"Well why not use a Necro-bomb on his ship? If it's a quick way to take over one then isn't that a good thing?" A small shrug before he sighed lightly and looked at the other ship for a moment before turning back to Savvy. "Alright then if you don't want to tell us then I guess we may find out that last bit of info from one of the others then." A small shrug to that. Though a look to Hunter and a eyebrow raised up. "Yeah you got no way in taking that dragon down unless Lady Luck is on your side Hunter."

She rolled her eyes. "I meant Fang...there must be enough pirates out here to take on at least just one ship." Crossing her arms lightly over her chest. "And using such means on a ship can be disaterous if you do not know all the contents of said ship. Such things are designed to both kill and bring to life things in one fell swoop...if there is something in cargo or an amount of things you aren't ready for then there's more than enough trouble on your hands." A tilt of her head. "As for the dragon...well...some people are smart enough to leave well enough alone when they can."

Shyrae let the dragon play around in the water, figuring she'd already learned the basics to swimming. And she was right until Sky popped back up and freaked out. Breath go away? But she'd stayed down long enough that she knew to hold her breath. "Your lungs are...littler?" She wasnt' sure and she didn't want to tell her something that wasn't right. Her knowledge of dragons was pitifully small and she chafed at the constraints of her limited experience.
"I think that's a grand idea. She hasn't had any real upgrades in some time aside from your side wings. She could use the minor repairs done right rather than quick patch jobs, too. Give her the full treatment." Reaching out and patting the ship's rim affectionately. There were three women in Thobias' life that he elevated over the rest. The Sandsea, Gem, and the Gale Claw. The others came and went but those three claimed his uppermost spots of affection.
Filing away the information took little time but Eilynne never revealed herself during the conversation. She and the black respected each other's power and knew that their battles were evenly matched unless tides turned in the middle of the battle or some other condition became favorable for one or the other. finally, Eilynne had had enough and didn't want this dragon putting thoughts into Jae's head so that Eilynne's form of communication directly to Jae's thoughts was employed instead. "That's quite enough, Jaebell. Be careful his personal comments. He could have other aims as well."

She wrinkled her nose at that information. "Not fair." Because it wasn't. Well now she had to find something out now didn't she? Taking another breath and another kick of wings got her down under the water again, this time longer than before, until she came up gasping for air once more. "Make bigger." Nodding as if she knew how to do that before she waded into more shallow water and scooped up some sand, taking to rubbing it into her skin.
"Right...poor girl is taking a beating this time around. Besides, I'd like to take a big of a rest myself. I swear I'm getting old some days." Shaking her head lightly and flicking the brim of her hat to push it back some. "Maybe you could find yourself a little break too. I know I've been running you ragged here lately more than I usually do."
She nodded to the voice in her head and got up, though as soon as she did she gave a yelp as talons closed around her quickly, knocking her down in the process to the paw that was once again caging her." Moving her arms from around her head where they had gone in protection at the action she blinked at him. Was he smirking at her?
"You see how easy that was? You really are far too trusting and too much of a risk to be out here. There are more than enough wild dragons out here, more than enough tamed ones too...you're more or less like a little beacon right now to them all if the wind blows the right way. Might I suggest that you let your friends go on ahead or you go back home. Or maybe play bait yourself and be useful. Just some sound advice from an old dragon..."

And she had no idea what to say to that. It was probably a big jump from having large lungs to really tiny ones but that was the difference between their two forms. Watching Sky intently, Shyrae tilted her head. "Sky? What are you doing?" Please don't say making bigger... How was sand going to help? Where was Dhairiss when she needed him?!
"Rests are good. For crew and captain alike. If you take one, I will too. If you don't, I won't. Simple as that Gem. Besides, it's my job to be run ragged so you can relax."
Puffing herself up, she let out a trill that sounded quite authoritative. This dragon was walking on thin ice with her and she flapped her wings, releasing the dragon as the talons were closed and she was disoriented. "Jaebelltiah! Do not let him scare you. You belong with us, you will remain with us. Bid him good day and change form if you have to."

"Fang's ship is built on certain priciple. namely the rock python. she's slow, and big...but has more than enough range, especially now, and guns to tear to pieces smaller ships in very little time. it would take at least a good three or four fast, well armed ships to sink the Serpent."

It would just take some time to learn to take in as much as air possible and be able to hold her breath like she used to be able to, but she was convinced that she could do it. But her mind was ever going and easily flowed from the one subject to the other. A blink over to Shyrae thouh as she seemed a tad upset. "Cleaning. Another way to do it?" Was there? This was how she had always done it. Little sand to scrape off all the dirt and loose scales and what not. Was she supposed to do it different now?
A dismissive motion. "Yes yes, but you're my favorite. I'm supposed to run you less ragged than the others and allow you little perks of various devisions and what not. But honestly...if you want some shore leave then just tell me. You're not my slave after all and I can't have a first mate going bonkers or cabin fever on me. Me...I was born on a ship and I intend to die on one too."
Admittedly she was kind of scared...after all who wouldn't be. This dragon was bringing up some very good points that could also be very very bad points, not to mention that he could crush her or eat her or something if he wished to. All he had to do was squeeze and she would be a smear on the bottom of his paws and under his talons. It wasn't an appealing thought. But again the voice broke into her head and gave her some thought that was more directional to grasp onto.
Propping herself on her knees, she gave a little shove to his talons but apparently he wasn't going to be letting her go. Which only made her put on more panic mode. Keep it together, don't let him ruffle you and just do what Eilynne tells you. "Thank you for your help, it's appreciated." Thusly a swirl of silvery mist to change form, which forced his paw open to accomodate her size and the white dragon more or less tumbled down from his paw and dropped to the sand in a pile of herself...though not for long as she hopped up and turned, backing away from the other with caution as her tail flicked back and forth in her nervousness.
How lovely, he got her all riled up and what not. Meant she was prone to less than smart decisions when she was left to her own thinking. Like a scared rabbit waiting to see if he was going to pounce her. "No worries, little white. I can control myself around you. Better head on back with your maps and what not."
Didn't have to tell her twice, thus she turned and scampered back across the sand to the ship...a bit too fast and thus slipping a bit, more or less broadsiding the Gale Claw with herself, rocking both ship and herself. Ow...that hurt. But we were jsut going to curl our dragon self right up against the ship here for a moment.
Gem flailed a little to keep her balance as the ship lurched from the impact. "What in the sand's name is Ice doing?" Grabbing onto Thobias to steady herself some more as well as a hand on her hat to keep herself stead.
"He can't watch all his sides at once. Sounds more like the rest of you are more keen to just ignore the problem rather than fix it. But that's your decison and if that is how it is then so be it. I was just curious is all."

Cleaning? With sand? No, that wouldn't do at all. "No, Sky. In this form sand won't clean you off, water will. Sand will irritate your skin." Silt would clean her off but this wasn't even fine grained sand. "Come here and I'll show you." Dipping her head back, she ran her fingers through it then pulled a sliver of soap out of a runic pocket and rubbed her hands on her skin. "See? Not sand, soap. You don't have scales anymore."
"Yes, but we don't speak of dying, remember? If I have need, I'll let you know." He steadied himself and Gem easily enough, shaking his head. "Falling against things, most likely. She's quite clumsy though endearingly so." Walking over, he glanced down. "You alright, Ice? Need some assistance?"
The Laerethe was furious and she sent a quick message out to her companion then took flight, raining her displeasure down on the dragon in the form of subtle magical flicks. They wouldn't hurt him, but they would irritate his scales slightly. Just enough to be an annoyance without causing any real damage. Flying back to the ship, she landed on Kaznec's shoulder. "Kaznec, calm Jaebelltiah. I believe Captain Deacon is being impatient once again."
Taking flight, she landed on the Chimera and changed forms, glancing between those gathered and stood back to wait. When Hunter wanted to speak with her, he would. She wasn't going to interrupt what was currently going on.

Okay so apparently this wasn't the way it was supposed to be done. And truth be told...it wasn't feeling too good anyway. The sand water combo usually did feel good, but it was a tad rough on her softer skin now. Rinsing her hands, she waded back to Shyrae, giving an inquisitive look to the new object and then what it did. Was it making bubbles? She was clearly confused as she scrunched her nose. "How work?"
"Yes yes I know...but it's still there." Shaking her head lightly. "It's endearing until she's doing it against my ship in her natural form...the ship may be bigger than her but she can still do some damage to it." Shaking her head lightly and giving a sigh as she joined Thobias as the railing as well, looking down at the dragoness.
She was acting too sensitive to this and she knew it, but she couldn't help it at the same time. Such facts were scary and there really was no way to help it now was there? Nope. but a look up to the captain and her first mate as they inquired as well as pointed out how she was being more of a problem than anything with her actions. "S-sorry...no, I'm fine. Sand just...slipped out from under me. I got that charting information though...I'll hand it over soon."
Oh well...that was highly uncomfortable now wasn't it? Much so. But he merely shifted some before he stood and sauntered off for the time being as the sun was going down. He'd let things cool down around there for a bit before coming back.

"Not exactly. she's a thirty two gun standard. sixteen heavy guns on a side, and with those long nines on ehr bow and her new deck guns, about the only way you could get close without risking high damage is behind her. but to get behind her, you have to get around her, which is hard as you might imagine."
Before noticing Bell slid into the Claw, and raising a brow at that before glancing at the black one. interesting turn of events there..and then noticing the little pest.
"Seem I got an audience now..do excuse me."
Before walking over to said pest, and looking down at her.
"So, what was the general drift of the plan over there? and what ideas have been altered due to whatever just happened to cause Bell to slide into the Claw?"
Desdemona came up, hearing the thud and looked over the edge...what was she doing in dragon form curled up on the side of the boat? she looked half scared out of her mind...a look over at big black. he didn't seem upset, ruffled, or exactly...provocative. So what had spooked her?

How did she explain soap to a curious dragon? This was getting harder and harder the further they went on. "Well...it's a bit like sand but it changes forms when it gets wet. Kind of like you but it can't do it at will." Holding the sliver in her hand, she dunked it under water and showed her how easy it was to break. "Just rub it on your skin. It'll turn into bubbles and smear and when you wash it off, the dirt and sand goes, too. I have lots of these so use as many as you need." Demonstrating with her arm. "See?"
"We're definitely going to need port time." Shaking his head and studying her closely. "Something happened over there..." His eyes met Gem's and they shared some unspoken communication for a moment. "You don't think this might affect her loyalty or anything, do you?"
One eyebrow raised, tightening the star tattoos around her face. "Plan, Captain Deacon? Were you not involved in the initial making of it? Jaebelltiah simply gained the charting information a strategist should have of the land. In order to save time and to extend some trust to our friend, we allowed him to fill in the blanks."

"Don't be coy. Whatever happened over there spooked that girl enough to make her run here and slide into the Claw. and frankly, I don't trust that black dragon enough to want to risk my life on his charting skill. There are certain things you can't hide from us if you want this to work. You can't have meetings with gem and the dragons and hope that I have some meas of getting the information. and not all information is vocal. If something mentally effects a crew mate, we need to know what it was. Loyalty can be bought. and the price isn't always in coin."
tilting his head lightly at her.
"Or do you really think that Bell can stay the course entirely on her own. from what I've gathered, Des and her little spat nearly caused her to want to abandon us then and there and go back home. How sure are you that whatever that black dragon did or said isn't going to come back and bite us in the a** unawares? I don't want to make plans that need the involvement of someone I can't be sure about if push really comes to shove."
rubbing his chin lightly.
"Other than that, there's still Fang out there someplace. We need to keep as much sand between us and him as we can. the more time we sit still, the closer he can be getting. So I'm open to suggestions and what courses you think are the most reliable. So far Bell is the only one that is wavering on us. I don't want to send her away, and I don't want to have her locked up, but I won't have a choice if I can't be sure that she'll be here and be able to function, when we need her."
Desdemona hopped over the rail, and landed by Bell, looking at her. no clawmarks, no scent of blood, just a frightened rabbit look to her.
"you alright? he didn't try anything, indecent, did he?"

He'd been studying the conversation from afar and getting little to no information out of it, as anticipated. He tensed a little when the black got physical with Jae but knew better than to interrupt. If she was in danger, Eilynne would be there. Soon though, they were making their way back to the ship and he instinctively gripped the railing as the impact was felt by all. Taking orders from the transformed Laerethe, he flared wings and landed beside the white dragonness, cocking his head the slightest bit as he looked her over for injuries. "Don't rush yourself, Jae. We've come this far, a few minutes won't change much." A wary glance over as Desdemona landed as well. Crowding wasn't going to calm her either.

"Again, if you say so." She bet her father could find a way around...or hire someone else who could. After all...there was still the sky and ground to attack from too. You just had to know how to handle these things, but she listened to what was going on as apparently the little creature was visiting them...hm, something had happened between the dragons? See, this is what the annoying part of being blind was.
She watched, learned, and then repeated...and oh was it a fun thing indeed as she discovered this new thing, taking the piece from Shyrae...and duely doing a good job of frothing up the water around them with bubbled on the surface and what not in her fun of getting clean. But a sniff at the object, getting something she'd never gotten before, the smell of flowers though she wouldn't know that's what they were. "What smell?"
She crossed her arms over her chest and shifted her weight to one side, looking to her first mate. "Think? I have a feeling it will in some way...that little dragon has been all out of sorts lately. Especially since we picked up the rider. Now I'm all for being fluffy and friends and what not...but these dragons can be dangerous when they're pushed...and I don't want any trouble on my ship. If I have to brig her, I will."
Great...she was suddenly the center of attention. She didn't know how to feel about that either...it was disturbing and she really didn't want everyone in on things. "I-I'm fine. Really I am." Keeping her mouth closed for the moment though at that question before shaking her head to it. No he hadn't really tried anything persay...just mentioned things that were rather...unsettling. And Kaznec was in on it too as he was looking her over...oh God was he in on the knowledge too? He was old enough after all...great something else to fret over. "I just know that it's important we get moving again, right?" Purposfully feeding him logic despite how sometimes even he walked off the logic path...rarely, but he did.

Shyrae watched her have a good old time with it and let her go wild. It was just soap and any bubbles that were soiling the water would be washed out in no time. Her mother's soaps were natural, made with ingredients from both Underdark and Surface though these were strictly surface. "Honeysuckle. It's a kind of flower that grows along the banks. There's some lavender in there, too, to keep it soft and smooth and rosemary as well. They're all flowers that you can find in some places."
"That's what I was afraid of. From what I've seen, Lady Eilynne seems to be quite protective of her. We'll need to be careful whose toes we crunch, Gem." Though he could understand her concern but upsetting a legendary creature was not a bright move either.
Eilynne let Captain Deacon rattle on and on and on and simply stood there, waiting. "There is nothing more to tell you, Captain. The charting information came from the dragon that was on the sands. If his information proves false, we will then have a better idea of what we are dealing with."
She saw where everyone's minds were heading concerning the white dragonness and it infuriated her though she showed no outward sign of it. "The dragon pointed out her shortcomings and she reacted much the way you did when I pointed out yours. The difference, Captain, is we didn't threaten to toss you overboard although we did question your loyalty. I can't speak for Jaebelltiah, but it seems to me that by expecting her to turn and fail, she's far more likely to do so. It's about faith, Captain. Get some."
