Hatori grinned. By the end of the night, he had eaten a good portion of the platter and had one and a half full glasses of wine. He had made sure throughout the entire night that Akira had been comfortable and he refused to let a smile slip off of his face - except, of course, when he was eating. With each word, with each formation of the lips to pronounce that word, each mannerism, each smile, Hatori found that he loved this man more and more. Eventually, the waitor brought in the bill. Hatori deliberately hid the amount from Akira's sight...If he saw how much it cost for the both of them to simply eat dinner, he would have a heartattack, and Hatori didn't have any defibrulators with him...He placed a check in the bill and handed it back to the waitor, then turned back to Akira, smiling.

Hatori smiled and stood, offering his date his hand. "You don't want to know, Akira-kun." He said quietly, his blue eyes twinkling. "Are you ready? Or would you like dessert? I can call him back and tell him to add dessert to the bill, if you like. Or we can go somewhere else. It is entirely up to you."

[ok, me too, then. i'll just take a nap.]

Hatori smiled at him. He was an awful cook, anyways, and he didn't mind the thought of Akira being in his condo...Hatori blushed when Akira clutched onto his arm, but he smiled. Hatori walked out of the room, ignoring all the looks that the pair of them acquired. He led Akira out of the restaurant and took his umbrella back from the doorman. He opened it above the both of them and then smiled his beautiful smile to his date. "Where is this place you want to go?"

Hatori smiled and, before he could stop himself, he took Akira's waist and kissed him passionately. Akira made him feel so strong, as though he could take on the world...He didn't really care that the people in the crepe store were staring, or that he had dropped the umbrella and now they were both being coated with rain. All he saw, all he was aware of, was Akira. He tightened his grip on Akira's waist, pulling their bodies close together.

Hatori smirked as he saw his lover's blush and merely walked into the shop with him. Outside, the umbrella rested on the concrete, being bombarded with the rain, completely and totally abandoned. Hatori held onto Akira's hand and walked up to the counter, blinking slightly at the selection of crepes. Blinking slightly, he looked over at Akira. He had no idea what to get..."To be honest, Akira-san....I've never had a crepe before....what should I get?" He called him 'Akira-san' even still, not being sure what Akira wanted to be called.

Hatori smiled. "Ok, Aki-chan..." He watched Akira order and wondered what he should get. He looked over at Akira and leaned over to kiss him. "Why don't you order for me, Aki-chan?" He looked back around and noticed a couple who sat in the corner of the store. His eyes narrowed as he noticed the woman's hands. They were shaking....She didn't seem to notice, since she looked quite preoccupied. Hatori waited a moment, and then saw her begin to pale. His eyes widened as he quickly diagnosed her. It was obvious to him. Hatori rushed across the room, letting go of Akira's hand, and caught her as she fell out of her chair. The man stood up, surprised, yelling at Hatori, asking him what was happening. Without response, Hatori took out a medical case from his pocket and opened it, revealing medicine marked "insulin" and a syringe. He immediately injected some into the woman and, after a few seconds, she began to respond. "You need to get her to the hospital. She has diabetes." He sat her back in her chair, turned away and began to walk away. "How did you know?" the man asked. Hatori, not wanting to reveal to someone he did not know about how he knew, responded, "I didn't." Hatori walked back towards Akira, but the man behind him was angry. He grabbed Hatori, turned him around, and landed a punch in Hatori's stomach, sending him falling to the floor. "YOU COULD HAVE KILLED HER!" He yelled. Hatori doubled over, curling around his stomach in pain.

The man fell backwards, turned around, scrambled to his feet, grabbed his friend who watched the whole exchange with wide eyes, and ran out of the shop. The man had punched Hatori rather hard in the stomach, and he was quite pale. He shuddered and then threw up a little bit onto the store's linoleum floor. He then gasped and lay there, trying to catch his breath.

The medics immediately began to attend to him. After a moment, a nurse turned to Akira. "It looks like he broke a rib....We can't tell if it punctured anything, but the way he's responded, it's most likely his lungs. He'll be fine..." She placed her hand on his reassuringly.
