That would depend entirely on what is considered a section... We always classify our cellos and bass as the same section

We have three trombones..... one is a freshman and the other had switched from percussion, before that had switched from being on guard, before that had switched from Bass Clarinet, before that she was a clarinet...... She is a junior and plays a lot of instruments. Then there's me.

there used to be six, and i liked it like that, two for each part, but then this guy that noone likes showed up and now its uneven> stressed

Our band is small, and it's getting smaller sad There's 7 flutes, 2 trombones, only one euphonium, anf less than 5 trumpets. The clarinets that we do have all suck/blow, and there is an uncomfortable excess of saxaphones and percussionists. Our band bombs!!! crying I miss band camp, where the players are good and we study theory properly...

3 horns. It is nice to be a small section and not be so lonely, and still have enough firepower to be heard blaring in the band. xD
It also makes sectionals very fun, and all the things we can do due to our small size.

in my section theres only 3 of us (trombones) 2 tenor sax 1 bari sax 1 baritone 2 base clarients 1 tuba 10 trumpets 9 flutes 8 clarients 4 purcussion & 1 french horn (we're only in 7th grade O.o)

ok well in my middle school we had at least 50 clarinets in my section sweatdrop
and then in high school it dropped to a good 25 to 30. but still. big section is big... o.o

Well, we were a 4A band last season and we had a whole 3 tuba section! The mellophones outnumbered us crying , there was even a 3A band who had 5 tubas! stare pathetic year for me to be the section leader (fyi, 2 boys and me make things a bit different)

Pretty good for a high school, I guess.
