.

"Thank you," Ana finally managed, smiling with only a trace of a blush. "I'll start it tonight." She gave a little sigh, looking fondly around the disordered although now clean room. "I should get back to my other work..." She did not want to, but it was true that she had spent more than the required amount of time in the Knight's room. "I'm going to talk to Liozu about the possibility of the four of us doing something together. Do you know what good day would be for you and Baran?"

Having left her mousy little creature to the rather bad-tasting meal of the dead youkai, Empress wandered the forests. There was one more thing she was looking for, that she was rather sure could be found even here. It was a widespread plant, small and unassuming... actually, it reminded Empress a lot of Ana, in that way. But for all that it was small, with thin, needle-pointed fragile leaves, it held some amazing powers. It made anyone who slept with it by them suspectible to dream suggestion. As such, it could be used in many ways, but was useless for any actual hypnotization. It's powers weren't strong enough, especially not in these times.

"Ahh, there you are. Oh, Ana~ let me see you in your dreams," Empress hummed as she bent down, summarily tearing out the young hazel bush that was growing protectively over the pale pink-and-lavender flowers. The little flowers with their heart-shaped petals weren't larger than the fingernail on Empress' thumb, and they had no smell. That was, they had no scent until the night fell. The flowerheads were partly opened, as if too lazy to open fully during the day. They'd bloom full out in the evening, and stay that way until early morning.
"Pretty flowers, for a pretty girl," Empress said with a chuckle, gently plucking each little stem. They would make it effortless for her to get "inside" and start to show Ana the reality behind this shell. Yes. And, they would make a nice gift. Useful (for her, that was) gifts were the best sort of gifts, after all. Standing up, finally satisfied with the small bouqet of flowers in her hand, Empress turned back towards the city and the castle. Time to see a girl about a gift...

((And, that's a cool dream Baran had. XD Nice that you could use the events I cooked up without actually revealing anything!))
