"The short version is that Kaya came in first, got attacked by Valan, who's still alive and workign with Notaro now, kicked his butt, traveled with Nona and Train deeper into the cavern, lost Brayden who got brainwashed, Kaya traded Notaro the sword fragment for the cure for Brayden and now he and te others are battling with Notaro now to try and stop however's got the sword from reforging it."
The Gallade responded as to what had happened. "Oh right, and Valahn's helping too for some reason, as are the Legendaries...and Henna, who showed up a short while ago." he added when he remembered that part might be important.

In the battle, Kaya called Shiara back and sent out Wesier. "Use your Dark Pulse on that Alakazam girl!" he called to the ghost type, who cackled and blasted a pulsating beam of shadows at the Psychic type.

"Kaya gave away the sword fragment he had?!" Chloe squeaked. "Aw man, that's not good... that means they have all the pieces now!" She could understand Kaya's desperation in the matter, he really did seem to love Brayden, so it was understandable that he would do anything to save him. But to give the enemy a fragment of the most powerful weapon in existance? Things didn't look so good...
"We'd better get going," Chloe agreed to Sasha's suggestion with a nod.
