As the door slammed shut at the exit of the three students, a panel of the wall snapped down revealing a small cubby hole with Paint Shot Castor Shells in a box on the shelf. The panel was narrow, and the hole disguised so that it could only be seen from an angle of 25 degrees or less.

Torrid felt the weight of the castor gun in his hand, immediately fond of it. His eyes darted around the arena cautiously, seeking a target. Finding none, he opted instead to test fire his weapon and took aim at a panel of plexi-glass hanging from the ceiling.

He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling the gun as though it was an extension of his arm, and opened them as his finger squeezed the trigger.

Having seen the panel opening from her hiding place, and not believing her luck, Jaenelle crawled, scooted, ran over to where it was.

ONE CASTOR SHELL!!! "You have got to be kidding me!" she shouted, not caring whose attention was drawn.

Grumbling, Jaenelle loaded the shell into the gun, spied Torried and just shook her head in annoyance. Might as well use the one shot.

FIRE!

Grave stepped cautiously and quietly back into the Arena. It had changed in appearance much since he'd left. Rocky terrain and new obstacles made the entire place look like some barren wilderness, and not a classroom set-up. He spied Torrid and with a quick grin, he loaded one of the shells Aysel had given him and aiming took a careful shot at Torrid's back.

Ubel crept into the Arena carefully, grinning broadly as he spotted Grave in the midst of firing at Torrid. His gun was lifted silently, loaded, then fired - bang! - right at Grave's back.

Grave let out an 'oof' and stumbled, catching himself and whipping about. Grave was at first concerned to see Ubel back in the Arena so quickly, but seeing the smile on his friend's face, and feeling the black paint that exploded on his back with his fingers eased his worry. Grave cocked his Castor Gun and returned fire.
Bam! Bam!
Two shots, and Grave was back in the game!

A rattle of chain resounded throughout the arena and with a clank a long length of chain fell down from the centre of the Arena ceiling. When the chain shook to a rest, it held a box swinging about 6 feet from the Arena floor. Inside were a pile of castor shells.

Jaenelle watched as the chain was lowered from the center of the room, and was running towards it before the chain came to a stop. Once in the middle of the room she looked around for the box she knew should be there, but couldn't find it. Confused, Jaenelle looked up to see if she could find the chain and groaned. The box was there, a few feet above her head.

Knowing that if she didn't act fast the shells would be gone, Jaenelle looked about the Arena and spied an approximate five foot long , verticle laying, tube. She ran over to it and struggled under its massive weight, but was able to scoot it directly under the hanging box. She carefuly climbed up the tube and put one foot on either edge for balance. The box swung harmlessly in front of her and Jaenelle grabed 30 shells to bring her to a full replenishment.

Knowing she was a good target, Jaenelle hopped down. As she was running for cover, the Melancholy spied Ubel and Grave. Grinning mischeviously, she stopped long enough to aim and fire off one shot at each.

Ubel. Fire.
Grave. Fire.

Groaning from the pain of the backfired shot, Jaenelle climbed back up the tube and snatched two more castor shells. "Grief, I'm out of practice." This time Jaenelle ran for cover first, and THEN took a slow and careful aim of Ubel and Grave.

BAM. BAM.

Oh what the hell. Jaenelle fired another shot at Ubel.

BAM.

Scrambling up the tube once more, Jaenelle snatched three moe shells to replenish her stock, leaving 8 in the box for someone else to snatch.

Ubel yelped as he was hit, flailing slightly and laughing, before scrambling towards the tube so he could replenish his own shells, though it took him a bit of effort in climbing up, given how small he was.

Once he was back in business, he grinned and turned to fire two shots at Jaenelle, hopping down from the tube after snatching up two castor shells from the box and stumbling as he landed, but hurrying for cover of some sort.

Grave's attention snapped to Jaenelle when her first two shots failed. And yet, despite his best efforts to zigzag forward for cover, he took a big splatter of paint on his shoulder when she tried again and was successful. Grave steadied Ubel as he grabbed a few paint shots. There were 6 left. Grave hopped up on the tube and carefully scooped them out and placed them in his pocket.

Distracted by the richochet of his dud off the plexi glass, Torrid was caught entirely unawares by Grave's shot. He stumbled forward as the shot exploded on his back, and as he whipped around to spot the culprit another shot splattered brilliantly across his shoulder. He blinked, stunned for a moment, and opted to find some cover.

Close to his right, about 10 paces, there was a short brick wall. He ran to it and piled behind it, catching his breath and poking his head up to see who was around. He spotted a pair of familiar faces, Ubel and Grave, and a girl he didn't know firing at them. Still unaware of who it was that got him, with an enthusiastic grin he decided anyone present was an eligible candidate for payback. Closing one eye, he took quick aim at Grave and fired two shots.

Jaenelle couldn't help but smile as she heard Ubel laughing. At least here was one that remembered this was a game. Grinning at him, she didn't realize Grave had fired at her until the dud impacted with the middle of her back, throwing her forward to smack hard upon the rugged ground.
Grimacing, she pushed herself up and ran for the nearest smattering of rocks that would serve as an appropriate form of cover. Once secured, she glanced over the rocks and spied Torrid in concentration upon his shots at Grave. Grinning to herself she aimed at the boy and fired two of her own.

BANG. BANG.

Grave crouched low behind the tube Lauryn had shoved under the swinging now-empty box. He peeked up over the edge of it as failed shots were aimed at him. Grave loaded his gun and fired a shot at Jaenelle and then fired a shot towards Torrid, and finished off with a shot at Ubel.

Groaning audibly, Jaenelle rolled her eyes at her luck. Whelp, there was nothing to do for it but try again, now was there? Positioning herself behind the rocks so that she could lay the castor gun directly on them and aim without exposing too much of her body, Jaenelle put Ubel and Grave back in her sights.

Taking in a deep breath, not wanting to rush these shots, she fired one at each.

Ubel. BAM!
Grave. BAM!

Instead of ducking right away, Jaenelle peered past the gun and bit her lower lip as she watched for her shells to connect with their targets.
