Lin followed along quietly, it felt like her feet were dragging every step of the way, but it was a really, really long day so to speak.
"I'll be happy for the rest."

Earendil smiled tiredly and continued to lead her forward. "I know," he murmured. "I know."
It seemed like forever before they reached their quarters, and when they got there, Earendil didn't bother putting Miyuki down: he simply lay down on his bunk with her and fell asleep immediately.

Lin chuckled at that as she watched him collapse onto the bed, falling asleep as he was. Deciding it was too much of a hassle to get changed, she did the same thing, on her own bed.
Though she couldn't help but think how snug the two looked.

Strangely enough, it was the gentle rocking of the ship that finally dragged Earendil from his slumber. For a while, he just lay there, eyes closed, relaxing and enjoying his comfortable position. Suddenly he realized ... he had his arms around something - no, not something, someone. He opened his eyes and looked down to see that he was still holding Miyuki to him ... and it was nearly dark again.
He had slept the day away.
For a moment, he felt foolish and lazy, but then he remembered - that had been his goal. To change his sleeping habits to mirror those of the Night Elves.
Well, it seemed he had succeeded.
He looked around to see if Lin was awake yet.

Lin was asleep, on top of her sheets which suggested she crashed all the same just like he did. She was sleeping, curled up in a ball with her wings covering her, a position she had probably gotten use to from sleeping with Miyuki all the time.

Earendil sat up slowly, gently lowering Miyuki back to the bed so that she could keep sleeping. She had been even more tired than him by the time they'd gotten back, and he had a feeling she might sleep a bit longer. He didn't want to wake Lin, either - if she was still asleep, she probably needed it too.
Instead, then, he picked up the sheet of her bed and lightly pulled it over her.

Lin's mental state was sort of in limbo, she wasn't awake but she wasn't in a deep sleep neither. She could feel something slide over her. Finally after some effort she cracked an eye open to see what was going on.

Earendil was about to turn to leave when he saw Lin's eye crack open, and rather than leaving the room, he sat on the edge of the bed and gazed down at her, smiling softly.
"Evening," he murmured, brushing his fingers lightly across her cheek. "Sleep well?"

"Evening already?" Lin asked as she turned on her back so she wouldn't whamp Earendil with her wings while she stretched, "I slept well though."
At least she was pretty sure she did, she had been out like light.

Earendil smiled warmly as he watched her. "That's good. I think Miyuki is still asleep, we should probably leave her, right?"
He waited for her to wake up a bit more. "I was thinking," he murmured. "Now that Haldia is going to be coming with us ... how long do you think we're going to be on the island? I mean, we came here to visit her, but ... obviously if she's going to be coming with us, we don't really need to stay long ..."

Lin thought about it for a moment, "It depends on how much catching up Kelirahc needs to do. Other than that we could easily just stay here a week, or however long it takes to restock before heading back."
Which would make for a really quick trip.

Earendil nodded. "That makes sense. They won't be expecting us back at Amon Darthir for a while though ... it almost makes me wonder if we won't have the time to take a long way back and see if we find any other lands."
He grinned. "After all, we were hoping to do that eventually anyways. And if we don't find anything else, no harm done."

"You'll have to ask, but that does sound interesting..."
Even though there was a chance it might not be interesting at all, after all, what were the chances they would find something on the way back?

Earendil nodded again. "It is worth asking about, at least," he agreed. He reached for Lin's hand. "So. Shall we find something to eat or are you more inclined towards taking a bath first?"
He wanted a bath, personally, but he could wait until they returned to the island. A short swim was enough of a bath for him. But he knew that Lin, with her wings, would not have such an easy -- or pleasant -- time of it.

Taking Earendil's hand, Lin pulled herself up. She thought about it for a bit and decided the ocean and wings were not a good combination.
"I think I"ll take a bath first," she replied.
