"Well, then quicken our pace we shall. But, do not complain to me if you cannot keep up and are left behind." Sai said.
Stratus replied.
He then swooped down next to Sai and Kin. Sai swiftly leapt atop his back and the two of them soared back up towards the heavens.
Stratus responded by slightly quickening the pace of his wing beats, though still mostly gliding along, as the village fell slowly away behind and the forest stretched out before them.

"Teh, I'm in no hurry but if I must..." Kin said quietly.
Kin ordered.
Vix appeared slithering in front of Kin and waiting for further commands.
"Fuga." Kin said, casting his spell. Vix then sprouted wings with white feathers that seem to extend a good four feet. Kin then ran over the winged snake and Vix took flight, carrying Kin to the sky and brought himself beside Sai.
Kin said to Vix.

Staring down, Minatsuki and Asako flew in another wide circle before they finally began to follow Sai from the above.

I knew he'd come up with something..."Vix must have extraordinary strength and stamina, to be able to carry you." Sai called out to Kin, "I would have cast bigger wings I think..." Stratus asked.

"Vix does what he is required to do and I do what I am required to do. That's all." Kin replied firmly.
Kin's golden eyes scanned the forest and then glanced over at Sai and then to Minatsuki. I still don't know what to make of what might happen with these two. In a few more days I think I will have a good understanding of what their abilities and goals are.

"Hmm..." Sai responded.
((Hope you guys don't mind, but I'm going to skip ahead a bit.))
Hours later the three continued to fly along. The sun was just settling against the horizon behind them. ((The sun in this world rises in the north and sets in the south, due to a geographical error I made in my first post...)) Sai had been lazily daydreaming for most of the trip and when his boredom peaked he had taken one of his spellbooks from his pack and began to peruse and review. He had then began to discuss battle strategy with Souun.
Sai looked around and noticed the sun halfway below the horizon at this point.
"Hey, guys!" Sai called out, "We should land and set up camp for the night!"
He then directed Stratus to land in clearing only a short ways away. ((They are still within, or above as the case me be, the forest north of the village they just left. They are nearing the end of the forest and the start of the grasslands though.)) He dismounted once they were on solid ground and stood, waiting for the others to land.

Kin followed Sai and jumped off of Vix nearly still 20 feet from the ground and landed softly to the ground. Vix's wing spell then vanished and he slithered underground. Kin sat down where he landed and folded his arms.

"We should probably build a fire. You wanna collect rocks or wood?" Sai asked of Kin once he had joined him on the ground.
((I'm accepting new people now. I just accepted one, she's in the profiles already if you want to look. And I'm going to be accepting two more as they come in...))

((Argh sorry for late/short post. Crazy life.))
Asako waved her large wings as she landed with a whirlwind on the ground.
"If you bring back some wood, you can leave the fire to Asako."
Minatsuki said as she jumped off the pheonix's back. Looking around, Minatsuki rested her hand on her hips and cocked her head to the side.
"How long till the next village?"

Kin nodded and headed away from the clearing into thicker wood.
Something feels out of place...
Kin told Vix.
Vix asked.
Kin replied as he extracted his claws from his gauntlets and slashed at a tree several dozen times, leaving deep cuts into the tree. It quickly fell to the ground with a loud cracking noise and Kin went to work on slashing it into small peices to carry back with.

((I'm going to pretend that Kin told Sai and Mina that he was going for wood...))
Sai also headed into the deeper woods, in the opposite direction. He stopped several times to collect rocks of roughly double the size of his own fists. He precariously balanced these in one arm and then returned to their would-be camp and dropped them in the center of the clearing. He left again and collected another armload of rocks. This time when he returned to the camp he stopped and arranged the stones in a circle.
He stepped back and admired his handiwork, "There," He said to Minatsuki and Asako, "And when Kin returns with the wood you two can start the fire."

((Sorry, I assumed you two were going to talk for awhile so I was going to have Kin do both. Blah...))
Kin gathered a large amount of the neatly cut wood blocks and carried them over his shoulders back to where they would set up camp. He carried them to the circle of setup stones and dropped the pile into the center of it. "Want more?" Kin asked out loud to whoever wanted to answer.

"It'd be good to have some extras for the night. Asako's flames burn faster than regular fire."
Minatsuki answered, approaching the fireplace and arranging the woods so that it would burn better. Picking up one of the smaller branch, Minatsuki walked over to Asako, and held the branch closer to her wing. The branch quickly caught on fire, and Minatuski carried the branch back over to the fireplace and lit several place on the logs to get the fire started.

"I will be gone for awhile then." Kin said quietly and walked off into a random direction.
Kin said to Vix.
Vix replied.
Kin continued to think about it as he walked into a more dense area of trees, disappearing from the camp site's view.
((Sorry my posts have been getting terrible... I have been like... Only been able to think about my school work.. So sorry... -.-))

"Ahh..." Sai said as he sat down against a log near the fire. Stratus was laying on the ground directly behind and beside him, slightly wrapped around the log Sai sat against. He lay with his tail curved around and his head on his forelegs. His head twitched. He thought.
Sai said and let his right hand drop to rest on the handle of his sword while he set his staff aside with his left.
<100 meters at most. Less probably.>
Several minutes later the sound of a body pushing and crunching through the brush, opposite from the direction that Kin had gone. A few more minutes after that and two young men, both slightly older than Sai in appearance, entered the clearing.
One of the two was fairly tall and had shaggy blue hair, most likely the result of some kind of charm, which was mostly tucked under a simple green hat ((like a beanie, kinda...)). He had blue eyes and a neatly trimmed beard ((goatie, with sideburns)), also blue. His garb was simple gray trousers, tunic, and boots, with a gray jacket. the trousers and jacket had green patches at the knees and elbows. He wore a leather belt with a few pouches on it and wore a straight sword in a sheath at his waist, there was a green binding stone set into the pommel.
The other was even more plainly dressed. He was shorter than the first and dressed in a dark brown cloak with the hood up that covered him entirely other than his face. What could be seen of his face revealed a clean shaven face with sharp features and dark intelligent eyes. He wore his hair short, maybe an inch or two long. He carried a traditional casters staff of gnarled wood.
Sai stood and fully faced them his hand still resting on the handle of his sword in what could be perceived as a casually relaxed position. Stratus rose to all fours and turned his head to face them as well.
"Hello..." Sai said to the two strangers.
"Ah, Competitors." Said the taller of the two as he noticed the stone at Sai's neck.
"Yes, I believe you are right." Said the shorter to the taller. He then turned to face Sai. "Competitor, we challenge you."
"Yeah, that's nice, but I'm not going to combat both of you at once." Sai said monotonously.
"Then choose a partner." Said the taller again. "There is a woman right there with a binding stone. She can be your partner."
Stratus thought.
Sai turned to Minatsuki and shrugged at her with an exasperated expression on his face.
