Mairi exhaled slowly, her eyes narrowing as they paled slowly, recalling that she'd left the pouch at the small of her back in the chair she'd sat in earlier while waiting for them to hear about news of Lucas. She'd also left something in it for her mother just in case something like this happened. You have no power over us, and there is no... the nurse started in a low, smug tone before Mairi's soft, cool voice cut her off again. Admittedly, I don't know if we have family elsewhere, but that doesn't matter. Our family is here and we will remain with them, Mairi said in a dangerously calm tone. Hey, isn't that the belt pouch Mairi had? Kairi said quickly pointing at the bluish purple pouch. Within was a note that read to Pyrrha. . - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)

Pyrrha RyderElementary School Teacher"Well, as Michaelangelo would put it... Let's Party!"Pyhrra looked at the belt pouch then at Kairi. What does it say, Kairi? Pyhrra said this to Kairi as she calmed down, relieved that Mairi didn't follow them but then notices the purple pouch.

Mairi exhaled softly, her eyes narrowing slightly before she grunted, fighting the rage boiling deep within her. Trying to manipulate us or blackmail us will not work... especially... ugh, she said coolly, grunting as she took a very slow breath, feeling the rage receding slowly. Then you are of no use to us, the nurse stated as she drew out a thick blade as wide as Mairi's index and middle fingers before she launched it suddenly... not at her, but at Lucas. Her wrist twisted sharply, the hidden blade dropping into her palm before she deflected it, but misjudged the angle of the deflection, opening a long diagonal cut from the inside of her elbow halfway to her wrist. Fortunately, it was a shallow cut, if painful. She heard Lucas cry out in shock before she heard a door slam seconds before glass shattered. Something was way too suspicious about that. I don't like it, Mairi said low, calm tone. Her anger was fighting to rise again, but the pain in her arm had broken the rage within her, thankfully... for the moment. She winced slightly, noticing that while her nails were no longer sharp, they were much longer than they should have been. Mama... if something happens and I lose my temper to the point my eyes go dark, you'll need to bind my powers before they lash out. Usually, intense pain can break me out of this state, but if it doesn't, use the nickel sized seal to bind it. Chain markings will form around it once pressed to my skin as it merges, denoting the amount of energy sealed by tenths. I would advise binding all but ten to fifteen percent of it, or eight and a half to nine links. The energy is part of me and Lucas both, but he hasn't consciously accessed it unlike me... which in my case was due to great personal stress and need in... certain situations I won't mention through a note. However, stripping it completely would prove fatal, so binding is the next best option. I make it a point to prepare ahead of time... call me obsessive, but I prefer to call it practical preparedness, Kairi read, confused as it didn't make sense to her. She didn't notice that there were, what appeared to her, to be tribal markings pulsing lightly, making it so nobody else would hear or notice what the scroll had in it, only noticing a vague buzzing like static. As she finished reading, the pulsing faded to black as did the markings (second line, repeated twice on the scroll). Mairi winced as her head was pounding unmercifully, though she did notice that the knife with her blood running down the edge was planted firmly in the floor a few steps behind her. The knife she'd used to deflect it was planted halfway to the hilt in the wall just shy of the baseboard a few inches in front of Lucas' knees but a direct line could be angled from where the knife was to his chest, the intended target. Ugh... feels like I've been headbutting a brick wall for a couple of hours, she moaned, the light, to her, feeling like needles jabbing in her eye sockets. . - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)

Mairi was breathing hard, wincing as blood trickled from her fingertips onto the floor. I see you found the note... ugh... damn, this hurts, she said with a pained edge to her voice. She was fairly sure that the wound was shallow enough it wouldn't need stitches, but she was no doctor and couldn't be certain. I'm definitely going to avoid getting that angry again... feels like someone's jabbing needles into my eyes and my head's pounding like a jackhammer, Mairi said in a low voice, grimacing. I guess we don't need this at the moment, but keeping it safe would be best, I think, Kairi said softly, curious. . - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)

Pyrrha RyderElementary School Teacher"Well, as Michaelangelo would put it... Let's Party!"Pyhrra looked at Mairi who was hurt. Oh no, Mairi. You're hurt badly! If I didn't run away, none of this would have ever happened! Pyhrra saw the blood from Mairi's fingertips and her wounds, then began to cry as she blamed herself. All that hard work tending to Mairi's wounds were now wasted.

Mairi chuckled, though she grimaced. No, it's better that you did flee... had you stayed she would have had more targets, and I only had one hidden blade, and so... I would have only been able to deflect one blade, and I... kinda doubt I could catch one, she said with a pained edge to her voice as she smiled faintly. And... I don't think it's as bad as it looks. Aches like heck, but... it's no worse than when I tried to catch myself from falling out of that tree, Mairi said in a low voice, grimacing as she realized she hadn't exactly said how she'd hurt herself before, only that she'd 'fallen out of a tree'. I think... that I may be able to help, but I need... pure water, Kairi said softly, curious as she noticed the knives. . - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)

Pyrrha RyderElementary School Teacher"Well, as Michaelangelo would put it... Let's Party!"Pyhrra looked at Mairi. No, Mairi. I ran away because you frightened me & who is that nurse... really? Pyhrra looked at Kairi after she said this. The closest to pure water, would be bottled water. Pyhrra said this as she purchased 1 bottled water from the beverage machine then gave to Kairi. Will this work?

Mairi blinked before exhaling softly. It's something called 'killing intent'... I've only read about it, so I've never used it nor have I really experienced it. Supposedly, you have to be enraged to the point of violence, and it is possible to paralyze someone with fear if you focused it strongly enough. I don't know who that nurse is, though, she said with a pained edge to her voice as she smiled faintly. Kairi shook it, concentrating as the water gained a luminous soft bluish teal aura. It'll work. I've practiced this a few times, but... I've never tried it on another person. It's supposed to heal small injuries, but I need a clear view of the injury, Kairi said softly, her tone shy. She was surprised as Mairi almost immediately ripped away the lower part of the sleeve of her top, exposing the cut. She winced slightly, swallowing hard as she opened the bottle before focusing, clearing her mind as the top fifth of the water within the bottle shimmered as it streamed out before condensing between Kairi's palms as the bluish teal glow grew denser and a bit brighter before she directed it towards the cut in very thin tendrils, the glowing water streaming into the edges and clearing away the excess blood slowly but surely as the cut slowly healed as the sphere between her palms shrank, steaming a bit as she breathed hard as it hissed softly, vanishing from sight. She smirked slightly, triumphant, as the cut was gone, save for a small amount of wet, reddened skin. I can't do that too often, or I'll get exhausted. she revealed. - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)

Mairi nodded slightly, agreeing with her mother. She doubted this unknown nurse would show up again anytime soon, though. I agree though... I suspect that nurse won't show up again for a while, though I'm not certain on that, she said as she touched her now wet but unmarked arm in mild wonder. Kairi blushed at the praise, unfamiliar with such praise as she'd never gotten anything similar before. Ah... I'm not that skilled at such hydrokinesis, honestly. - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)

Mairi's ears twitched as she turned her head, noticing several bees buzzing around as her arm dropped as the water dripped down her arm before she abruptly flicked it up hard and powerfully, mist trailing from her fingertips. Soft snapping sounds gave away the impacts as the excess water had frozen into thin, yet razor sharp needles that impaled the Africanized bees to the wall and ceiling. Maybe it's best if we get away from here. It appears the bees may have some way to escape the room, or those few got out before I set off that smoke bomb, she said quietly, wincing slightly as the muscles in her forearm tightened in a rather painful way, her fingers twitching as the muscles spasmed. Kairi shrugged nonchalantly. Hydrokinesis isn't that unusual an ability, though... healing with it is very uncommon, she admitted shyly. - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)

Mairi cocked her head, frowning fractionally. Do we have a way to get Lucas to safety? she said quietly. She glanced at her lengthened nails, grimacing slightly. 'I really need to trim these things... and figure out how to control that thing where they lengthen and sharpen. It's annoying to keep having them pierce my palms,' she thought. - clean clothes -------- Kairi Mairi (| OOC - |)
