"Itadakimasu!" Tori said also, then dug into her ramen. "This really is the best ramen around. I heard this place has been run by the same family for generations."

Anekio nodded. "They all must be in love with ramen." She smiled, wondering if there were secret ingridents to make Ichikaru's ramen so good and stand out from the rest.

After awhile Kei finally hit the center of the last target. "Yatta!" He jumped around a bit in his excitement, then stopped as his stomach rumbled. "Uh, hungry already." I guess that's what happens when I only eat one bowl of ramen before training. After collecting his senbon, Kei headed back into the village to get more food. When he got to Ichikaru's, he noticed two jounin sitting there talking and eating. I wonder if one of them is my new Sensei? He took a seat a few away from the two women then placed his order.
"I think that boy's your other Genin." Tori said as she leaned closer to Anekio. After a moment she recognized him and smiled. "He's the one who likes to set the firecrackers off in the womans bath."

Anekio's onyx eyes landed on the boy, her lips twitching into a smirk. "Oh, so he's the one that ruined my bath the other day." She snickered lightly, "I hope he doesn't think he'll get away with it on my watch." She looked at Tori, smiling. "So have you met a genin of your own yet?"

She shook her head. "No, as of right now, I'm free." Tori said then pushed her empty bowl to the side. "I wonder why the Hokage called me if I don't have someone to teach? I could use my time to train my birds..." she looked at the boy again, studying his features. "He looks like a Sarutobi..."
Kei pretended to be absorbed in his meal but was paying close attention to the two jounin. Every now and then he caught a word and got the feeling they were talking about him. He snuck a glance at them and saw one of them looking at him, then quickly looked back at his food.

"I'd rather you teach the troublesome kids so I can find a compainion other than Itachi-san's picture." She smiled, looking back at Kei. "Aw..Look he's shy." She snickered, nodding in agreement when Tori said he looked like a Sarutobi.

Ran had returned to the apartment and set the fan down. She then noticed the note from Mai-lin and read it. "Spar, huh?" She murmered to herself. Picking up the fan she'd purchased, again, she went into the kitchen. Finding an outlet, she set it by the fridge and opened up the cooling-box. Turning the fan on, she gave a slight sigh as the cold air brought to her by the fan blew against her.
After standing there for a while, Ran closed the fridge after snagging the rest of her food, and disappeared back into the other room. Sitting on the bed that was in front of the doorway to the kitchen, she ate as some of the breeze of the fan tugged at her hair. Maybe I dont really want to ask the Hokage to move me back... It's obvious the want to return to Kirigakure isnt great, as I havnt even made a move to go see if I can return there... she thought.

"I wouldn't mind too much. I hate it when things get boring." Tori smiled then. "How about we give him a little test? I'm curious to see if he inherited anything from his family, especially his grandfather. Asuma-Sensei was a great man. I just wish I'd known him better before he died."
Hearing his grandfathers name, Kei flinched. Grandpa.... He paid for his ramen and slowly headed back towards the training grounds. Maybe someday I'll make dad proud and be as strong as you, grandpa. I just wish...you were still alive.

Anekio nodded her head in agreement. "Hey kid! Come here a minute!" She shouted, waving her hand his direction before he managed to get out. "We wanna talk to you, 'kay?"

Kei stopped and made a face before slowly turning around. Because it was a Jounin, he had no choice but follow orders. "Hai, Sensei?" He was a bit nervous as he walked over to them, Am I in trouble for something?

Anekio gave him a soft smile, reassuring him that he wasn't in trouble. "Me and my friend here, Tori-san, wanted to ask you something."

Kei relaxed a little at Anekio's smile. "Um, yeah? Is there something that you need?"
Tori smiled. "We got a report saying that a Sound-nin has been spotted at the edge of the village. How would you like to go and investigate for us?"
His eyes widened a bit. "Me? But I'm only a Genin. Shouldn't you do it?"
She shook her head. "Don't worry. We believe that this person too is only a Genin, Chuuin at most."

Anekio nodded. "Besides, Otogakure-nin usually aren't talented, kid. No worries." She stood up from her stool, making sure her kunai were there, even though she had a katana. "Hey Tori, you think Orochimaru-Teme's still alive?"

Tori visibly shuddered. "Kami, I hope not. I think I saw him once when I was younger. Gave me nightmares for a week." She looked at Kei. "Go look around outside the south gate and you should find him."
He swallowed but nodded his head. "Okay!" He then turned and ran off, a grin on his face. Nows my chance to show everyone my strength!
Tori giggled and looked at Anekio, "So, do you want to be the Sound-nin or should I?"

Mai-lin sighed as she sat down, pulling her bag closer to her. She whistled and Himi came running, panting as she moved closer to the Inuzuka. The dog lay down next to the dark haired girl who was also panting. "O-ok, Himi-chan. Break for food." She pulled out some dog food for the dog, pouring it into a bowl and setting it down in front of Himi. She then pulled out a few rice balls and started eating them, finishing one abut the same time Himi finished her bowl of food.
