how could anyone disaggree with aeris dying in FFVII I mean you spend a good portion of the game learning about her character and then out of nowhere she gets freaking stabbed through the chest by like a 12 ft long sword...

The saddest scenes: Aeris' Death...The ending in FFX where Auron and Tidus both fade away in the end...
A little off the subject but...Aeris could have made the Ruby and Emerald Weapon battles easier through her final limit break the Great Gospel...and yet she had to die.

I'm definately going to have to say the flashback with Locke and Rachel (his deceased girlfriend) is one of the two saddest scenes in Final Fantasy for me. The other is the ending of X. The whole thing. From where Yuna and Tidus have to say farewell for good (or so we think until X-2, God-d*mmit it all...), to when the final pyrefly flies past a black screen of his speech.
I cried so hard at X's ending. VI just left me feeling uber sad and almost cried, but I didn't 'cause I was a little kid and didn't entirely understand until I played through it again (one of many, many play agains) as an adult. But by then I was so used it that it really couldn't bring any tears out of me. Still very depressing none-the-less...

I've played a lot of Final Fantasy games... And I couldn't think of anything sadder...atleast graphically is when Aeris died. But! The most emotion I felt is when at the end of Final Fantasy Tactics....SPOILER...

Is when Delita Kills Ovelia. I mean after he marries her and everything and then on her birthday kills her! I know I probably didn't have to do the spoiler thing. I mean who HASN'T beaten that game yet? It's been out for years and now they are doing a re-make for the psp. Yes the whole Aeris dying was sad and I bawled my eyes out, but when He killed Ovelia... I wanted to jump right in and kill him myself! scream

I thought the ending of Final Fantasy X was the saddest part of every video game. The whole scene was sad cry

I find Yuna's speech in the end of ffx to be really sad, i cried(my bro laughed at me sad ).
Then would be Aerith's death, it wasn't the scene, it was just that she died.
when I beat my other games I'll probably post more lol.

Ok, change that, it wasn't just Yuna's speech the entire thing had my crying, it was sad at first, and I cried a bit. But after the speech I was bawling.

actually, aeris death was not sad at all. because you can get her again..
for me, the ending of FFX is the saddest scene ever.. poor Lady Yuna.... huhu

The saddest scene for me is in FF-X when Tidus is fading away and Yuna runs to him but she goes straight trough him and falls and lays there for a while , then he hold her and his fading , then he leaps all that together must have been painful for her thats why she my favorite characyer so strong , to see her lover fade before her eyes...sad......

SPOILER!! (For anyone who hasn't beaten Final Fantasy 9....)
for me......would have to be.....two different times.....of course when Aeries died is the biggest one for me.....but when you see Zidane try and save Kuja at the end of FF9.....it was just really sad for me.....finally love is expressed and Kuja dies practically in his arms......

hilight:i thought it was sad wen Shuyin and Lenne were shot, and Tidus and Yuna in Yuna's nightmare, and in the end of FFX wen yuna told tidus she lovd him (because they cant be together since hes from Zanarkand and all)
kingdom hearts also has some sad scenes
