Dante grinned and hugged Veira. "Smart sister!" Well at least he was trying his best to raise up the spirits. He really didn't understand why Eve didn't like Veira so much. But that was just what was great about his innocence.
Kiera walked over to him slowly. "I was afraid to tell anyone because Evelyn would have punished me and made me turn back time again. She had a way of.. possessing my body through Alice. I first started doing all this for my mother. And then when you got added into the picture I did it to create a safe world for us both to live. So I wouldn't have left you." Her hand twitched. "I would never leave you." 'The girls psycho. She's convinced herself that her and Amelie would create a perfect world with my help. Me and Kiera had the same goals, realistically. To protect you. That was all it was ever about, and Amelie took advantage of that for both of us. When Veira found her out for the second time after getting herself out of it the first Kiera saw no other way out than to blame me for all the pain. Make me look like the bad guy in all of this. She means well but cares more about her own safety than I. If Veira were to know the truth then me and her would have come crumbling down.'

*Shortstraw nodded to keria, "what if... i didnt want a perfict world. I mean my reasion to exsist is you, and to protect people. If theres nothing to protect, then... i would be just a boy standing infront of you board all the time..." he replied with a slight chukkle...
Menawhile he thought to Evelyn, 'did you make her kill hikari, or did she do that on her own? And even more so... did you hurt donte? Tell me the truth. I have to work this out...' he replied honistly. He then looked back to keria again, "youknow... the world will never be perfict, and if it ever was... you would have never met me. It's the unperfictness that makes the world spin. You know... at least thats how i look at it... what else can you tell me though?"

Kiera's eyes flashed. "I never mentioned... a perfect world.." Her eyes thinned a little as her hand twitched more. "You're talking to her... aren't you." She frowned. "Evelyn is bad, Shortstraw. I told you. She'll be filling you with lies." Kiera's eyes dulled. "You don't trust me..." Her hands now trembled. "I only want the best for you..." Kiera wasn't looking at him now but rather just straight through him. "What is my life.." 'It was a joint effort with Hikari. And no, neither of us tried to hurt Dante. That was a mistake on Alice's part. She was trying to get away from the area when she stumbled into Dante. Threatened she was going to be found out by him, she placed the curse on him too. It was a shock to both me and Kiera.' She took a pause to asses the situation. 'Oh... Kiera's getting like that. Careful... with what you say Shortstraw... She could... take your life..'

*Shortstraw nodded, "yes i am. Both of you are my life, who i am, what i am, what i do, what i fight for. All for and becuse of both of you. Now i have to sides, both with a soul thats part of me, and i'm stuck in the middle. Which... sucks. But i guess as conffused about it all as i am in the end it's going to be me that has to figure out a way to fix everything so i dont loose either of you. To tell the truth i have no idea who is or is not lieing. I hoped maybe some things would connect so i am less confussed. In the end it's always going to be the three of us. And if you two can sort things out, that means i'min the middle." He spoke to both at the same time. He was shaking though, "i am ever so confussed. I'm not sure of any of it. I'm scared." he closed his eyes and put his head down on his knees. The true shortstraw, right there. He was scared of not one of them, but rather the mess he was now in the middle of. One fulse move on either end... and it would determain what would happened next.

Kiera's fingers twitched one by one at her side as she tilted her head slightly. "She's been.. telling you interesting things.. hasn't she." Her eyes flashed again. "And now you don't know... who to believe.." Her body began radiating a soft lilac glow, and her opal eyes grew darker. "How... dare she.." 'Somehow I'm glad I'm not there. But be careful, Shortstraw. She won't listen to anything anyone says like this. Apart from you. You're the only one she cares about. She won't let anything get between you and her. Right now she thinks I'm the barrier. She thinks I'm a threat.' Kiera frowned further as the glow grew more dense. "My love... doesn't trust me.." Kiera reached her hand out. "Well.. you know what they say... two's company.." She reached closer as her eyes finally shone red. "...Three's a crowd." "NO." Evelyn, in her human form, appeared in front of Shortstraw. Blocking Kiera's access. Kiera stumbled back a little, and eyed her. Then the little girl that hid behind Evelyn's leg. "How dare.. you." Evelyn hissed. "Stay away from him, Kiera. You dare hurt him and I'll shred you." Kiera looked hurt. "Hurt him? I would never.. hurt..."

*Shortstraw shook his head and looked supprized up at both of them, "i... i dont want to... both of you... without both of you i'm nothing... please... dont fight..." He begain to cry again, "i can't trust anyone when they all fight!" He yelled as he burst into tears more, "maybe... maybe you two should stay... find someone else... i'm not.. good enough for both... am I? WHY DOES IT ALWAYS HAVE TO BE BECUSE OF ME!" He shreaked as he curled up tighter, his knees now into his chest so hard it was hurting him. He started to rock, shivering. He wasn't sure what was going on, what was happening, who was who, why they were doing what, if there were sides if he did somthing wrong...

Kiera took a few steps back as the glow faded and her eyes returned to normal. "What..." The little girl who no longer clung to Evelyn turned around to Shortstraw. With a blank expression, she smiled and touched his head. Her touch sent a small comforting pulse through him. "Please calm down, mister. It scares me when people shout. Onee-chan and I are trying to fix things, I promise. We're doing our best." Kiiro smiled again and put her petite hand on his cheek. "So don't be upset." Kiera watched all of this as she calmed a little and leaned back against the wall. "Wha-... I don't know.." Evelyn stared at Kiera harshly. Kiiro then moved past Evelyn and walked carefully over to Kiera. "You love this man, am I correct?" Kiera stared panicked at the little girl. What was this? Evelyn watched Kiiro carefully as she placed her little hand onto Kiera's stomach. "Please calm down miss. There's no need for any pain here. Your purpose in this world is protecting this man. Not to follow the same path as your mother." She smiled up at Kiera. "So don't be upset." Kiera's eyes grew drowsy, and she slowly sunk to the floor. "But.. I don't know.. mother and... Evelyn is.." Kiiro placed her hand on Kiera's cheek finally. "It's all right miss. No one will hurt you here." Kiera finally shut her eyes and slumped onto the floor. Kiiro turned back to Evelyn with her vacant eyes. "Did I do good Onee-chan?" Evelyn walked over to her and picked her up to hug her. "You did great." Evelyn turned back to Shortstraw. "I'm sorry for putting you through that, Shortstraw. I would have come sooner but I was letting this little girl get enough power so that she could calm Kiera down and settle this for a while." Evelyn looked back to Kiiro with a smile. "Kiiro is able to calm people with just her touch, as well as usual Demon abilities. It's like a compensation." She looked back to him. "I hope me and Kiera didn't stir you too much. While Kiera is asleep I'll get Kiiro working on her mind. Kiiro will settle whatever makes Kiera act as she does. And then I'll be able to talk to her about this whole thing properly."

*He looked to her confussed, "you... are going to handle... wait... no you can't go in kerias head... hold on! How do i know thats right? How do i know it's not the other way?" He looked sadly down, "i'm still confussed. Can i be there when you talk to her?" He asked finally deciding that... well he trusted evelyn with everything so far... she could be liying but even if so he couldn't do anything. At the moment he could hardly even see with all the tears still in his eyes as he wipped them out, "wait so... thats your little sister?"

Prophet walked towards Shortstraw, and said, "None of it is because of you." Prophet then patted Shortstraw's back, growling at the things he said. "Listen, I've been with you for who knows how long, and you think every bad thing is because of you, when it isn't. I've been around, maybe not as long as you have, but, I've seen alot more that would scar your mind only if you looked at it for a couple of seconds. Shortstraw, don't blame anything on yourself. If it helps, I kinda didn't tell you about Evelyn." Prophet looked at him, and said, "Earlier I said dragons have mind reading abilities, I wasn't bluffing."

Evelyn walked over to Kiera, picked her up and carefully laid her on the bed. "Yeah, my supposedly unborn little sister. This is Kiiro." Evelyn stood up properly then walked to Kiiro to guide her to Shortstraw again. "Kiiro, this is my master, Shortstraw." Kiiro smiled to him. "I know. You already told me Onee-chan. Nice to meet you mister Shortstraw!" Evelyn smiled down at her. "I never knew she existed until a few months ago." Kiiro then guided herself around the bed and put her hand on Kiera's forehead. Evelyn watched her carefully. "Kiiro won't change how Kiera thinks. She'll just calm her down a hell of a lot more than she was. Kiera was about to kill you, Shortstraw. She was about to kill you because of her overflowing jealousy." Evelyn looked back to Shortstraw. "Please believe me. I know there's been so many lies floating around recently that it's hard to know what to believe. Kiera's gone a little insane because of it." Kiiro shut her eyes as a soft blue glow shone off her hand onto Kiera's head.

*Shortstraw nodded and looked to kirro, "yes as confussing as it all is... i guess she has been really moodying latly... alot latly." He smiled lightly, "thanks Evelyn. For teh record i never doughted you... though i am alittle mad that you were hiding all this stuff from me too." He looked to Evelyn, "and for the record... thats the first time i have ever heard you refure to me as Master... I agree with donte... it feels so weird..." he chukkled and looked down to the sheet in his hand, "i think i blew my nose on this..."

Evelyn chuckled to Shortstraw. "Appreciate that I called you that. That was the only time it was going to happen." Kiiro giggled in the corner. "Onee-chan is soft for her family." Evelyn scowled. "Am not." "Are too~" Evelyn sighed. "You know I can't... disagree with you." Kirro smiled to herself. "I know." Evelyn then looked to Shortstraw and held her arms out reluctantly. For some reason her face had turned a weird shade of red. "And for once I'll allow... a hug... because I was... worried..." Kiiro really did make Evelyn softer. This would have been taboo for Evelyn before.

He littarly humed off the bed and crashed into her with a massive hug fo his own, going for all he could get he cuddled his head into her though, "You scared the crap out of me with all this! I almost thought you betrayed me!" He looked up to her and smiled ever so warmly, almsot with puppydog like eyes, "i do hope things get better then i thought it was going to be only moments ago." He nuzzled back into her, "i was almost sure my ansestors were right, dont scare me like that ever again okay." He closed his eyes before looking back, but still latched to her, "i do hope keria will be okay too... and she dosn't think i chose somthing over her... i was trying so hard not to choose or make it seem like i chose anything over either of you." He looked up to her again, "you two really are everything to me." He smiled.

Evelyn grimaced however bared with the hug. "Yeah yeah, just not so tight, okay? You'll squeeze the non-existing life outta me." She eventually shoved him off her and sat up, straightening herself out. " Jesus. There's only so much love one Demon can take you know." Evelyn eventually sighed and shut her eyes. "All me and Kiera want to do is protect you, Shortstraw." Kiiro smiled over to them both. "Onee-chan. This girl is calmer now." Kiiro took her hand off Kiera's forehead and returned it to her side. "Ah, good. She'll be ready to talk in a minute then." And by coincidence, Kiera's eyes slowly opened.

*Shortstraw sat back down on the bed and was going to say somthing befor he stopped and looked to kiiro. He then looked to Keria, but decided not to speak just... he didnt need to interfear yet. Instead he was ready to lisen and learn. Maybe figure out was really going on. Meanwhile Paradioas coffen appeared silently in the corner ofthe room, untill he was needed agian.*
