After using the TM on Black*Star and safely depositing the trash in a nearby trash can the two wondered where Jaeshan had gotten off to. Or rather, Robin had wondered where Jaeshan had gotten to Black*Star was busy enjoying his crown. "Hm, well we just kinda left him in the pokemon center, maybe we could ask Nurse Joy where he went? Let's get going, the sooner we find him the sooner we can start training, after all she did say you can start practicing your attacks again." That did get Black*Stars interest and soon they were headed back off to the pokemon center so that they could ask the friendly nurse.
As they made their way through the mining town Robin wished that she had a rock pokemon that Jaeshan could train against. She didn't though and she really wouldn't be much of a help in his training. Maybe she could find a miner who would want to battle him or something. Well first things first, she had to find the cute blond boy first. Stepping into the pokemon center Robin headed over to the counter Nurse Joy was standing behind. "Nurse Joy did you see where my friend went after I left? I was kinda in a hurry."
"He's right in the back, he is training pretty hard. Maybe you should bring him a water bottle or something?" The nurse suggested with a smile on her face. The redhead didn't seem smart enough to be able to figure that bringing the boy things might help her out.
"Oh thats a good idea! Thank you Nurse Joy!" Robin waved before heading towards the cafeteria Black*Star on her heals. "Lets see, water bottles, where could those be?" She muttered as she looked around the large room. It sure had a lot of food here, and tables and such but not a lot of water bottles. After a second of looking though she managed to find a few resting in some ice. "Ah cooold!" Robin muttered as she grabbed enough for Jaeshan, Turtwig, Bidoof, Black*Star, Ace, and herself. "Can you carry a few Black*Star?" Robin muttered as she handed two of the bottles down to him. The Totodile just nodded and grabbed them as they made there way to the back of the pokemon center. "Oh wow there is an arena back here?" Robin said outloud as she looked at the well worn field. "I didn't know that! Oh! There you are Jaeshan!" Robin bounded over to him and after a moment of shuffling she handed over one of her water bottles. "Here you go! I brought you something to drink."

Eris' ears twitched ever so slightly as she watched her trainer walk away, and suddenly a strange sensation went through her mind and she felt inclined to follow. She hopped down from the bench and followed after Riza, her light paws making little noise on the pavement. Riza had looked over her shoulder to see if her Pokemon was behaving or not, so had she been watching where she was going, she might not have ran smack into a blonde haired girl. "Oh, ouch," she grumbled, having landed hard on her rear, looking down at Eris as she had stopped at her trainer's side to see if she was all right. Before she could answer though, a young man with orange hair had arrived on the scene, and he seemed to know the girl Riza had just bumped into, or been bumped into by. She wasn't quite sure at this moment.
"Uh, don't worry about it, I wasn't watching where I was going either," she admitted sheepishly, accepting the young man's hand as he helped her get to her feet. She quickly surveyed her new outfit, grateful to see there were no tears or rips. "Oh, you have a Quilava too?" she asked, watching curiously for her own Pokemon's reaction.
'Uh, hi?' Eris answered, a bit uncertainly. She'd not met another of her kind before (well, not since her evolution, as she and her siblings had all been young Cyndaquil) and wasn't sure how to react. She sniffed the air a bit and continued to study the newcomer while keeping her eye on Riza. * * * * * Katie wasn't worried about the gym catching fire, as the previous downpour had soaked everything quite thoroughly. Genki's eyes were sharp as the Weather Ball cut through his powerful flames, and if they thought he couldn't dodge that then they were seriously underestimating him! The Monferno drew his limbs in close and he picked up a bit of speed, laughing cheekily as the ball of energy passed just over his head. It seemed to have lost some momentum as it had traversed the Flamethrower.
Katie wasn't normally one to repeat moves, but she knew that if she wanted to end this on her terms, then she had little choice. "Again, Genki," she said, her gaze flickering between her Monferno and Gardenia's Roserade. The Playful Pokemon reared back and loosed another powerful stream of flames at the flowery target. Unlike his trainer, he didn't seem to mind the fact that they kept dodging all his fiery moves as it was good practice, and he was having fun playing 'tag' with the Bouquet Pokemon.

Eztli knocked on the door labeled 'Reinhardt Adler' and waited for the journalist to answer. Kai had gotten off on the same floor, but he had wandered down the hall aimlessly until he was under the security camera's blindspot. There was one office at that end, so it would appear as if he had walked in the door there. Eztli heard someone inside Adler's office, but the door didn't open. She knocked again, more firmly. There was still no response. Eztli frowned, thinking of all the bad karma she was accumulating, before turning the knob and entering into Adler's office and closing the door behind her. A man in his mid-thirties was sitting behind a mountain of papers. He looked hassled and startled that Eztli had come in the door. He ran a hand through his short blond hair.
"Can I help you?" Eztli watched him carefully.
"My name is Alixandra Harris. Do you not remember me?" Adler looked very confused and shook his head violently, before glancing back down to his papers.
"I'm sorry, but no. Now if you will excuse, I have a deadline-"
"Adler, you interviewed me a few days ago. How could you not write about my sister? How can you not remember?" Adler raised an eyebrow.
"I'm sorry, what?"
"My sister! You said you were going to write a story about my sister! The one who died a few months ago! You are the journalist Reinhardt Adler right?"
"Well yes but-"
"My sister...she was a noble person and you were going to commemorate her and call for reform! I can see now you intend no such thing! How dare you lead me on like that! I had high hopes that many like her would get the help they needed through your article."
"Miss, I'm afraid I haven't the slightest idea-"
"Oh you don't? Is there another Reinhardt Adler then? I would very much like to speak with him. Adler is blond, has blue eyes, works as a journalist...That sure seems like you. So tell me, what are you going to do about this injustice?" Adler stared speechless for a moment, before reaching a hand for his phone. Eztli was faster. She picked up the phone, and brought it out of reach, before disconnecting the phone line completely. She made a tsk-ing noise. "We can't have security coming through here, now can we?" Eztli brought out her lighter. Adler eyed it with suspicion, but with no fear. She flicked it open and brought a flame to life. Adler still regarded her cooly, until she brought the flame close to his pile of documents on his desk. He flinched as one began to smoke before Eztli put it out. "Now listen here. You are coming with me. You are not to make a single sound. Pretend I am simply an old colleague. We must stop by your house first, and then we will be on our way. I will have K-George take care of you." Adler nodded uncertainly.
"And if I do alert someone? You certainly have nothing to threaten me with right now. This is rather pathetic." Eztli showed no emotion. She withdrew Malinche's Pokeball from her belt. She held it up, twisting it around in her hands.
"Within this Pokeball is a very dangerous Pokemon named Gengar. Heard of it? It can haunt your nightmares and eat your soul. And bonus, it can be completely invisible. No one will see it happening." Adler paled a tiny bit, and Eztli smiled wickedly. She hated herself for terrifying the poor man, but it was a necessity. "Good. Now let's go." She motioned to the door with the hand holding Malinche's Pokeball, and Adler got up shakily. He opened the door to find Kai waiting for him. "Oh George," Eztli said, her voice deadpan. "Watch over him for just a moment, if you would." Kai shook his head, but he didn't move. Eztli turned her back for a moment, and lit a few key pieces of paper on fire. The blaze would be raging in seconds. "The alarm will be sounding soon," Eztli said dryly, as she put her lighter away. She gripped Adler's forearm tightly. "To your house then. Lead the way," she said, as the alarms began to blare. She carefully composed her expression into one of shock and horror as she lead the way to the elevator, channeling her memories of the Ilex Forest fire. 'That is the act I will need to put on should I be stopped by anyone.'

The young blonde girl and her bandanna wearing Clefairy were lost, of that there was no doubt. It must be some time after midnight by now and the duo were starting to get droopy eyed even with the sleep they had that afternoon. But they were still too close to those Kakuna trees to even think about resting where they were, they had to keep going. Picking the direction that the newly acquired Oddish had been coming from, the pair trudged off to find somewhere to sleep - the morning sun should be able to tell them which way was west, and hopefully the main path in the forest. At least Akane hoped it would.
They kept on walking, one foot in front of the other, settling into something akin to a trance. A trance that was broken by the thud of Twinkers tripping over a root. The poor little Clefairy was so tired she could barely push herself up to standing again, wobbled, and fell back onto her butt. Akane looked around bleary eyed for somewhere to rest. The best thing she could spy was a relatively flat patch of ground nestled between a large tree's roots. The young trainer carried Twinkers, with much effort, over to the tree. She then set to work pulling out her sleeping bag and spreading it out in the place she had chosen. Her bag, padded as it was with her old clothes, would have to do for a pillow.
Twinkers was snuggled in the sleeping bag in no time, but just as Akane was about to hop in with her pink friend she decided to call out her new Oddish, Colandra. The Weed Pokemon appeared in the now familiar red light, head cocked to one side, and asked "Odd?"
Akane managed to get "Guard us for the night, please?" through a rather large yawn before she got in the sleeping bag and quickly fell asleep to the sound of Colandra pacing back and forward between the tree roots saying "Odd" with every step. Somehow the sound was comforting.

The Walrein let out an indignant yelp as a giant glob of mud splattered against her. She shook it off, trying her best to keep the muck out of her eyes and the Swampert within her sights. "Fight back with a Body Slam," Keegan said quickly. A sudden wave of fatigue overwhelmed him and the redhead had to stifle a yawn. Sleep seemed to be like a very good idea right about now. Shiva growled and used her tail and flippers to push herself across the ice. She felt larger and more powerful, and she narrowed her eyes as she glided across the slippery ground towards Levi. ===== By the time Miharu had finished her breakfast, Sam still hadn't made an appearance so the green-haired girl returned her dishes to the kitchen and headed outside as she was feeling slightly claustrophobic. She didn't plan on straying too far from the center in case Sam came looking for her, but she wanted to give Mori some air and a chance to stretch her legs. The young Ponyta appeared in a flash of light at her side, looking well-rested and energetic and when Miharu gave her the okay, she eagerly took off running. Miharu smiled as she watched the fire horse race around the area, her flaming mane and tail streaming out behind her like a banner.
After a few minutes of watching the Ponyta exercise, Miharu released Sparkle from her PokeBall as well, giggling slightly as the Ampharos greeted her with a big hug. "Hey Sparkle, are you up for a bit of training?" she asked, smoothing her now frizzled hair thanks to the Electric-type's static. Sparkle cooed and nodded, now catching sight of the agile little Ponyta racing around the area, wondering if she'd be training with Mori. She also looked around for her trainer's new friend, a little disappointed when she didn't see her. "Okay then, go warm up, and we'll start in a bit," Miharu said, looking around again as well. She'd positioned herself so that she would be difficult to miss for anyone coming out of the Pokemon Center.

Jasper had chosen to retire to the spare room before Ross could press the trainer issue any further, though he nearly got a chance anyway as Ditto had been as difficult to pry from the floor as year-old chewing gum from the sidewalk. Jasper shut the door behind him and flopped down on the cot, hardly bothering to look around the sparsely decorated room. It was normally used for storage, but lately it had been used as a makeshift quarters for the guards working the night shifts. Jasper kicked off his shoes and removed his jacket before lying back on the cot. The thin mattress had a rather uncomfortable kink in the center from where it folded but it was nothing Jasper couldn't bear. It was either this, or pull up a section of ground somewhere, and at the very least this place was sheltered. He sighed as Ditto ambled up on the bed beside him and once again resumed puddle-form, and a few seconds later it was sound asleep.
Jasper watched the sleeping Pokemon enviously for a while before he stretched his arms up and folded them under his head. He'd never been the fall-asleep-in-seconds type, but he figured that it was probably due to the fact that his brain rarely shut itself off. Many things were going through his head at this moment, but he never really dwelled on one single thing for very long, at least until his subconscious dredged up the memory of how he'd first met Ross, nearly a year ago now. The green-eyed youth couldn't help but chuckle at the mere thought of it, and he closed his eyes in an attempt to relive the memory and possibly drift off to sleep in the meantime.
It had been a rather nice Saturday, and right here in the National Park, at that, and as such was hosting its traditional weekend Bug-Catching Contest. Though this type of activity hadn't appealed to Jasper in the slightest, he thought he'd try his hand at it, though of course he had no intentions of playing fair. Ditto had assumed its practically-trademark Pika-form and remained perched obediently on Jasper's shoulder as he signed up for the contest. Once the event had started, Jasper an Ditto-chu set off in a seemingly random direction, away from the other competitors. As luck would have it, they happened to come across a wild Scyther in the tallest grass. It had fled, but not before Ditto was able to Transform perfectly into the Mantis Pokemon, though to ensure their victory Ditto had altered its colouring to a pale blue, much like its normal state.
If it had been any other park guard but Ross working that day, Jasper was certain he and Ditto would have gotten away with their little scheme completely, though for reasons unknown even now Ross had gone through the motions of judging the competitor's Bug Pokemon adequately. He'd awarded the first place to Jasper and his amazing blue Scyther- which Jasper still heard about from the occasional park goers- an had even turned over the top prize, but not before giving the youth and his Ditto a warning. Jasper, having no use for the Sun Stone whatsoever, gave it to the first young Pokemon trainer he came across, and that act, unselfish despite the means used to obtain the item in the first place, had redeemed the youth somewhat in Ross' eyes. The two had become fast friends after the incident, and sometimes they still laughed and joked about their first meeting.

Sam sat at the table, still for all intensive purposes asleep though somehow vaguely aware that something was happening. She was in the in between state of being awake and being asleep. She blinked a few times, trying to get the mothballs out of her head. Her vision was slowly coming into focus, and what she first noticed was Star standing on the table in front of her. Sam stared for a few moments, her brain processing very slowly, before she reached out and patted Star on the head.
"Hello there," she said, her words a bit slurred. She realized she was parched, and stood without entirely being aware of her actions. She walked slowly to the counter, picking up a bottled water and slowly sipping it before returning to the table. It was only then she realized she had woken up at the table in the middle of the Pokemon Center, and she was still dressed in her clothes. 'What the...Did I sleepwalk again?' Sam looked to Star, who was now sitting in a chair, passively watching her Trainer for any signs of trouble. Sam sat across from her. "Hey Star, how bad was it? Did I do anything particularly stupid?" Star snorted, and nodded, her face clearly saying, "Of course, you idiot." Sam swore to herself. She stood once more, and, not thinking, attempted to pick up Star as she had done when she was a Mudkip. 'Oh right, Marshtomp,' she thought as she accidentally dropped the heavier Mud Fish on the ground. Star got up, glaring at Sam, before turning and exiting the Pokemon Center. Sam watched her go, and saw Miharu outside with Sparkle and a little Ponyta. 'Miharu will take care of Star while I am getting ready. I must look like hell. I wonder what happened during my episode.' Sam wandered back to her room, and changed into pajamas. She stuck her clothes in the service washer, before heading to the bathroom to shower and get ready for the day.
Star exited the Center, walking confidently towards the green-haired girl Sam had been spending lots of time with recently. If Star remembered correctly, it was because of Miharu that she could now use Surf and Ice Beam, and while Star was inwardly grateful for Miharu's generosity, she would never show it. She walked, aloof as ever, past the little fire pony and the large Electric Pokemon before reaching Miharu and tugging on her dress. She smiled cheekily, before turning away and watching the Ampharos and Ponyta warm up. Star wasn't exactly itching for a battle just then, but she knew she could take both those weaklings in a fight. After all, the fire horse would probably go down with a single Surf, and the Ampharos' Electric attacks would be harmless. Star snickered to herself, exuding utter confidence.

Crenu watched with interest as the pokeball was lifted from his hand over to Riza but the Quilaza's psychic powers, something he still wasn't use to in the Typhlosion evolutionary line. Eris seemed to be getting a hang of her Extrasensory, and while it was probably in part to her evolving into a stronger stage he was sure Riza had practiced it with her several times to get it like this. He hadn't been expecting that in the slightest, but it was pretty much irrelevant to the current situation. He watched Riza take the ball and walk off towards the center with it, nodding when she told him to watch after Eris. "You don't really need babysitting do you?" He asked quietly, mostly talking to himself as he leaned back against the bench, pulling a cigarette out and lighting it. The tip glowing bright red, Crenu sighed as he looked at the Volcano pokemon, though not long after Riza had left them behind her ears started to twitch as if somethign had gotten her attention. Crenu watched as Eris kept looking at Riza, curious abotu what was going on in the little fire types mind. Was she that dependent on her trainer? He was about to forget about it and go back to staring at the ground when Eris suddenly hopped off the bench and followed her trainer, Crenu getting up to follow a few seconds later. He would have just sat there and let her go but there seemed to be a reason Eris wanted to follow Riza instead of staying behind like she was told, and she did ask him to keep an eye on her so his hands were sort of tied. As he followed Eris who was following Riza, Crenu watched the whole scene unfold before him.
Riza turned her head, probably to check if Crenu and Eris were still where she had left them, and as she did so a random blond haired girl exited the center and a collision ensued. Not a second later an orange haired guy came out and apologized for the blond girl, who was in turn blaming him, and Riza was getting up with his help apparently more worried about her outfit than herself. And while they all talked Eris seemed to be conversing with the other Quilava that was on the scene as well as Crenu walked up now. Joining in at Riza's side, though remaining slightly behind her with his arms crossed, he quickly scanned the two strangers with his eyes to make his initial assessment. "You alright?" He asked calmly, lips holding his cigarette in place in the corner of his mouth as he talked. He took a long drag and blew out a plume of smoke, getting that dreadful feeling that he was about to make more 'acquaintances'.

“Sorry, I should’ve been paying more attention as well.” Claire responded. “I’m Claire Hikari.” The blonde added, offering a handshake with the raven haired girl that stood before her and a nod to the boy that seemed to have crept up to stand protectively behind her. “Um yeah, Quilava are pretty reliable Pokemon. Are you from Johto as well?” Claire trailed off, feeling dumb for causing trouble. "Oh, well you don't have to indulge my questions if you have somewhere you need to be. I was just chasing my Quilava... which I guess counters my point that they're reliable if it ran off." Claire grinned sheepishly.
’So…’ Kokoro trailed off, suddenly unsure of why she had rushed out in the first place. Something about this Quilava seemed familiar to her, but she couldn’t quite place it. After another glance, the only other factors Kokoro could notice was that Eris seemed to be a bit stronger as well. ’I guess we’ve got a lot in common… or something, being Quilava and all.’
“The names Mag.” The auburn haired man added after the pause in conversation. "Or Moti. I go by both. There's a pretty good story behind the nickname although I'm sure it'd be bothersome to get into detail here. Especially right in front of the entrance to the Pokemon Center."

Kasiya frowned when she saw just how hard and fast Shiva was closing in on Levi, and she balled her hands into fists. "C'mon, Levi! Slide on the ice like Shiva and get out of the way!" she called frantically. Levi thought it sounded like a good idea, in theory, but her large feet and body just wouldn't cooperate and she stood uselessly in place for fear of falling down again. All she could do was brace herself as the very solidly-built Walrein slammed into her and she toppled, landing hard on the ice and causing it to shatter beneath her weight. Sharp stabbing pains coursed through her body and try as she might she couldn't get back up again. Though it pained her to admit it, Shiva had defeated her quite handily. The Swampert raised her head and grinned at her former teammate before lowering it again, only vaguely aware of Kasiya rushing to her side and hugging her gently.
Kasiya was also feeling a strange mixture of happiness and sadness, as this marked the first time she'd lost to Keegan. She'd actually lost! She hugged the Swampert one more time before recalling her into her Pokeball, and she stood up and looked over at him and his newly-evolve Walrein. Her happiness for him quickly won out over her misery of losing, and soon she was stepping across the broken ice to get to them. "Congratulations, you two!" she said, beaming at both of them even though she thought Shiva had been cuter as a Sealeo. Her previous fears of the redhead seemed all but forgotten for now too, as she was content to bask in this perfectly normal-feeling moment.
=-=-=-=-= Jake hadn't yet released his Pokemon for a second time and was standing in the center of the arena, staring up at the bright blue sky. Giant white clouds were slowly drifting by overhead and for a few moments the boy watched them, feeling strangely envious of them. They hadn't a care in the world, just floating up there in the blue. He looked back down at the ground and sighed at the gravity of his situation, and he kicked the ground a bit, trying to grasp the fleeting memories he'd had over the morning. They all seemed so distant and hazy, as though he were trying to see them through a shadowy veil, and even his memory of the small turtle thing was muddled. He shook his head, wondering if any of these flashes were even real. After all, he wanted so badly to remember who he was, so how did he know his mind wasn't fabricating things as a way of making him feel better?
A voice from behind him startled him out of his reverie, and he turned sharply on his heel to see Robin coming towards him. He winced when she said that name again - Jaeshan. It sounded familiar, yet utterly foreign at the same time an he repeated it softly to himself, a little surprised to find that the name itself seemed to taste bitter and acrid on his own tongue. "Hey Robin, Black*Star," he said, acknowledging the both of them. "Thanks," he added gratefully, accepting the bottle of cold water and unscrewing the cap in one fluid motion. He raised it to his lips and downed half of it in a single gulp, still feeling somewhat dehydrated after his experience in the sea from the night before. "Could you do me a favor, though?" he asked, a bit nervously. "Please don't call me Jaeshan for a while... it brings about too many unpleasant emotions. Jake will suffice, if you wouldn't mind."

Again Riza looked over her shoulder as Crenu joined them, though this time she didn't so much as give him a disapproving look over his filthy habit. "Yes, I'm fine," she assured him before looking back at the two newcomers before her.
"Riza Harding," she replied, shaking Claire's hand as it seemed to be the appropriate thing to do, though the Claire girl seemed a bit chatty. "And he's Crenu," she added, gesturing back to Shiro. "We're both from Johto. I'm from Blackthorn." She looked over at the pair of Quilava again, wondering what they were talking about. She looked back up at the orange haired young man introduced himself. She wasn't sure if she preferred Mag or Moti, but he seemed nice enough. "Speaking of the pokecenter, I need to make a quick stop," she said, hoping she didn't seem rude. She excused herself and stepped between the two and into the center.
For the most part Eris hadn't seemed to notice that her trainer was gone as she was still busily examining the new Quilava. 'Yup that is true,' she replied, inching closer to Kokoro. 'We also both breath fire!' she exclaimed before exhaling a small fireball onto the pavement before her. It didn't last long but it left a nice scorch mark in its wake. 'My name's Eris, what's yours?'

When Jasper awoke, he was surprised to find that he'd even dozed off at all, as he didn't remember doing so in the first place. His dreams had been dark and hazy and difficult to remember, and once he'd sat up and stretched he forgot them entirely. He'd never really been much of a dreamer and that was just fine with him as he felt dreams were a waste of time. Ditto was still soundly sleeping next to him, though the blob was a lot more substantial than he had been the night before. When Ditto got tired he lost volume and elasticity, becoming more like goop than a pliable dough. Jasper yawned and prodded the squishy Pokemon in the side until it woke up, and it grinned at him before yawning loudly as well.
Jasper shivered slightly as he pulled on his shoes and jacket, combing his hands through his messy brown hair a few times before he stuck his cap on his head and peeked through the door, which was still slightly ajar. Ross was nowhere to be seen, and Jasper assumed he was out on patrol until shift change, which would be in about fifteen minutes, according to the clock on the wall. Jasper was grateful that he was currently alone save for the blue blob plodding along behind him, though as he turned to head out of the gatehouse he noticed a brown leather fanny-pack was sitting on the desk. His curiosity got the better of him and he walked over to it and picked it up. It felt like there was something inside so he unzipped in and peered in, a little surprised to see six Pokeballs resting inside. There was also a ticket for the Magnet Train and a small slip of paper that appeared to be a voucher for a bike, as well as a modest amount of cash. "What is all this?" Jasper murmured, zipping it back up again an turning the leather bag over in his hands a few times. On the strap he found a tag secured by a length of string and he flipped it over to read the untidy scrawl written upon it.
The note was from Ross, interestingly enough, and Jasper raised an unimpressed eyebrow as he read it: "It isn't much, but it's more than some trainers start out with. I know you're already rolling your eyes and cursing me as you read this, but hear me out please keep reading. I know you don't want to be a trainer, but the truth is that a successful one can earn quite a substantial livelihood until they can figure out what to do with the rest of their lives. You've already got a valuable an loyal partner in Ditto so you might as well take the next step and become one yourself. I think it's something you'd be good at, so at least give it a try before you give up completely. You should take that voucher to the bike shop in town and redeem it for a bicycle. I had to cash in a lot of favors for that so you'd damn well better use it. Once you get your bike, you should head to either Pallet Town or New Bark Town to see Professor Oak or Professor Elm about getting a Pokedex. Good luck kid; the next time I hear from you, you'd better be a famous trainer and not locked away in prison, 'cause I ain't gonna be bailing your a** out."
Jasper let the tag fall once he'd finished reading, and he sighed. He would never admit it out loud, but Ross was right. He'd always been right. He reached into the bag and pulled out one of the Pokeballs, and he turned it over in his fingers a few times as he weighed his options. He could very well just leave all this stuff here and be on his way, but it seemed as though Ross had worked very hard to scrape all this stuff together. He put the red and white ball back in the bag and removed the tag before fastening it around his waist. Ditto had been watching him curiously, and he bobbed up and down as his 'trainer' grabbed a pen and a pad of paper from the desk and quickly scribbled 'Thanks' across the top of it in his rather neat and tidy handwriting.

Shiva had let out a grunt of protest after she'd slammed into Levi, as the ice had shattered beneath her weight, as well. One thing was certain, and that was that she was much heavier than before. She heaved herself to an upright position, blinking a few times in surprise when she saw that Levi had fallen. She let out a happy bark with the realization that she'd won, but her deeper voice was unsettling and she quickly quieted down, and instead watched the blonde-haired girl as she recalled her fainted Swampert.
Keegan, on the other hand, had quickly registered the fact that he'd just won the battle, and though he knew it wasn't that big a deal he couldn't help but grin like an idiot. He too carefully made his way across the non-shattered ice still covering the ground, noting that the warm Cinnabar atmosphere was already causing it to melt. When he met Kasiya in the middle, he wasn't sure what her reaction would be. He knew she wasn't a big fan of losing, but then again, who was? He was glad to see that she was smiling at him though, and he returned the smile. "Thanks," he said, also momentarily forgetting all the awkwardness between them. He patted Shiva on the head and recalled her into her PokeBall before looking towards the Pokemon Center. "Shall we?" he asked, holding out his arm for her to take. ===== Sparkle and Mori were still busily warming up an stretching their limbs when Miharu noticed that Star was ambling towards them. "Good morning, Star," she said, a little surprised that the Marshtomp had walked right up to her. She thought about giving the Mud Fish a pat but changed her mind as she wasn't sure how Star would react to that. She looked around, but didn't see Sam anywhere. She guessed her new friend would be along shortly and looked back to her own Pokemon, who were now watching Star intently.
Sparkle greeted the Marshtomp with a cheerful "Paloo!" while Mori simply inclined her head, a little wary of the Water and Ground-type. Sparkle was far too good-natured to even notice the confident smirk Star wore, as she hadn't really considered battling her new friend. Miharu watched the Marshtomp closely as she assessed the two Pokemon in front of her, smiling lightly to herself. Confident, this one, she thought, knowing it wouldn't take much for a Grass-type Pokemon, like Lily, to teach her a lesson (though she seriously hoped it wouldn't come to that). "You can warm up with us if you want to," the green-haired girl offered, looking back to her own Pokemon in order to devise a training plan.

Sam finally hopped out of the shower, briskly toweling off her hair. She pulled the pajamas on once more, and brushed her teeth. She glanced at her hair in the mirror. It was an utter mess, and she didn't think it would get much better until it was dry and didn't have a chance to tangle itself so easily. She ran a comb through it real quick and put it back in a ponytail to make it look halfway decent, before heading to get her clothes. She put them in the dryer, before heading to the cafeteria for some food. She wasn't at all concerned that she was in her pajamas in public. One upside to her medication was that she was rarely embarassed by such trivialites. She grabbed an apple and took a bite before grabbing another bottle of water and sipping it. She glanced out the windows and saw Star, noticing the smirk on her face. 'That probably won't end well. But I think Miharu can handle her. She's got Lily after all.' Sam was satisfied that everything was okay, and she stood and went back to the dryer. Her clothes weren't quite ready so she sat in front of the dryer, waiting for it to beep.
Star grinned at Miharu, and nodded. She walked forward. She nodded a greeting back to Mori, and waved to Sparkle. She could afford to be kind to these Pokemon, they presented no threat. She decided she was going to try showing off a little. She gathered water in her mouth, and quickly combined it with some ice. The resulting slush combo froze in the air when she released it. She began to combine it all together into a nice mixture, before scultping it up into a big pedestal. Finally, she clambered on top of it, and exhaled a bright Ice Beam to the sky. Little ice crystals rained down. She glanced down to the Ampharos and Ponya.
"How'd ya like that?" she asked them.

"Nothing's happening." Aerosmith and River glanced at their trainer, who hadn't appeared to have moved. At all.
"Let's go," he said, not moving in the least. Finally, he blinked and stood, gently slinking past all the action to get out of the way. Once he got into the fresh air, the male exhaled heavily. Clouds had gathered in the later afternoon, but he didn't notice the cooler feel of it all.
What Jett did notice was the incoherent sobbing of the small child a few feet away. People awkwardly strode past him, resisting to meet his tearful gaze. Jett wondered where his parents were, but he simply decided that they were at work and strolled up to the boy.
"What's wrong?" he asked, somewhat dully. The little boy looked up and sniffled.
"M-my Skitty..." he mumbled sadly, "we were playing on that route over there..." He gestured over to Route 116, and Jett followed the chubby finger's pointing with a half-lidded gaze. "A-and we were near the tunnel... and now she's gone! I think she went in there... and ran into..." The boy slapped his hands to his mouth and sobbed again. Jett raised a brow. "T-the Whismur..."
"...Those constantly crying ones?" Jett asked incredulously. How were they a threat? Couldn't a Skitty handle them?
"T-there's been stories 'bout how they grouped up with a big, mean Loudred..." the boy explained, before looking up hopefully to Jett. "C-can you help me...? Mommy's at work..."
Jett glanced to Aerosmith, who merely returned the gaze and finally looked to the route, snorting once. Then he stared to River, who smiled a little. Jett grinned at the little boy. "Yeah, we'll get your Skitty back."
