OK, I'm back for a little while... time to bring in the welcom wagon.
@Sirius: Man, Revenga can't be one of my favorite songs cuz it's the only SoaD song that I STILL havn't learned by heart (mainly because its alot of quick 5 sylable things in a row... I just can't remember all of them). It's okay about the Steal This Album thing, I don't have STA OR Self-Titled.... but then again I live in a little hole in the wall and the only place you can go get CDs is about an hour away.... stare
@bartimaeus: BYOB huh? If you like that then go listen to: Basically the entire Self-Titled album, Deer Dance, Forest, Shimmy, Psycho, Innervision, Bubbles, Nuguns, I-E-A-I-A-I-O, Thetawaves, Cigaro, Radio/Video, and Violent Pornography (phew). Those all have the fast, slightly poppy sound of BYOB, and you won't be called a n00b for talking about it mrgreen
Welcome All!

Yo. I didn't properly introduce myself before making a new thread, so here I am. Name's Phil, or Mitani, whichever you prefer. Because of the new CD coming out, I've been on a nonstop SOAD-listening spree. I guess you could say I'm obsessed with them right now.

Greetings! I've just joined (duh). I enjoy looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub, eating seeds as a pass-time, playing Russian Roulette everyday (a man's sport!) with a bullet called life, and... By the way... Mr. Jack is on the side of the freeway in the car. I just thought I'd let you know. And he's waiting for his girl. Well, to get this out of the way, my c**k is much bigger than yours. Some have called me obsessed. Okay, a LOT have called me obsessed. I attended their concert September 28 in Grand Rapids, where they filmed the Hypnotize video. Unfortunately, I'm not in the video, though the people who drove me there are in it, if you frame-by-frame it. At the concert, it was as if I was in a phenomenal surreality, and my only complaint is that it had to end. I spent about $130 on souvenirs, and wore one of my shirts in my senior pictures. I'm sixteen, a senior in a Northern Lower Michigan high school, and Serj is my favorite. I'm a vegetarian, so when I found out that he is, too, of course I was excited. He's also a political activist, and a pro-peace kind of guy. Plus, he's uber-hot. All four members are. In my town, I'm the System of a Down Guru. If anyone in my town wants to know anything about SoaD, they ask me. And I like it that way. I have all of their official CDs, as well as the Denmark promotion "single" that includes Marmalade. I've shared the addiction with at least two friends, who are now huge fans of them as well.
I wonder if this Mezmerize/Hypnotize thing isn't a hint that there are subliminal messages in their music, pulling us all in. Not that I'm complaining. The SoaD addiction is an addiction worth having, and quite a satisfying drug-free high.
You can call me Eden, Elf or Syntriel. Or, if you feel the need, Mr. Jack. Yes, I'm a girl, so what? Well, my tapeworm tells me what to do. My tapeworm tells me where to go. Pull the tapeworm out of your a**! Before it's too late! Because you know, it says that it wants to be with you out of love, but once you bond, all it does is nag, nag, nag. Don't fall under its spell... Tapeworms are control freaks.
Well, I'm going to go behind the Staples Center, where you can see the dire poor avenging disgrace. The peaceful-loving youth of the brutality, a plastic existence. Pushing little children with a fully automatic, they like to push the weak around! (Bastards) So, farewell!
(By the way, when your moon is fake, and your mermaids cry, do you ever believe you were stuck in the sky?)

Hi, I'm Yukihiro Otani. I joined because System of a Down is my favorite band. I own all of their albums except their first, and the wait until Hypnotize comes out is slowly making me go insane. 2 days!
A few of my favorite SOAD songs are: Sugar Violent Pornography Sad Statue Prison Song Toxicity Psycho Aerials Science Boom!

Um let's see...
The name is Fluffy <<(Not really but yeah) And SOAD happens to be my favorite band, and has been since Toxicity was released.
I play the electric & acoustic guitars (one year now) and have learned over fourty SOAD songs. I haven't tried to learn any of Hypnotize's (Excluding Hypnotize itself) but plan to eventually.
You can check my profile out for a Semi-System of a Down theme, not quite finished though.
