Well, it depends on how you play the game that will determine who Cloud spends more time with.

SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T FINSISHED THE FIRST DISK

Personally, I think Cloud and Tifa would have a good chance at getting together. Honestly, I have a hunch it was the fact that he was injected with jenova cells or whatnot to attract him to Aeris, because after, all, he said he wasn't interested in older girls to his mom. All this love after she died I think was just the fact that Cloud was mourning her and felt guilty for her loss. Then again, Aeris was a bit annoying, needed a big man to protect her, and she decided to make it Cloud, and maybe he liked it because he felt "loved" in a sense...which is probably why he feels so guilty for not protecting her from Sephiroth. He also must appreciate Aeris' help, which could be thought of as "love". But hey, that's just me.

I think Cloud liked Aeris most

Again I stand by my opinion that Cloud and Aeris seemed to have more of a connection, but I must say you argument of Cloud's attraction to Aeris have some good points such as Cloud's guilt and mourning could have easily miscued judgement into his deeper original feelings. However, there are two things that have stuck my curiousity with your theory.

Please explain why Cloud being injected with JENOVA cells would have anything to do with his attraction to Aeris? JENOVA was not an Ancient... in fact, JENOVA tricked them in a plot to exterminate them. If the cells had interfered with his feelings in such a way then wouldn't he have felt more repelled towards her.

Secondly, I never did understand the concept of people calling her a damsiel. The situations that she calls for help are situations any person of her build and skill with common sense (at least in my opinion) would call for it. With the bodyguard situation, you don't have to be a social guru to see right off the bat that Cloud is the kind of man that needs his ego stroked ever once in a while... I felt that was a very charismatic way for her to get his attention. Not to mention if Aeris can be considered a damsiel then what's to say that Tifa isn't? She calls for Cloud's help and asks to be saved by him just as much if not more than Aeris and Tifa still does this despite the concept that she is more capable of taking care of herself than Aeris.

Tifa ofcourse, who couldnt resist that pixelised body of hers XD, no but seriosuly tifa cos not much use still wanting to date aeris when shes deads and yuffie....well seriously, she wanted to steal there materia and is also 6 years younger, would have never worked
