"Use Thunder Wave!" Surge said, still looking very calm. The light of the electricity was reflected in his sunglasses. Manectric darted forward, a Psybeam striking a glancing blow, and unleashed a wave of static, seemingly drawing energy from the room.
"Wow...!" Kasiya uttered, and looked admirably at her father as he raised an arm and pointed.
"Thunder!" he said, his voice strong and firm.
Manectric stood tall, once again drawing pent-up electricity from the room. It gave a cry, and unleashed a furious storm of electricity.

((O.o;; I'm so falling behind. XD))
Keegan stared out the window of a dreary Route 123. It had been raining since he'd arrived, but the Berry Master and his wife had been doing their best to cheer up the dampend spirits of the boy.
"I know what will make you feel better," the elderly man said cheerfully. "I raise berries and hand them out to everyone. You deserve one. Here!" he handed Keegan an elongated berry. "That's a Kelpsy Berry. Why not take another one?" he handed the boy another Keplsy Berry. "Flowers make everyone happy."
"Thank you," said Keegan, stowing the berries. "I really must thank you both for your kindness."
"It's no problem, my dear," said the lady. "We understand how tiresome a journey can be. You're welcome here as often as you'd like." Her smile was genuine, and Keegan smiled.
"I think I may go outside and have a look around," he said. "It looks like the rain may stop soon."
"Go ahead, dear. Don't be too long - we'll be starting dinner shortly."
"Don't worry, I'll be quick." Keegan gave a slight bow, and stepped outside.

The air outside was fresh and clean, and the rain was refreshing and cool. Keegan breathed it in, hoping it would help to wash away his troubles. Even though he wasn't a big fan of water, he didn't mind the rain, and it did seem to be letting up. He strolled along for a bit, until he came across a signpost that read 'Now entering Route 118.'
He continued along, making notes of landmarks and trees so he wouldn't lose his way. As he'd predicted, the rain stopped, and the sun was now trying to poke its way through the grey clouds.
"I wonder what kind of Pokemon live around here," he asked himself, looking around. The sound of squawking could be heard from overhead. He looked up to see a flock of Wingull soaring above him on the wind currents, and behind them were about half a dozen Pelipper.
"That's right, we crossed a river to get here," he said, chuckling to himself.
He looked around some more, and saw what appeared to be an Electrike darting into the shrubs nearby. "It's so nice here," he said quietly.

Keegan soon came upon a sandy beach, the same one they'd landed on after he'd left Mauville City with the Berry Master's wife. Their footprints had been washed away. He picked up a stick, and drew wavy lines in the sand.
"I'm sure Mitsu will be okay," he said. "She's a lot tougher than she looks."
"Are you a lot tougher than you look?" a female voice said from nearby.
Keegan jumped to his feet, the stick forgotton. "What?"
The woman laughed. She was pretty, and had short-cut brown hair and comfy, yet professional looking clothing. Behind her was a man with a TV camera.
"I'm sorry, did I startle you? My name's Gabby, and this is my partner, Ty. We travel around in search of trainers to record their exploits and get a feel of how strong they are. Do you think we'd be able to get a good feel of how strong you are?"
"Uh, I guess so...?" Keegan responded, blinking.
"Alright then. Ty, ready the camera. Cue interview! Let's go!" The pretty woman tossed two Pokeballs on the ground, revealing a Magnemite and a Whismur.
"Oh...you mean battle," Keegan laughed, feeling his cheeks redden. "I guess it's too late to back out now. Come out, guys! I'm counting on you!"
Vulpix and Electrike appeared by his feat, ready for action. Keegan grinned, getting into the battle spirit.

"Okay guys, I know you don't know each other that well, but you're going to have to learn to work together!"
Vulpix nodded, glancing at his partner. "Vul!"
Electrike looked nervous, but nodded too. "Trike!"
"Vulpix! Use Heat Wave! Electrike! Thunder Wave on Whismur!"
Since Electrike was speedier than Vulpix, it's paralysing attack struck the small pink Pokemon, and it fell over, twitching with paralysis. Electrike jumped back and Vulpix breathed a spread of intensly hot air over the opposing duo. Magnemite took double damage and staggered in the air, looking shaken up. Whismur howled in pain.
Gabby looked impressed. "Alright. Whismur! Pound on Electrike! And Magnemite! Use Thundershock on Vulpix!"
Whismur jumped up and pounded down on Electrike with its arms, while Magnemite generated an electrical shock and blasted Vulpix. Vulpix staggered, looking stunned from the hit, but Electrike bounced back and gave a sharp Tackle to the Whismur.

"Vulpix! Take down Magnemite with an Ember!" Keegan cried. He could feel a fire building up inside his chest - the excitement of battle. It was a feeling he could never get enough of. Vulpix jumped to his feet, and sprayed hot embers directly over Magnemite. It reeled in the air before falling, and being recalled by its trainer.
"Alright Whismur, it's up to you! Uproar!" cried Gabby. Whismur made a sharp howling sound that seemed to randomly strike Vulpix. The small fire fox tried to get back to his feet, but couldn't, and fell, defeated. The battle was now down to Whismur and Electrike.
"Uproar again!" called Gabby, but Whismur couldn't move.
"Get in there with Tackle!" Keegan shouted, his heart racing at the chance of a win. Electrike zipped in and rammed hard with his shoulder, only to be pounded back by Whismur. Electrike jumped up and hit with Tackle again. Keegan cheered. "You're doing great! One more Tackle should do it!"
"Pound Whismur! POUND!" Gabby yelled. Whismur tried to attack, but its body seemed to tense up again. Electrike took the opportunity to hit with Tackle, and it was the finishing move. Whismur collapsed, fainted. Electrike sat down on the sand, breathing heavily, but looking proud.

"Wow, that was intense! Did you get that on camera, Ty?" Gabby asked, not looking one bit upset that she'd lost.
"Yep, got it all. Prime footage right here." Ty patted the camera. "Great battle," he added.
"Alright. The battle has concluded. Our young trainer is victorious. What's your name?"
"Uh...Keegan...?" Keegan replied, making it sound more like a question than an answer.
"Okay. I want you to give me your feelings on the battle we just had, but it has to be short and sweet. Go!"
"Well, it was...uh, exciting..." Keegan said, not really knowing what to say at all.
"Exciting. That's good. I honestly thought I had you back there, but you showed a lot of guts. But if you're struggling against me, you have a long way to go, Keegan." Gabby put away her microphone. "There's a good chance they'll air this on TV, so keep a look out!"
Before Keegan could respond, Gabby and Ty were running off, seemingly chasing after another trainer they'd spotted out of the corner of their eye.
"That was...odd..." Keegan said, glancing at his watch. "We'd better get back, that sure ate up some time," he said. Electrike yipped. "I hope we can get to a Pokemon Center soon. Vulpix looked really hurt," he said, looking at the Pokeball. He recalled Electrike, and ran back towards Route 123.

Ryka noticed that their clothes weren't normal Rocket uniforms. She assumed that they were in disguise. So she continued her speech.
"You are Rockets, aren't you? I don't want you to hurt any innocent people, you hear? So you'll have to go through me first." Ryka spoke her mind with a scowl.
Vulpix suddenly escaped from its Pokeball. After reading the girl's mind, Vulpix telepathlically replied. 'She is a stupid little girl, isn't she?'
Ryka looked at Vulpix. "Why are you here?! Well then.." She said with an evil smile, "I guess you'll be the one fighting."
'No, I won't. I'm taking a nap.' Vulpix replied, as she layed down on the carpet.
Ryka scowled at Vulpix. "You.. you... whatever. Just get back in your Pokeball.." She sighed as Vulpix disappeared in a flash of red light.

Mitsu's eyes were still half open, she was even tempted to smite the little girl for annoying her. Her eye twictched a bit and she sat down. She rubbed her eyes till they were fully open. "Hey little girl I don't know who the heck you're calling a Rocket. If anyone were a Rocket here it'd be you for harassing INNOCENT people while they are trying to rest." Mitsu grumbled putting empahsis on the word innocent.
Mitsu would have smiled at the Vupix's comment but she didn't bother with the effort. "Well if it's a battle you want it's a battle you'll get!" She reached for her bag until she realized Nurse Joy still had her Pokemon. Mitsu growled, "You're lucky my Pokemon are in the Center resting."
She was wide awake now, her fists clenched. I'm NEVER going to get any sleep tonight am I? Mitsu wasn't exactly the nicest person to get along with when she was tired and sleepy. But then again who would be after being kidnapped and wandering gray halls for hours? She glanced back at Dante a bit.

That was it, Aura had reached her limits and slumped over, electic crackling over her body from the parylsis. "Aura. . ." Seth whispered as he recalled his fallen Pokemon.
"That Manectric of yours is srtong," Seth said with a small smile. He dug in his ivory bag for a minute holding out his trusty Pokeball. "My first Pokemon. I choose you Aero!" He called out sending the Pokemon flying to the air. A brilliant Dragonair appeared and gave a cry. It eyed the Manetric calmly. "This is our last shot Aero! Start off with Dragon Dance!" Seth commanded as the Pokemon performed it's stat boosting ritutal.

Dante who was rubbing his eye sleepily with his fist caught Mitsu looking over at him and shrugged. Personally he had no idea what was going on. Yawning a bit befor raising both hands in his own defeanse he said calmly. "Both of you calm down. Look, whoever you are. If we were Rockets then why would we be using the pokemon center instead of our own base? And why would we be sleeping on couches instead of the beds in our base? Also wouldn't we be stealing the pokemon and not sleeping?" He asked calmly. He didn't really like waking up and was a bit irritated but he didn't want to get in a fight at the moment.
