Mercy almost didn't notice Siobahn and Delorna leaving with Elle. Their departure seemed unnecessary to her, but she didn't complain, and her attention was on Riko again within seconds. "Jesus, you're old," Mercy mused, doing the math in her head. "What's your secret? Bathing in the blood of virgins?" She snickered.
There were too many questions to ask. One concerning Siobahn floated through her head, but Mercy dismissed it quickly. "What was your family like?"

 "I'm dead. That's my secret." Riko answered, slightly sarcastic, but she shrugged it off. "My family was normal, two parents, no siblings. Not much else to say about it. Next."

Mercy couldn't help feeling like there was more to say about Riko's family, but she didn't push the matter. Of course, just when Riko was answering all of Mercy's questions, she couldn't decide on what to say. Mercy considered her options for a moment, then she shrugged and sighed. <********, Riko, I don't know," she said, falling back into her chair. "There's over a hundred years' worth of ground to cover. I don't even know where to start." But she felt like she was wasting this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. She scrambled to think of a half-decent question. "Have you... ever ******** anyone famous? Who was the first person you kissed? What would you ask yourself if you were me?"
Then she thought of it--the question. Maybe years from now, the answer wouldn't matter. But it had consumed her thoughts for most of today, and she was drawing blanks everywhere else. Mercy's gaze steadied, her voice softened. "...Will you ever forgive me?"

"I already told you about how I turned, I was with my boyfriend and we were attacked, I was still human back then, so he was the first person I kissed." Riko said calmly. "Have I been with anyone famous? No. I have a name for myself, so I guess you could say I am famous so I don't really see the appeal." Riko snorted. "If I were you I wouldn't waste my time with something so boring." Riko said honestly and then shrugged. When Mercy asked about forgiveness. Riko stayed silent. For a moment, and then. "If I said no, would it matter? Would me forgiving you do anything really outside of making you feel better?" Riko smirked after a moment. "I have a question for you now."

"If you meant it, yeah," Mercy replied, wilting a little despite herself. If Riko never forgave her, this whole event would stand between them forever. How were they supposed to raise a kid together with that kind of baggage?
Then Riko stated that she had a question for Mercy, and the werewolf shifted uncomfortably in her chair. She didn't particularly like the grin on Riko's face. "Fine," she said cautiously, waiting.

"I was originally just asking because I thought it would be funny to see your reaction," Riko started leaning forward eagerly now, a huge grin touching her petite features. "But now that you mention it, I think hitting you might be very therapeutic, yes." Riko nodded vigorously. When Mercy actually stood and prepped herself, even asking Riko to be mindful, and to aim for her already marred eye, Riko realized that Mercy was actually going to go through with this. "Oh my, you are actually going to let me hit you. Interesting." Riko said hoping up with a shrug to her shoulders. "Ok then. Eyes closed, wouldn't want you to lose one, whichever one I-" Riko lunged forward cutting herself off and landing a swift right hook on Mercy's jaw, "Hit."

Mercy stared, expression neutral except for the sliver of annoyance caught in the slight wrinkle of her nose. "Will it actually help, or are you just asking for kicks?" she asked. But it didn't take long for Mercy to decide that she didn't care either way. Sighing, the werewolf shrugged and pushed her chair back to stand. "Fine, why not. No matter how hard you hit, I'll still look better than you." She walked over to the emptier side of the kitchen and positioned herself, taking on a balanced, strong stance, then beckoned for Riko to come at her. "If you could go for the eye with the scar, though?" she half-joked, pointing to the eye maked with scratches, her werewolf birthright. "I'd like to come out of this with at least one good side."

(Totally almost couldn't find your post. I was so confused. XD)
Mercy closed her eyes, less because Riko had advised her to and more because she didn't care to watch Riko's fist barreling toward her face. When Riko's punch connected with her jaw, Mercy staggered backward and let out a long, tense hiss. <********> she groaned, speaking the consonants with more clarity and harshness than she ever had in her life. Her eyes opened, and she rubbed at her throbbing jaw; her whole face and neck were inflamed with pain. There was no doubt in Mercy's mind that she would be wearing a nasty bruise by tonight. Riko hadn't held back. Doubling over, Mercy continued to grip her jaw and swear under her breath, before she looked at Riko. "Feel better?"

"Doesn't change a thing.." Riko laughed. Though, I guess I can forgive you know, either you are an idiot, or you must truly be sorry, because I can't think of any reason why you would like me punch you like that, so I guess I can give you my forgiveness, though it isn't worth much." Riko said, moving to sit back down at the table. "I have another question for you now, this one is serious." Riko assured. "Why the sudden interest in myself and Siobahn, why did you go out of your way to try and find out about me?.... Jealous?"

Mercy wasn't certain that everything that had happened was behind them now, but the fact that Riko was laughing and smiling was enough proof that forgiveness had truly been given. Mercy, relieved despite the pain she was experiencing, attempted a thankful smile--only to cringe when her jaw protested. She tried to wiggle it, to test its range of motion, as she returned to her seat.
Riko had a serious question, but it should have been a joke. Jealous? What kind of nonsense question was that? But Mercy's reaction was immediate and excessive, and unexpected even to her. For some reason, Mercy suddenly felt jittery, like she had been found out, like she needed to defend herself. "W-What? Of what?" she asked. Mercy snorted. "Jealous. Please. I didn't go out of my way. You sure think a lot of yourself, don't you. Delorna's the one who brought it up. She's probably the jealous one. Makes sense, though, doesn't it, considering you two go at it like rabbits at the house, on my counters..." Ugh. The wave of nausea that came over Mercy was somehow welcome--or more welcome than the panicked feeling that had settled in seconds prior. But it passed quickly, and Mercy was left with the same defensiveness she had started with. She forced herself to practice some semblance of self-control and cleared her throat. "W-What about you, huh?" she asked, leaning into the table to scrutinize Riko. "What's with your sudden interest in my interest in you and Siobahn?"

"That's quite the rebuttal you had their complete with sputtering and all. Totally believable in your delivery by the way, I don't know if there is any room left to doubt you at all now." Riko replied sarcastically, shaking her head. "You don't have to admit it, that's fine, just know that Siobahn has a skill, she is able to read right through your skin, and pick up on your emotions. So she knows what ever it is you feel, though its not like you were being very subtle." Riko hinted with a grin. "Also I think it would be a little more strange if I wasn't interested in the fact that you had an interest in my history with Siobahn. Especially since me telling you that I wanted you dead basically, didn't push you away."

Mercy's stomach churned when Riko claimed to see right through the lies--lies that Mercy was still convinced were truths. Or maybe half-truths. And the news about Siobahn was pretty... jarring. But what did Mercy have to be afraid of? This internal question didn't receive the answer Mercy wanted, and she shifted uncomfortably in her seat. Riko's teasing was making Mercy angry now, and she felt her defensiveness take on a new edge. Her face twisted into a frown and she leaned back into her chair, arms folding across her chest.
"I betrayed you," Mercy said flatly. "You had--have--a right to be upset. Am I supposed to be pissed at you for that?" Mercy was never going to hear the end of it. Whether or not Mercy had feelings for Riko was now irrelevent; Riko would use this against Mercy until Mercy either impaled her with a stake or slithered away to some foreign, unreachable land.
"Anyway, I don't feel anything, so there's nothing to pick up on," Mercy said, her anger making it much easier to remain cool. Walking over to the fridge, she opened the freezer and searched for an ice pack. "I just thought it was a dumb question, is all. I mean, when have you ever given me a reason to feel anything but irriation for you?" Mercy scoffed and pulled out a pack of frozen spinach to wrap in a towel and hold to her jaw.

"People have been angrier at me for stupider things." Riko said with a shrug sitting back down at the table and reclining in the chair balancing it on its hind legs. Seeming as if she didn't have a care in the world. "Good thing you aren't feeling anything as it is then, was afraid I would have to give you the talk." Riko sighed, rocking the chair back and forth, the chair leaning dangerously far back, but she was at no real risk of spilling, there were a few factors about her that would make something like that nigh impossible, namely being a vampire. "If you'll recall, I think I told you I don't do that whole relationship thing." Riko reminded, "And there is no need to be rude, i think I asked a fairly reasonable question, your pretended that all I've ever done was irritate you."

Mercy leaned against the counter and held the towel-wrapped bag of frozen spinach against her swelling jaw. "I do recall that. I also recall telling you that it wouldn't be a problem," Mercy responded calmly. She was feeling more sure of herself now. Wanting to kick that chair out from under Riko was helping. "And sure, you're right. Most of what you've done is irritate me. Sometimes you make me laugh... but probably not for reasons you'd like." She shrugged. "Sure you would say the same about me."

"Well I think it's fair to take certain things you say with a grain of salt. Especially when you say things like 'It won't be a problem.' I can't believe you even managed to say that without having the urge to knock on wood." Riko snorted, she looked over at Mercy watching the wolf nurse her wounds, and smirked looking away. "You know, I've done a lot more to you, than just make you laugh or irritated." Riko jabbed, trying to worm her way underneath Mercy's skin. "I don't think I can say that you have done the same."
