Eothemina *Whew!* I was so afraid that I was going to be the only one in here that is sorta inexperianced. As for me, several other people have called me "wierd", "bizare", and the best one... "strange". My first contact with the whole aura thing was when I was 16, and playing around with a friends ouji board. The spirits in the room just stopped talking through the board the second that I touched it. A few months after that, the same friend tried to read my future on terot cards, and several extreme opposits came up, such as the angel with the devil, solitary lifestyle with a huge group of friends, and stuff like that. I went to a friends house, which was haunted, and I was very excited to be around the others of this world, but they vanished the second that I walked through the door, and haven't been back since. According to some people, I'm a blessed person, who takes all the negative energy out of the atmosphere, and has the ability to take away curses away from folks just by looking at them. My fience urged me to join this group to learn more about what I can do, and what I can't do. I kinda know a little something about the different elements, such as the fact that my primary elemental sign is water. My familure is a cat, my cat, that I love dearly, just like a brother, and often hate. My western zodiac sign is Saggatarious, and my eastern sign is the Monkey. So, yea. Ello.I suppose I should figure out where to get started. I requested to join the guild because I had found it through searching threads for otherkin. It's a sad state of things on the public forums... can't make a thread about anything along those lines because people will be like "it's nonsense and belongs in the ChatterBox". I am part of a few other guilds on this site... but one of them has its own separate forum on another site altogether, so I frequent there. Then, I also frequent another forum site as well as a mailing list. I was interested in joining this guild so that I could not only have another source of information, but also so I could probably be more active on Gaia altogether. sweatdrop InterestsSo, yes, I probably wouldn't have searched up otherkin if there wasn't a reason for it. Proven for the fact that my stepfather who probably doesn't believe in such things saw a book that I had with otherkin in the title... and didn't think much of it when I said that it and the other books and movies were simply my books and movies. So, I guess I am considered an otherkin because I believe myself to be a dragon. I could post about "awakening" on another thread, or update here if so requested... it's kind of lengthy. From what I can understand, the dragon I remember being in my dream and that I see when I think about it is about 6' tall if standing, compared in size to a human female that appeared in the dream. The coloration is a black or very very dark color for the main body... yellow underneath, and then there is purple "webbing" for the "ears" and the wings. I'm not too keen on the eye color, but late art has sort of included yellow eyes. What I mean is that, while I'm trying to still understand myself better, I also try to study my dreams and also purchase books dealing with peoples views of... say... fictional monsters (as in, "creature that makes itself known" or some such, so angels and other things are included here) and also of magical practice. Speaking of which... I also own a Tarot deck and have sets of runes. I've... fallen out of practice on the Tarot deck though. Used to draw a card every day, interpret it, and then the next day would see some connection when forcing myself to type about my previous day. sweatdrop Everyday LifeSo, this that I'm doing is part of what I do each day. I wake up and get ready... in the afternoon. I wake up around 4pm and shower, will eat dinner later or will have lunch beforehand. At 9pm is when I'm at work, and all night long I stock shelves. Full time job and overnight. 3nodding At around 6am is when I get back home, and I take that time to check web comics and do some of the daily chance things on Gaia, then I'll retreat to either Maple Story to play or check deviantART for more pictures... or even will waste time on YouTube or reading articles in different places. Sometimes I get in a conversation with someone on Yahoo! or MSN. I go to bed around 9am, showering first... and then after waking up the cycle starts again. Which... I forget to mention that the second part of "the day" after I wake up again is when I check the forums and everything. Maybe then spend more time playing Maple Story, or deviantART... might even play DS with my sister. Somewhere in the day I usually find time to think about personal matters though... concerning when I'll eventually move out of the house, about my spiritual self, things like that. Usually when in bed is when I try to meditate or other things along those lines. Or, failing that, I play the DS. sweatdrop

I've always been interested in the paranormal; well, for as long as I can remember. I've had a few experiences I can't quite explain, and my mother has had many encounters. Apparently, one of which happened when she was pregnant with me.
I worry sometimes that I'm crazy, or at least "not all there". But at the same time, I think if I didn't, I would be crazy with the thought of reality, you know? I'm rambling. sweatdrop
The only other interesting thing I can say is that I remember almost every dream I have.

Hi everybody. I'm Alba and I got interested in the paranormal since I was 12, when I started to practice palmistry as a joke with my classmates. I've studied a little bit of Astrology, Gnosticism, Tarot reading, I-Ching, Runes, symbolic Alchemy, and the occult laws of the world (mainly from the theosophist authors perspective and terminology).
I joined this guild because I want to know a little bit more about psychic abilities and other phenomena, and I would like to find out what you think about it, as well as what kind of experiences you have had.
I also hope I can contribute a bit. biggrin

I have a LOT of e-books on alchemy and I also have an e-book called the encyclopedia arcane(a torrent I recently downloaded), all in all, I think I have about 2.5 gigs on occult knowledge stored on my exhdd. Anyway, in my newness, I hope you all don't mind if I lurk a bit before posting and making a fool of myself. Haha.

Swoosh.
I'm Centronias (<3) and I research alchemy. Very fun. Anyways, I have my own unique ways of thinking of things and I have a sort of 'compass' that just tells me when ideas are right or wrong.
btw, don't think of me as boring. I AM TEH FUNz.

hello, I'm cherrydelite or in the real world, kat. I'm a Reiki Master, and I used to be a wiccan first degree prietess in the fairie tradition, but I haven't practiced that in a long time. In Reiki I am a channel for healing energy, and as a priestess I used to draw down the moon and was a vessel for the Goddess. So I guess I can work with some kinds of energy.
I see a couple of people here stating they are psy vamps, I guess I'll be keeping my shields up. An d no, that isn't a challenge for you to try to break through.
This year I've been concentrating on doing work with my guides. (acutally I've been goofing off on that for the last couple of months, work has been crazy)
talents? occaisional prophetic dreams, just "knowing" things, remote viewing (sometimes) divination with cards or tea leaves, healing, occaisionally see auras when it has to do with healing. Sometimes know when someone is going to die. clairaudiance, clairvoyance, clairgustiance.
goals? to gain more control over these sometimes and occaisional gifts.

Hello, I'm Pyrokin but you can just call me Pyro or Vivo. I respond to both, it really doesn't matter. I came across this guild when I got fed up with the ED. Nobody would take a thread about ESP seriously and wanted evidence for everything. Sadly, there just isn't evidence yet. I will find it though, I'll make sure of it.
My Pros: Observant, Objective, and Original. When studying psychics, one needs to learn how to spot inconsistencies and fakes. I know a lot of the tricks people pull, intentionally and unintentionally. I've had experience in a lot of areas and have had the most luck in ESP.
My Cons: I am a tad stubborn. I occasionally extend the truth but I'm getting better about it. My long term memory is busted. I remember something happened to me that got me interested in the first place but I haven't a clue what. Also, I'm still young. s**t has happened to me so I'm more mature but still young.
My Odds: My body works better at night. Better arm strength and wonderful speed. Nobody has beat me in a race at night yet, however, quite a few have during the day. I have a strange emotion bottling complex. Because I have trouble dealing with them during stress, some get bottled in my subconscious. I can open it up when I feel I need to but I'm a pacifist so I prefer not to, as to avoid hurting someone.

Hello everyone. I'm Knola. I also go by Nala.
Hm...about me. I guess I'm pretty opinionated. But I like to call them theories. Theories can be more or less right, or modified to reflect more current evidence. Some theories are unfounded, some are better than others, but so far none of them are completely perfect.
So whenever I'm rambling on about stuff I know, it's not all stuff I'm trying to present as undeniable and unchanging fact, unless I make a big point of it, in which case I usually have some sort of real evidence (if I don't just let me know so I don't make an a** out of myself). sweatdrop
I guess I should say something about my background. The first things I learned were tarot, basic meditation and dream control when I was in middle school. All I had to go on was one book and my parents (my mom is a therapist). I wasn't clever enough to realize that I might find this stuff on the internet back then, so I remained ignorant for a few more years.
But it wasn't such a bad thing. When I finally came across some of the new age books, I was able to look at them and judge them by my own experiences which hadn't been influenced by any of the new age theories. So when I read about the astral realm, how to leave your body, and the guardian of the gate and I had the exact same experiences, I knew that there must be something to it.
Anyway, ever since then I've been trying to soak up as much information and as many theories as possible. I like being challenged, and I like debate. I only get defensive when I feel I am personally being insulted (i.e., You're an idiot, you're a liar). Most of what I know comes from both my own experience and outside sources like books or journals. I believe that it's best to have a balance of those things, and not rely on either one too much when it comes to seeking the truth.
Oh yeah. I'm most skilled at divination, astral travel, dream control, and energywork or psionics.
Guess that's it. I guess it's easy to see that I can ramble on a lot. Oh well. sweatdrop

Hi!
I´m interested in anything paranormal/supernatural since around 11, and have researched lots of things...psionics, tarot, magical systems...
However I have forgotten much in the past two years, where I got involved with a wrong kind of person, who only wanted to make me his slave..didn´t suceed though blaugh
Now I´m regaining back my strenght, and knowledge, and hope to meet new people and have fun!
I do have some talents, like empathy ..
and please don´t judge me too harshly if this intro post sounds too lame... blaugh I´ve been collecting points for the Halloween event and my mind is blank..but unless I post now, I won´t have the time next time..or I´ll be lazy... sweatdrop

Well I've always been into Psi and the energy aspect of magick. what made me want to research it more was when i stumbled on a book about magick when I was shopping for books >.<; I also know a bit about otherkin
I'm currently teaching Energy or psi to 5 of my friends. 1 is off on her own but occationally comes back for information. another one is in the middle of my whole teaching-ness. and 3 are just starting off. i know quite a bit about it but i'm still learning way more.
