Elanin shook her head and followed the rest of the group in, maybe she hadn't shouted loud enough? No matter, she had a class to focus on now, she felt kinda bad missing whatever one she had, and she wanted to make sure she didn't zone out on this one either.
She walked into the planeterrium and looked around, taking in everything she saw, she really wanted to make up for lost time.

Jaenelle took a deep, cleansing breath as her eyes fluttered open. She stared at the ceiling for a few minutes, stretching her taught muscles until suddenly her whole body stiffined. I fell asleep! she screamed in her head as she launched her body off of the bed and to the desk where her school bag and supplies were. The Melancholy had gone back to her room after Rhetoric class to lay down for a few minutes, having experianced a dizzy spell after exiting the classroom.
"Gods, how late am I?" she wondered aloud, fearfully. Her eyes darted to the time keeper sitting on the desk and dropped her jaw. She had missed an entire class!
Growing insanely frantic she gathered all the books and supplies she'd need for the next class, Astronomy, and threw open her door. Hurrying into the hallway, it was easy to find her way passed the myriad of rooms before coming to a quick halt before the Planetarium. Forward thinking had demanded that she scout out where all her classes would be located the day before she began. Intent on getting to this class on time, she ran as fast as her scrawny legs would carry her and nearly slammed into the other students crouding around the door.
After regaining her composure Jaenelle walked closer to the group, recognizing some of the students from Rhetoric. She made no eye contact but made her way past a few of the classmates who had not yet made their way into the darkness inside. She could see the light of the hallway behind her still, but was amazed at how dark the room really was. The shadows were almost tangible, and Jaenelle had a fleeting moment of fighting with herself to not reach out her hand to grasp the darkness. Taking a deep breath, Jaenelle stood still and let her eyes slowly adjust to the lack of light.

Elanin moved to one side when she saw another student enter the planetarium. She blinked and then nodded her head, she knew her! She decided she would walk over and say hi. As she was walking however a thought struck her.
OH CRUD! I don't remember her name... She began to fret interanally, usually she was good with names... This wasn't good. But oh well she took a deep breath and tapped the other girl on the shoulder.
"Uhm, Hello, I'm Elanin, we met in Rhetoric class?" She said softly and smiled weakly, hoping she was right in her assumption...

Jaenelle had been so intent on improving her sight that when Elanin tapped her on the shoulder she instincively turned around and tensed. Problem was now that she was turned around the light from the hallway blinded her.
"There goes my night vision," Jaenelle grumbled softly. It took a quite a few moments until she was able to make out the figure before her. She studied the girl and acknowledged that she did seem somewhat familiar.
"More than likely since I was in that class, and apparently you were as well." Jaenelle looked past Elanin at all the other students still in the hallway and shook her head, then looked back at the other girl. "You better come inside and let your eyes start to adjust." Not waiting for an answer, the Melancholy grabbed ahold of the other and pulled her into the room, into the darkness.
Jaenelle closed her eyes for a few moments, letting the light from the hallway fade from her vision and opened them again. Indistinct objects were just visable in her peripheral vision but that was all. The room felt like a gaping void.

Elanin was about to step the rest of the way into the room so Jaenelle's tug caught her off guard. She scrambled to keep her balance as she stumbled into the room, totaly lacking any sign of grace. She looked around the dark room and squinted. "It's sure dark in here..." She muttered, trying to get her eyes to adjust.
"So uh, could I get your name again?" She asked, wishing she hadn't forgotten in the first place.

Jaenelle felt the girl stumbling and merely made sure she would be out of the way should Elanin topple over. She released her hold on the Choleric and took a step to the left to distance them. After hearing Elanin's comment, Jaenelle snorted in amusement as she folded her arms over her chest.
"Thank you Ms. Obvious," she chuckled unkindly. Having been asked, the Melancholy had no qualms about giving her name out. "My name is Jaenelle." Feeling the social obligation to keep the conversation going, she offered a question.
"What class has been your favorite so far today?"

"I've only had Rhetoric..." Elanin mumbled, her eyes shying away from the Melancholy even though they really didn't need to in the dark. "I erm, kinda overslept and missed a few classes I think, this is the first one I've gotten to since I've gotten up..." She admitted, though was a little ashamed.
It wasn't that she didn't like going to class, it was just... She'd forgotten to wake up and that bugged her, she wasn't really the lazy type.

Jaenelle felt her arms drop to her sides as she warmed slightly towards this girl. She was clearly embarrassed of having slept over Cooking and Jaenelle understood all too well.
"It's okay." She pondered keeping the fact that she skipped that class too a secret, she decided against it since all the other students knew full well she hadn't been there. "I missed that class too. I went to my room to lay down after getting too dizzy to stand. I layed down on the best and intended just to rest there while I gathered myself together, and the next thing I knew I woke up an entire class period later." Jaenelle sighed. This indiscretion clearly bothered her a great deal. She was an Academic. She thrived on all the classes and loved them dearly. To have missed Cooking was akin to missing a heartbeat.
Jaenelle began to shake her head but stopped when she realized that no one could see her. "I do hope this class starts soon. I will admit to being quite eager to learning about Astronomy."

Elanin nodded, not that Jaenelle could see... Oh bugger... "Yeah," Elanin said with a low voice, not wanting to make too much noise as the others came in. "I kind of did the same thing... I was tired and zoned out during the end of Rhetoric, so I decided to take a nap, and uh... yeah..." She sighed and shook her head.
"So, you like Astronomy?" Elanin didn't know heads or tails of it... she was more interested in... other things, but she guessed she could give this a shot. Why not?

Jaenelle chuckled and took a deep breath, thinking of how to best describe how she felt about the classes. "To be honest, as of this moment I don't prefer one over the other. I haven't had a chance to attend all the classes yet so I cannot take stock of them until I do. Rhetoric is the only class I've had so far, but from what I've read on Astronomy it does sound like a fascinating subject." Warming to the topic from what she already knew, she continued enthusiastically. "For example, did you know that all of those small, twinking stars in the night sky are just balls of gas?"
Jaenelle looked up expectantly, having almost convinced herself from the darkness that the two of them were standing outside, but was disappointed to be reminded that they were still stationary in the light-barren room.
"What do you know of Astronomy?"

"Uhhhh..." Elanin just stood there, moving her hands behind her back and working her thumbs. "Absolutely nothing..." She admitted, not at all embarassed but...
Well, she really didn't like admitting that she didn't know anything about something that seemed to be well known. She turned to look at Jaenelle and smiled, not that it could be seen yet of course. "So uhm... Yeah it sounds cool..."
Bold faced lie right there, Elanin could care less about what the lights in the night sky were... she was... intrested in other things...

As Grave stood enveloped in the blackness, he could smell the breath and feel the movement of the other students crowding gingerly into the blackened room. Grave peered into the inky darkness that filled the room, but no matter how hard he peered, the darkness was absolute, and he could not decipher the blue glimmers that seemed to be glowing from miles away. He was about to reach out for a hand to clasp when the glimmering blue lights shifted and slithered acrosst he endless field of black. Grave squinted fruitlessly at them, and let out a small cry of alarm when a brilliant flare of yellow light erupted in the darkness and came hurling towars Grave and his companions. It stopped in the centre of the room soundlessly, and in its massive glow, the terrified and awed faces of hte students could be seen. Among those young and studious faces hung the beautiful face of a Serpentine Empyrean. "Sol, our sun." It was the Astronomy Professor who spoke, a sleek gentleman with a sweet tenor voice. He did not introduce himself, but held his hands aloft, keep at bay the burning mass of light and flame. Elias allowed the 'sol' he'd created to break into a million glittering shining pieces and soar up into the blackness. If the students lacked any amount of Imagnation, even they would still have been swept away as the blackness of the room became endless space complete with its trillions of little stars.

Elanin winced when it grew brighter, sheilding her eyes a little as she watched the goings on, her conversation with Jaenelle... she'd call her Jae in her head for now, ask her if she could later... maybe during a break in the Proffessors lecture? Who knew... anyway she watched...
And she was floored, she watched the 'sun' shattered and filled the room with thousands of stars. She was holding her breath and she didn't even realize it. When she finally regained her wits, and her ability to breath, she took a deep slow breath.
"Wow..." She whispered, Jaenelle would hear her she was sure, here eyes were not focused on the Professor right then, but on the 'sky' above them, looking at each little point of light.
"Maybe this Astronomy bunk will actually be... interesting..." She said quietly tyring to keep others from hearing, outing herself and her lie eariler that she'd been intrested, when in fact she hadn't... Now however... She was very impressed, and wanted to see more.

Nadyrr winced a bit as he realized all the other students seemed to know each other. A feeling of despair gripped his stomach, he didn't know anyone. Sucking in a breath he stayed to the side letting them talk amongst themselves the feeling of despair deepening as their familiarity with each other became more apparent. Keeping quiet and to the side he attempted to go unnoticed, ahead he could see the room that seemed to be the destination. His mood already low he idly wondered how horrible this class would be and if anyone would laugh at him, or if he would just go into obscurity.
His attention snapped to the dark room once the door was opened, he could hear something inside. Instead of hesitation or fear he was drawn with curiousity stepping forward he almost bumps into another student before catching himself and standing back. Once those that were blocking the door enter he slides into the room and moves along the wall to the back.
Nadyrr's eyes widen as he sees the ball of light move across the room and then he lets out a small sound of awe as his eyes travel upward to look at the sky as it appears, only after a few moments of staring does he look back to the voice that spoke. He felt dazed by the show eyes still wide he continues to watch the professor.

Mat squeaked slightly when the "sun" suddenly flared, lighting up the room, then flushed and glanced around. Well, that was undignified. It didn't seem like anyone had noticed, though, as most of the other students were making more noise - including Grave. He did gape though, staring as Elias held that sun and then turned it into stars and he twisted his head, trying to see where they all scattered to.
This was ... ok yea. Chalk another class up to interesting. He wondered for a moment if they'd learn how to do that but then dismissed the thought again. Probably not ... this was more likely to be a study of what stars were where and such. But if the class was going to be taught like that, even studying for it could be fun.
