Conner winced as Ellen telepathically communicated with him, while he wasn't new to this particular form of chatting he still wasn't used to having someone having easy access to his mind; no telling what she could find out about his...past activities.

"I don't see why not." He answered her. "I mean, I don't have a say in the runnin' of the place but I don't see the Prof. as being a man who says 'no'. " He added. He dropped the cake wrapper in the metal lock box and dropped over the side again. He looped the scopes strap over his head and tightened it so the telescope pressed into the small of his back. He aimed himself towards the school and then turned to Ellen. "Come on, follow me and we'll be there in no time." He said. After the bit of food he'd had he felt up to the journey back to the institute. He ran towards the edge of the building and put everything he had into his jump, crack the brickwork as he did, and leapt across the chasm that the building he jumped from and to made, he rolled as he landed but was quickly back onto his feet and running for the opposite edge.

Damon rose his head again, acknowledging that he had been spoken to, but was quick to avert his gaze. This situation was incredibly ackward for him. Sitting in room with people he had only met briefly, one of them cooking a meal that she didn't have to, and the others trying to strike up conversations. He wasn't used to this type of sociality. People didn't usually want to be his friend. It was much easier to simply dislike him.

Sara's question required an answer. At the very least, Damon owed her one for her troubles. Raising his voice slightly, he was able to make an audible response.

"Whatever... is the least trouble... thank you..."

His eyes darted around the kitchen as each word left his mouth, uncertainty at speaking apparent on his face.

Aarin grinned. "actually, yeah. With your power, you could make a pretty sweet hideout, and Tobias can handle wiring and such. We'd be undetectable if we did it right."

Tobias nodded. "'Course it's cool. It's me, after all. Who needs a stove?" He flipped several strips of cooked bacon onto a paper towel and started munching on one.

Tearing her eyes away from the shimmering set of keys, Victoria glanced around the kitchen briefly to see what responses, if any, she may have gotten. At no surprise to her, a few more people have shuffled into the kitchen. One of those few individuals just so happened to be Kevin, a younger and newer recruit who see had not seen since early yesterday morning. Save for Sara, who was busy making Damon an omelet weather he liked it or not, Kevin was the only one to responded to her query directly. Given a few more moments, any of the other occupants might have given an answer as well, but Victoria was restless and full of energy this morning, which always did wonders for her patience.

"Nope," said Victoria, returning the keys to her pocket and shrugging off Kevin's question with ease. "I've got nothing planned. I'm just bored and want out, that's all."

Sitting down on the stool again, the young female crossed her legs and twitched her feet slightly as she racked her brain for somewhere to go so she did not die of boredom.

Blade looked over at Victoria and shrugged.
"I just came to Bayville last night so I really don't many places . . ." She trailed off, letting the others know that she had no clue as to what to do. "What's your name, so I know for the future?" Blade asked curiously.

Ellen smiled and nodded enthusiastically, deciding not to send him anymore telepathic messages. She noticed him cringing and figured he had a few things he wanted to keep personal. It was a reasonable worry, although she wouldn't risk reading any minds until she got a little more experienced with her abilities. Making sure she could fly before following him, she levitated off the ground and soon was off after him. Her abilities were being very obedient, although she was sure they'd take advantage of being used so frequently and cause mayhem when she finally got to the institute the boy had mentioned.

"Um... what's your name? I never caught it." Ellen asked telepathically, a little unhappy that she had to send him another message when he clearly disliked it. He'd probably forgive her for the instant though; she couldn't speak otherwise.

Conner grabbed the railing of the next roof top and jumped over onto it. He was going to hae to get used to the telepathy, it was either that or sign language as far as he could see and he was absolutley rotten at languages. My name's Conner. he thought as a reply as he ran for the next building edge, the next jump was a short one but a deep one as the oppositte building was a good hundred feet down. He jumped off and allowed gravity to briefly take him before reversing his own gravity to slow him down, even so, he still rolled as he hit the roof top. So what was it like, living so close to the Brotherhood house? He asked har as he lined up for the next jump.

Albel recomposed himself, stretching his arms into the air. "I'm in", he said with a strait face. He started to walk back toward the mansion, when he shouted back to Aarin, "Just let me know when your little adventure will begin"

Kevin took another bite of Corn Flakes as he thought of any place that they all could go. He then remebered something he wanted to ask people, and know was probably the best chance to do it. "I've got no idea of where to go, but this something I've been trying to remember something. Was there a circus going on yesterday" he said. Kevin didn't want others to know right now that he had lost all memeory of the last day because he knew he would then have to go to the Profesor, and for some reason he didn't want the Proffesor to be readoing his mind.

Tabitha finally made up her mind and decided that she would move back. If for some reason it didn't turn out all right, she could always leave. There was always a second option... but she then thought it off. Tabitha then hit the buzzer on the intercom at the gate and said through the speaker. "Hey can someone open the gate. It's Tabitha."

"Victoria," said the slightly older of the female mutants. Turning slightly on the stool she was perched upon, she glanced at the girl who had addressed and gave a quick wave of greeting. Noticing that she did not look the least bit familier, confirmed the girl's statement that she was new to the X-Mansion and well as the area of Bayville.

"Maybe you'd enjoy a nice drive through Bayville then," Victoria continued, still addressing the new girl. Playing chauffeur to the unnamed teen was not something she volunteer to do normally, but she was bored enough to take extreme measures of kindness such as this. Besides, she could always drive pass the Brotherhood home and see if Conner was still there. It was obvious that he had not come home yet, and she was anxious to hear the outcome of his stake-out.

"And Yeah," said interjected suddenly, pointing to Kevin so he knew he was being addressed. "There was a circus in town yesterday, though I choose to spend my time elsewhere come yesterday..."

"I favor to ask. When you go out to take a drive, can you drop me off at where the circus was?" Kevin asked. He needed to get to the bottom of what happened, and he knew the first place to start his search was the circus. That's the only thing he remembered and it was going to be his best chance at gaining back his memory of the last day.

Ellen was a bit surprised to pick up on thoughts he intended for her to hear; maybe he was getting used to telepathy? Deciding she wouldn't question him, she pondered his question, trying to think whether the people in that house - the Brotherhood, apparently - had an impact on their lives.

"It got pretty noisy when they started having parties, I suppose." Ellen thought finally, sending him the message, "and they did cause some trouble with the community, although I... fixed it." She chose the last two words carefully, hoping he wouldn't realize she had difficulty controlling her powers. He seemed to have such control over his own, and it made her feel lousy. It gave her all the reasons she needed to check out the institute; they'd be able to help her work out her problem.

Sara bustled about and was quickly done with Blades and Damons' omlets. "Here ya go." She said cheerfully setting a plate before them. "Enjoy." She said and looked at Victoria. "I'm game to go out." She said. "I'm usually doin my chores and stuff now so free time is kinda nice fer a change." She said and nodded to Blade. "I'm in the same boat as Blade here. Don't know the area yet." She said apologetically.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Lizz decided to do it and got up to begin the fixings for a second pot of coffee. She also let the comment about hime being naturally cool slide with out comment. "I figured a stove would come in handy for those big cooking jobs...the stuff you couldn't fit on your hands."

Damon accepted the omelet with a nod and a uncertain grin. He couldn't deny his hunger, but it was very awkward to have Sara make breakfast for him. She hardly knew him, only having met Damon yesterday.

And there was an undeniable energy in the kitchen, the other teenagers speaking so easily to one another, even though they admitted to not being familiar with each other. He couldn't do that himself...

He stared down at the plate in front of him, not really seeing it, until his stomach lurched. It reeled him back into reality and the reality was that he was hungry. Taking a fork, he began to quickly and quietly make swift work of the omelet. He paced himself to a degree, not wishing to appear without etiquette, but it didn't take him long to clear the plate in front of him.

Conner didn't ask Ellen to extrapolate on her statement, he figured it would come out in time.
The edge of the Institute grounds was now coming up, Conner deviated off course and jumped from the roof top and wall ran over the edifice of an office building, leaving grubby shoeprints acvross the glass as he did, and once he reached the opposite side he dropped down onto the tallest tree he could reach.
We're almost there, just a quick sojourn through the woods and that's it. He told her. He slid down the trunk until he was at the stronger set of high branches and ran and jumped from tree branch to tree branch like a squirrel, making sure he was visible through the tree canopy so Ellen didn't lose sight of his direction.
With a large jump he was over the Institute wall and continued till he reached a clearing, He jumped down from the tree and waited for Ellen in the middle of the clearing.
