*pops in* I'm not sure were else to post this, but there is a petition to make pregnant avatars. I'm not sure if anyone else has posted this or would be interested, but here is the link http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6533789&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0I really am not fond with all their ideas...but I still wish Gaia would make a preggy option so the people who are pregnant in real life can show it in their avatar if they wish. Also, I really want to try to have my mother join Gaia, because I'm sure she would love the GPG. I tried explaining to her what the site is about(really that it's just a message board), but she doesn't think she'd be interested insomething I like. I was wondering, what draws everyone to Gaia? My mother doesn't like anime(nor will she understand breedables), and that's what I use it for, so I really need another opinion on what everyone else likes here.

I think it would be cool if you could pick a body shape in general sorta like you do when you play The Sims.

Yeah! the body shape thing is a good idea. I'd also like to see other skin colors, but that's just me wanting to be green.

Nopenname antonio_baka_guy Question for you guys: Is there only one sign language used over there in the states for deaf communicaton? I'm asking because my job includes sign interperating and it's a pain in the a** sometimes. There are two languages used here, Auslan and Signed English. I trained in signed english because you sign every word, (perfect for teaching sentance structure in schools) Bt Auslan is different, has different signs and a much different grammatical structure. It's a realy pain to teach kids who sign with auslan how to put sentances together because they have to translate it back into english! Anyway, stop rambling, Ant, yes sir, What was my question again??? Oh yeah, how many sign languages are there in the states... I'm really not awake yet, am I? No. Thanks... We use both SE and ASL. American Sign Language does not sign every word, instead it attempts to convey a message. If I was saying I have 1 brother I might sign one, brother, and point to myself. Where as you know in Signed English I'd sign every word. I know more people who use ASL...we Americans we are LAZY! No seriously... Most people who use ASL that I know though know Signed English and were taught it first. One of the first things we did when I was a camp counselor when I was 16 at a camp for deaf kids was we made up and shared our signs for our names. Mine was holding my hand like I was drawing a heart in the air. When I speak about baby sign language there are whole involved sets of sign language by different psychologists and child hood education doctors with different signs that are easier to learn and they are geared toward kids who are not deaf but help them with the frustration of learning to communicate...which I'm sure you're aware of. Most of those are based off of the words in SE. So is it bad that I've just been teaching Walter ASL? That's what I learned as a kid. <-- had a deaf Girls' Scout leader and was hearing impaired till age 5.

Maybe ask if she wants to read a few threads in the guild...that might help

I'd love to have a pregnant option for avatars, but I honestly don't think the Admins would go for it.

SO far the only sign he'll do is "milk" but he can recognise "eat" and "sleep" and "potty" and "play". Some signs I think I just don't do enough around him.
