Well today was a good day, today for Caden he had gotten a day off, each guard gets a day off but it's not like they get it every week, all the guards are placed into small groups and it takes a while for them to get to a certain group but today was the day that this particular guard had gotten his free day off. So with a small smile Caden felt like just taking a walk, he was dressed for duty but he just wasn't going to go to it today, but he still had a right to do his job if he had to, he wasn't going to force his authority for no good reason because that would he stupid and he would get into trouble.

So with a small smile on his face and a little beat to his step Caden was walking down the street just like any other normal person would do, he just wanted to spend his free time to enjoy a little walk, got nothing else better to do. Though as he made his way around the city he happened to notice that there was a group of people working on a shop, redoing the roof, walls, etc; so with a small smile he offered his services, it would help pass the time and it was still early in the day, he could always rest later.

She glanced around as they hit outside, the sun smacking her full in the face and she had to shield her eyes for a moment, blinking. She was definitely not used to having that ball of fire around all the time. Her gaze turned to the dragon. "I don't remember yours. Are we even then?" She winced when she heard the bite in her own tone and shook her head. "I'm sorry, I don't know why I'm being so rude to you. Do you plan to use it for some purpose or is it just curiosity?"

Eilynne suddenly cocked her head and listened then chirped once more. The gift beckons to me... Oh yes, she sensed it. She listened and then leaped from his shoulder, transforming into a panther in mid-air and as her claws skittered on the cobblestones, she began to growl. Turning instantly, her head cocked, ears erect, she hunkered down then leaped right on top of Hunter, fangs poised to take a hunk out of his throat. Lycear...his bag.

She glanced back for a moment and laughed. "Is too!" Thus she headed forwards once again. She'd turned nearly too late and had to swerve wildly to miss one of those dilapidated pillars which threw her off balance and her wing smacked into it anyway. Her balance completly off now, she was sent skittering and tumbling until she slammed into a leg of the table the playset rested on, shaking it mightily. "...ow..."

Hunter got toppled over, but not without his wits about him, his grip on the bag tightened, and his other hand pushed a dagger sharply against the things underbelly.

"First you give commands on my ship, and now you try your fangs at me I should gut you were you sit right now. what's mine is mine, found fair and square."

well lets see...could we impale this thing before it ripped his throat out? might be real close call there. and her escort was going to be a real pain in the a** he was sure. wonder if bribery would work. he had nice shiny gold coins after all.

"I didn't expect you to." He gave her the simple answer and led her down the walls of the ramparts and more fully into the city's bowels. Kaz knew how much she must have resented him about the capture of her friend and he wasn't prepared for any forgiveness or gratitude either. "It would be rude to call anyone 'the prisoner's friend' and I'm sure you would not appreciate it either. But if you would rather not tell me, I understand." And if she so chose, he would keep to the formalities. As they approached the market bazaar, he held up his arms to shield her from certain stares of aggression. "But you can call me Kaznec."

Bad things happening...he was never going to get to this elf's little trouble. But he promptly followed after the creature even as she changed, after all...panther running around pouncing people was going to upset a lot of the city folk...not somethign they were used to cheering for, more of you know..killing and probably eating.

Didn't take him long to catch up and quite easily he walked up to the pair. One boot stepped down on Hunter's wrist of the hand that held the bag, making fingers release and he picked it up, as his tail snaked around the dagger hand, holding the whole arm still and immobilized. Ah dragon strength sometimes. Waiting for the Laerethe to back off, he hauled the pirate up by his wrist and help him off the ground by his tail. "Captain Hawk...I see you're back in Ilindal." Hm, why was she so interested in him now?

Though his thoughts were momentarily derailed as the ground rumbled under his feet...softly at first before it was enough to mess even his balance and he had to flare out his wings to keep it as the ground shoot, toppling various things off thier centers of balance, even a place or two more or less collapsing on itself. Damn it, another one of those occurances...thankfully though the shaking died down once more. Lucky Hunter, he was held off the ground.

He pushed himself up and a quick series of clip clops got him over to his sister here he was helping her her. He wasn't worried about her hitting her head on the table, curved back horms acted like helmets for thsoe two. "Is your wing okay?" Looking at the playset a moment as it stopped shaking, the only damage being a few buildings knocked over on it and the like.

He paused a moment as the city had started to shake. God damn it, what were they doing? He knew that wasn't a normal earthquake...no breaks in the ground and such, no real disturbance in the sands outside. A smirk and he flared his wings, letting himself out the city again. Children...should of eaten them.

Well damn son of a....

"Well it is such a nice place to hang around. besides, I had to get some replacement parts."

crew, parts...interchangable components. though a point at the bag.

"That's mine. Found it fair and square out in the ruins. I was going to sell it...but if you would like for the city to donate for it I'm listening."

She had changed again though into a mouse this time that was steadily taking bites out of Hunter. The shaking had startled her and she'd reacted with the same fear instinct as the animal she was currently in, thus digging and biting around his neck to make her way to safety. Coming back into control, she reformed into her original form and shook her head. "Evil is about Lycear, guard yourself from what you cannot see. This one has many problems. He respects nothing but himself and does not heed warnings. Where did you find your treasure pirate?"

Kaznec, that was his name. She'd been close...sort of. "I'd prefer you not call me that, reminding me of my friend's sad fate. My name is Shyrae." A shake of her head and she crouched as the ground began to shake almost immediately. "What was that?!" Earthquake? Glancing down at the ground, she prepared to jump and grab Kaznec just in case. She watched buildings shake in their foundations and one right near them began to cave in on itself raining debris down. Adrenaline raced down as bricks began falling and she shoved him. "Watch out!" She grabbed him by the arm and translocated quicky across the square, watching as the building toppled right onto the spot they had just been standing.

She glanced at it and fluttered it for a moment, then nodded. "I think so." Handing him teh dragon, she stood up and brushed herself off. "I'm sorry. Here, you can play with the dragon." Then a glance up as a bell began to ring. "Uh-oh...Daddy's coming..."

"you didn't warn. you demanded. and you gave me no incentive to follow anything. I look out for my well being, that, if you didn't know, is how you survive outside of city walls. but what would you know about that, you're kind hasn't been around here in what? decades? centuries now?"

glancing between them both.

"Why should I say? what value is some rainbow hued glass that I should give up where I find it? what if there's more there, and I lose out on it because the city guard commandeers it?"

Well there Caden was, working on the roof with some other guys, they were working on the it since the owner was complaining about water getting through. So as the others worked on the inside Caden kept himself busy on the top, shifting the singles in order to fit them perfect. Though he and another working were close to the edge of the roof when the earthquake hit, the building shook violently and before they could do a thing both men were sent over the edge without a word.

For a split second Caden was airborne, his body was suspended above the hard surface they called the ground and soon he knew he would be meeting it, but the other guy was pretty close to him so with his protecting instinct kicking in he quickly reached out and grabbed him, pulling him close and into a hug. Lucky for Caden the guy was a little smaller than him so his body would protect the fellow. So as quick as they were pitched off the two of them were sent straight down, gravity had a way of doing that. But what they didn't know was that a cart was beneath them, usually it should be full of hay but it wasn’t right now. So when they landed in the cart the combined weight of the two men caused the cart tip down into it's unloading position and they fell out. Of course by then the earthquake stopped and people were rushing to them to see if they were alright. "I'm fine just bruised probably but fine..check on other people around the area to see if they are alright." Still doing his job, even if it is his day off.

Lycear grumbled a few things under his breath...he was getting too old for some of this and it wasn't pleasant to see things around him. Upset beings...ruined buildings...another mess to clean up to add on top of everything else. "Finders Keepers again?" A chukle at that. Humans and thier little sayings were either quite profound or quite amusing. Opening the bag, he emptied it's contents out into his hand...was nice to have two free hands when your tail could act as a third. "Don't speak so rashly, Captain."

Gold eyes widened some and he turned a look to the Captain. "Found them in the ruins?" Putting them back into the bag, he duely handed them down to Eilynne and then set Hunter back down on his feet, letting his tail uncurl from around the mans' wrist. "Donate indeed. Any supply and part you ,need at his pareticular time, is yours in bringing those here." Most humans didn't know what the Orb had looked like...so most were ignorant.

"That's good." Didn't need to be getting hurt. It just wasn't a good thing at all." Taking the dragon, he held it a moment to his chest, watching her get up with that concerned look about himself. Ears twitched as well and then he looked over to where the door opened and in walked daddy, folding his wings over his shoulders. "We didn't do anything bad."

A grunt as he walked into the place, throwing down one bag that happened to slide under what used to be a stone pew, and the other didn't slide as far, still visible. "I see you two are up and playing already." Walking over to the playset, noting the little broken buildings. Reaching in he picked out the pieces, throwing them on the floor and picked up the crystal shards left behind, pocketing them for now.

Stepping over to the children he grabbed up the hooved one by one thing curved back horn, walking over to his usual seat and picking up the bag in passing. Plopping the child across his knee, he fished out a copper plated shoe, some nails and a hammer.

Uh oh, he wasn't a happy little mixed creature. Sure, beign carried by his horns was a normal thing for both of them, they merely learned to scrunch themselves up so they didn't it on anything till they were put down. But he didn't like the way he was put down or the items drawn out. Getting shoes put on wasn't pleasant for him. Thus a little whine noise and grabby hands for his sister.

His mind had barely registered her name when the earth shook just as it had last month and they had to rebuild the old temple. Though he was surprised at her sudden reflexes as they were shifted to the other side of the square. But he was more focused on the potential damage caused by the earthquake itself and quickly lifted her into his arms, extending his wings and took to the sky, hovering a few feet above the highest of the buildings to survey the scene. His eyes spotted the roof collapse though and when the shakes had subsided, he descended back to the ground and set Shyrae down. "Thank you for that." Moving over to the collapsed building, he helped a few of the people back up and headed over to the human guard. "Raynes, find all available healers in the area. If there are more serious injuries, report them to me." This shake had been one of the worst ones, and all they could do was fix up the buildings again and prepare for the next bout of natural disasters.

She filed that away and then stared down at the human for a moment. "Once again you speak on what you cannot possibly know. Your ignorance is astounding and you do not consider anything worthy of your respect, not even yourself though you feel otherwise." A shake of her head and she took the bag, glancing down within and eyeing the shards. There were more, she was certain of it. And now she was almost positive that it was going to have to be destroyed. That earthquake had just about confirmed it.

"I can easily glean the location from you, human, but I will not do that. I would much rather you tell me because you wish to use what good you have left. Think carefully before you make your decision, my warning from before has not expired."

She was in the process of dusting herself off when she was picked up and they started to fly. She loved flying almost more than she loved living. Often when she was training a winged creature, it would be taught to take her out flying where she could be free. Spyrit was good for that as well. But this was no time to enjoy the feeling of coursing through the air since they were in the middle of a crises. She regained her feet moments later and merely nodded. "You are welcome." Though her eyes lit up with fear and she glanced towards the tower. "Savvy!" Glancing around, she yelled, "I can help. My mother was a healer." But she needed to make sure Savvy was alright first, thus sprinting towards the tower. She pulled out her linkstone and activated it. "Savvy! Are you alright?!"

She watched her father stalk in and wondered if he'd be angry about the little event that had just occurred. But apparently he was busy working on granting the request from earlier. Never a good position to be in... She watched her brother squirm and quickly took off, fluttering her wings for a moment before she took to hovering a few feet off the ground then hissed. Maybe she had messed something up back there...but right now her brother needed her. She sprinted over to him, taking his hands for a moment then handing him her tail to squeeze. "It's okay."

Caden quickly got onto his feet and he sighed a little, god damn that fall got him good, rolling his shoulder he felt it pop and paused, did he dislocated it? no it was still stuck in it's socket so he was good. "Welcome to Ilindal everyone...home of the monthly earthquakes." That got a sort laugh from him and a few nervous laughs from the others, everyone knew this one was serious, it was probably the worse one they had so far. Sighing lightly he fetched his cloths after the man he saved gave his thanks, all Caden said in return was that he was happy the man was alright and then to go get some help.

So when Commander Kaznec came around Caden was done putting back his shirt on, after all working on the roof as it when into the afternoon begged for a man to go bare chested for a bit. Anyway it was time to leave his day off, probably the others would too all hands were needed now, and get to work. His job was simple when the commander told him what to do and gave a small nod once the order was given out. "Yes Commander I'll get right on it." Though by then he saw the drow from yesterday, he gave a light nod to her as a hello before he heading off, there should be a few healers around. Though it didn't take him long enough to find three and gave them simple orders, heal anyone who is injured. Then it was off to try and find anyone who was injured, as well as make the list of injured, couldn't forget about that.

well well. that certainly was a turn of events. pocketing his knife.

"Yes...farthest ruins north by northwest. found them in a dank long since abandoned room...along with a large chest of other things. so this glass is something pretty important and valuable is it?"

One of those little conniving grins forming already.

"and seeing it's condition leads me to believe that these are pieces of something bigger. So...any supplies or parts, hmmm? So lets say...if I needed another crewmember and had a particular person in mind, they'd be handed over to me?"

Savvy was sitting in the middle of the floor, arms crossed and glaring. Well...there were things all over the floor and stuff was moved, she knew because she had tripped over several things already and was not a happy elf. About the worse part of being mostly blind....the moment someone moved something and you had memorized it another way...you were screwed. But the linkstone she carried was pulled from her pocket. "I'm fine. Disoriented, but fine."

He slanted a glance to Hunter. "I didn't say I'd put someone into slavery, Captain Hawk. Give me a list of what you shall be gathering and I shall pay for your expenses." If anyone knew Lycear, they knew he wasn't easily swindled, if ever. But a look to the creatue beside him. "Though you are right about that M'lady...pirates are selfish." Turning eyes back to Hunter. "I would tell you it wise to not search for what may cause you more harm than good.

Sure it didn't take but a few minutes of him trying to be still and holding onto his sister for comfort as each cloven hoof was fitted with a new shoe that would last longer but still had the nice look of his old ones. And duely he was set down by his horn once more. Once set there he latched to his sister and merely sat there...nope not going to stand on those yet.

"See, I told you I would get him new shoes. No more complaining of that." Reaching into the bag and pulling out a bread roll for each of them. Then he withdrew what looked like a water dwelling creature of some sorts. "Here...I've brought you two a present."
