The cooks in the room adjacent heard Pix's heckling and some angry yelling was heard. Too many cooks were firing back insults to understand what was being said.
Lucas put down his wine long enough to turn to Evacy and say, "You might not like it for now, but I'm sure you'll get used to it. Even if you still don't like it."
His confusing words of wisdom being said, he gulped down the rest of his wine and waited patiently for someone to refill his glass. He had gotten reprimanded too many times for yelling at the maids to do so nowadays.
Kai rubbed his forehead in thought. He was strangely enjoying all the new things the world above had presented, even with all the frustrations and challenges.
A small army of butlers suddenly streamed through the kitchen doors, carrying silver platters of various sizes. Many foods could be seen as they opened the trays and placed them on the table. Watermelon, grapes, quail, roast chicken, gelatin, cake, and many other tasty foods filled the table.
Lucas slammed a fist down on the table. "It's about damn time!" he yelled at the cooks with a mock angry tone, tearing into some roast chicken.
Kai couldn't help but smile at the sight of Lucas, and at all the food being placed in front of him. He served himself a bowl of gelatin happily and begun eating.

Before long Pix had put more food on his plate than he could possibly eat, but he was hungry. Not even talking he shoved as much food as he could as fast as he could and damn the consequences! He did however take the time to take a covert glance at a pretty little maid with auburn hair, maybe he was in for some fun tonight after all.

There are no such things as coincidence.Evacy noticed a particular maid, hesitating and pausing in the slightest. She hoped that the maid wasn't someone of great importance, but couldn't help but wonder who she was looking at. "I'll get used to it, or I'll turn into a bat." Evacy muttered, turning to her food. Adjusting her cap and grabbing a fresh bottle of wine, Catriona hurried out to the dining room.
As she refilled their glasses she stole glances at the dark figure she had found so familiar, meeting his eyes on one occassion and hastily looking away. By the time she finished the last glass she was so flushed she thought she would catch fire. She was making eye contact - with a guest of the castle, no less. She should be lashed.
However, as she hurried out of the room, she couldn't help but steal one last look at him, almost throwing open the door as she did so to hide the look of dawning realization that was spreading across her features.
((Oh, and Pix?
I hate you xD
In the most affectionate way possible though, of course. :'D ))

He was full, really full, bloated really. It took him a little while to actually just sit up and ask for the guest quarters, when he finally got the directions, he thanked the cooks for the meal, and Lucas for the hospitality, then made his way there.
Once he was comfortably alone, he disrobbed revealing corded muscle and scars covering most of his torso and arms, he laid down on the soft and obviously expensive bed, and let out a sigh of relief.

She did feel bad about not drinking any wine. But just the thought of it made her lurch, which wasn't a good thing on a full stomach. "If it isn't much on your...lordship," Evacy said, a tad uncertain as to how to address the Lucas. "I would also appreciate a room." There is only hitsuzen

He was gone?
But...where did he go?
She closed the door to the dining room quietly, wondering why he had left. She turned and began to discreetly ask the butlers and such - anyone who had been in there - if they had seen the tall rouge and where he had gone. When she finally discovered he had been shown to a room she saw it as her golden opportunity to question him. She remembered him, but did he remember her?
She handed off her post to one of the newer servants who she knew wouldn't giver her a hard time and slipped out of the kitchens. Up the stairs to where the quarters were located and to the designated door where she rapped quietly and opened the door without waiting for an answer or invitaion; a rude and rash mistake.

Still eating, Lucas swallowed hastily and smiled. "Oh, I'm not a Lord, that would be my boss. Just plain old Lucas is fine."
He addressed the grey-haired butler standing at the door. "Show the lady to a guest room, Gerard."
Gerard nodded and beckoned for Evacy to follow him. He led her out the door and down the hall and opened a door. Inside was a bed with velvet sheets and a rug of lion fur, and a dresser was against the wall. A window with red curtains was above the bed.
"Here you are, miss." Gerard exited quickly.
