Saphi the house elf looks around the kitchens for someone to serve, when none are seen, she grab's a broom and starts mopping the floor...

Saphi looks around for other house elfs. "where have all my friends gone? Are the cleaning elsewear? Am i suppose to be there?..." Saphi continued to mumble under her breath...

Bocie elf was sitting in the corner, looking rather dejected as she stared around through teary eyes. Where were all of the students? Where was being all of the passion in cleaning and baking??
Looking up, she noticed Saphi, and spoke up rather loudly, "Hello new elf, I is being Bocie-elf. How long have you been working in the Hogwarts kitchen?"
She brushed her smock off quickly and ran bony fingers through her hair at an attempt to look presentable.

A new house elf looked shyly around as she swallowed, seeming nervous. She wondered what else needed to be done and looked for someone to help her out. Shadow sighed as she fixed the mitten she wore as she continued to look around.

After visiting the professor, Shadow decided to clean up the windows near the Great Hall.

Bocie elf shrugs as she is tired of waiting for a response, even though she is usually being very patient indeed.
Seeing Shadow come into the room, Bocie elf watches her carefully, smiling in a friendly way whenever the other elf looks her way. As she disappears through the door into the Great Hall, Bocie follows to help her with chores.
"Are you needing of any help?" Bocie elf says cheerfully, "I am being miss Bocie elf." Her smile reached from one huge ear to the next.

*Alicia elf rushes in the kitchens and accidentally bumps into the newest elves*
Oh my! I is soo sorry! I is Alicia Elf. It is nice to be meeting you. You is going to be liking it here.
If it is any questions you is needing answering, just let alicia elf know!
The kitchens tis going to be quite empty in the next few weeks. Tis being a mass sorting in HPGoG right now! Most of us house-elves are moving up and becoming students. Alicia elf is going to be so lonely soon.

"Oh, hello Alcia-elf," Bocie elf smiles, "I am Bocie-elf, of course," She curtsies in a clumsy, sort of childish way, and grabs a rag to help washing the windows.
"I know, I know," Bocie elf says, "I was hoping to move up, but I don't know if I can qualify yet," She finishes. Her eyes look a bit misty, and she rubs at them quickly with the back of one hand.

Phantom-elf walks over to Bocie-elf and whispers to her, "Phantom knows; she's in the same boat as Bocie is." She puts her hand on Bocie's shoulder and smiles at her.

Hello! Just wanted to say goodbye to Alicia. We never really did get to spend some time together before I got sorted, but I just wanted to let you know that you're doing a great job running the Kitchens, and I'm sorry I didn't get to know you better while I was a fellow house-elf.

Elliera walks in.
"Hi miss Alicia! I got sorted! I was sort of expecting to get sorted at Ravenclaw but Hufflepuff is nice! Miss Junimaia is very kind to us first years!" Smiles, spots a plate of cookies on babygurl1801, runs and snatches the cookie plate from her hands.
"Anyways, I came by to say thanks for being kind when I was still a house-elf, being a Hufflepuff is great! Anyways, I came by to say goodbye, as I cannot clean up stuff like other house-elves. I am a student now, but I will come by sometimes to grab a few snacks." Eats up all the cookies on the plate, places it back on the sink.
"Anyways, take care miss Alicia, good luck to all the house-elves around here, hope you get sorted to the houses you want!" Walks back outside with a smile.

"Hello" I say back to her as I walk into the kitchen, " You must be new here to" wooosh "I thought I was the only one". I begin to pick up a food plater and look back at NASTYpancake with a smile on my face.
