Katane giggles and looks up at DV.
Do you ever get the feeling people are sharing a private joke at your expense?

*Cough cough cough*
Settle down, everyone. As Nick will be absent for a while, it seems like I really must step up to the plate and take care of things here. For those that don't know me, I'm Mr. Vermillion and I'll be your substitute (whenever you want me).
Walks up to the blackboard and writes "Mr. Vermillion" in large letters.
Now, open your book of Rules & Guidelines on page 4.
And can anyone tell me about their last mod-related activity?

Mory opens up her Rules and Guidelines and begins studying the Mods' law on offensive language. Unfortunately, she's just eaten a very large lunch, and Mory's NEVER been able to survive a class right after lunch without drifting off. She decides to hide behind her book and take a nap, hoping she doesn't get noticed or called on to answer any questions.
... mmmble ... I don't know ... zzzzz ... red really isn't my color ... mrrmrrzzzzz ... maybe I should take it off ... zzz ...

Katane opens her book to said page and raises her hand. When Mr. Vermilion signifies that she can speak, she answers his question.
My last mod related activity involved the reporting of a spam thread. I also plan on contacting a moderator to sticky my thread in books. Everyone who's posted in it says they think it should be stickied. What would be the best way to aproach a mod in this situation?

A very good question, Miss Katane. I suggest you approach a mod either well-acquainted with the forum or acquainted with yourself and respectfully show the thread, ask them to review it and politely suggest that it's stickied. Should that fail, perhaps you could start a petition-thread (preferably in the chatterbox) where those that think it should be a sticky could simply post to show their support for the idea, then either approach the same or another moderator with it.
At all times, be respectful and polite as the mods are busy and no doubt get a lot of sticky-requests from Gaians. Make sure you set yourself apart from the unwashed masses. 3nodding

Sadly, this forum has no Dedicated Mods assigned to it. Which is actually part of the reason for the thread. But I shall notify a Dedicated Mod of the Entertainment Forum (which is as close as I can get). I shall follow your advice, as it sounds wise. biggrin

A mod once told me that generally they let the thread live on its own for several weeks before stickying it to test it's worth. But soon I shall make my request.

It's sunday, and Axioma walks over to the Schoolhouse. She's amazed by it, because she's never been there before. She wanders through the deserted schoolhouse a bit, not having anything better to do, checking out the general layout of the place.

Katane wanders in to look at all the dozing students. She grins.
And starts playing her drum solo.
