“You glutton, you just ate two hours ago!” A teasing voice brought Alexandra’s head back up and in the direction of Aja, who was steadily approaching with a bit of pep in her step. “Thanks for feeding him, Alex,” she thanked her companion as she drew closer, stopping long enough to pat Tropius’ side. “You’re gonna eat us out of house and home…” Tropius ignored its trainer in favor of finishing its meal, only raising its head back up to regard Aja when its bowl was empty. Alexandra picked up the now empty bowl, filling it up with water and then setting it back down. “We’ll be heading to Hoenn next,” Aja informed Alexandra as Tropius drank. The brunette nodded, head turning to Tropius as it lifted its head, water dripping from its chin. “That’s our cue! Let’s head out!” Alexandra grabbed the bowl, pouring the rest of the water out onto the ground before throwing the bowl itself away. She stretched, mentally preparing herself for another long ride, before she pulled herself up onto Tropius.

Arriving in Opelucid, Ajicka absently brushed herself off and looked around. She cracked her knuckles and rolled up her sleeves as she started forward. She was pretty damn certain this would be her best bet for training, given it was the location of an eighth gym. The very one she would soon be battling, in fact. Pokemon around stronger gyms.... generally tended to be stronger, so they would make for good practice. They'd certainly worked well last time she was here. She frowned as she took in her surroundings, though. The place seemed pretty busy... how exceptionally annoying. Maybe she shoudl go a little further from the city than she had intended. She frowned, looking at a few of the groups as she walked, one hand lifted slightly towards her belt. She was considering releasing her pokemon, but-- before she could even run through the list of who to let out, someone hit her, hard.

She caught herself quickly, stepping back and looking up with a sharp frown, bordering on glaring at the young man who had run into her. He looked to be about her age, maybe a few years older, and stared back in surprise. ”Oh! Sorry, I—“ He stopped, tilting his head to the side as he looked at her curiously. She frowned, staring back at him. ”What?” she muttered flatly. He stepped back, apparently ignoring her question and looking her over. Her expression flared from annoyance to anger, and her hands balled into fists. ”What—“”You look like a pretty fierce trainer,” he remarked off handedly. She was cut short, her anger suddenly, abruptly interrupted by the… compliment? Observation? She eyed him warily, paused, then rolled her shoulders a bit and forced herself to relax. Probably… better not to fly off the handle quite yet. She was about to ask him if he wanted to battle when he cut her off yet again.

His expression became visibly shocked at the disgusted look on her face. ”So?” she sneered, ”I’d rather train my own pokemon, thanks.” She dropped her arms down, already fed up with where this conversation would go. She gave him a second to recover, but when he seemed to take longer, she rolled her eyes and moved around him, continuing towards the closest route. ”Well, what if you could have them trained, and get something else out of it?” he quickly added. She could hear him turn to hurry after her. ”I’m not interested in your weird sex proposition,” she stated flatly. He made a funny sound, like a mix between a yelp, a gasp, and a gag, which still didn’t slow her. ”That is… not what I am proposing!” he uttered, his voice a bit… shriller than it had been. She finally stopped, turning just enough to look over her shoulder and give him a dry, sarcastic look.
He stopped when she looked at him, then straightened up, rolling his shoulders back and adjusting the collar of his… whatever that was. She didn’t know the name of it, but it was a cravat. The man was actually dressed pretty oddly, from an objective view, but she hadn’t taken much from it given there were actually quite a lot of people dressed a little oddly. Frilled clothing, or eccentric styles— it varied; he seemed to fall in line with the “weirdly fancy, but okay then” category. ”What I meant, was… I’m assuming you plan to challenge the Elite Four,” he clarified, eying her carefully. She looked at him, then turned to face him, folding her arms over her chest, and letting him continue. She could tell he was trying to gauge her reaction, but… stubbornness aside, that was enough to catch her attention. She still highly doubted she would have anything to do with whatever he proposed, but it wouldn’t hurt to listen. Well… it wouldn’t hurt her, at least.

Rubbing the back of her neck and looking over at her pokemon, Ajicka sighed. She was trying to weigh the situation out here, and it was.... difficult. For one didn't particularly like the idea of her pokemon ever being out of her possession, but on the other hand, they were so powerful they could likely take care of themselves, and even if something did happen, like they were stolen or something, she still had several other very powerful pokemon that, like Dodger mentioned, she could just go get, and use to hunt them down and take her pokemon back. Not to mention Deoxys, who could always inform her if something was going on.

That seemed to be the deciding factor for her, and Ajicka sighed heavily as she resigned to the idea of what she'd be doing. It was stupid, and she'd rather train her pokemon herself, but if going to some stupid party was what it took to battle the Elite Four before facing them completely, and she didn't have to lose training time by letting others provide opportunities for her pokemon... then she'd do it. She reached up and ran a hand through her hair, before frowning and turning to look around. She'd need to go find that guy again, to let him know her decision, but.... she'd told him to give her time, so he'd probably be back. I fnot, well.... she just wouldn't have to worry about that anymore.

In the meantime.... Ajicka looked over Gliscor. She'd managed to get him to evolve, but... it barely felt like a change. He seemed the same, for the most part, not that she'd had much time to get to know him since she'd caught him. She reached up, rubbing her temple a bit. How weird was it that so many of her team, were fairly new? Sableye, in all her oddness, Gliscor, in all his oddness.... She watched the pokemon crawl along the ground until he found an opponent, at which point he raised up, soaring directly up into the air, an intimidating figure. Sableye seemed to be having more fun watching him and his antics, than actually fighting, though she kept up as well, along with everyone else. For the time being, despite the crowds, Ajicka had pretty much all her pokemon out.

Given they all knew how to battle -- whether through their own experience, or through battling and training with her -- Ajicka didn't have much to do, but she did take some time to to Gliscor and work with him some. She corrected his form, particularly on his fighting move, and gave a bit of instruction. Sableye, Joltik, and Houndoom battled some opponents nearby, but Eelektross slithered closer, hovering and observing. He still seemed to prefer not to let her get too close, but she'd noticed that he was at least taking more interest in improving, as opposed to just fighting. Fall, meanwhile, was still walking a bit like a cat with duct tape on its paws, as she re-adjusted to her smaller form.

While Ajicka focused with Gliscor -- who, surprisingly, seemed to delight in the instruction and attention -- Sableye watched from afar. She kept an eye out for opponents, but honestly, they weren't especially difficult. Her gaze lifted up to the skies, where the presence of that... Deoxys thing seemed to flicker in and out. She was hardly as powerful as him, as far as psychic prowess went, that much she could tell. That thing felt like it was from another world, and from what little she could scrape from Ajicka's mind on it, it was. Not that she had been in her trainer's head much. The poor girl seemed to have enough psychics welcoming themselves to her thoughts and feelings, and Sableye honestly wasn't the sort to pry. But she was curious.... and given Ajicka wasn't the sort to share openly, she'd poked in briefly to try and find what information she could.

The bit about Deoxys-- which was essentially the sort of stuff people just typically heard about its species, from what Sableye could tell -- was just about all she'd gotten. A little impression of their general relationship and how they met, but really, she didn't care about that too much. Her new trainer seemed.... tough, independent, perhaps a bit more fragile than she let on, temperamental, and less than appreciative of invasiveness. And Sableye was fine respecting that. She did want a nickname, though. She fully intended to convey this to her trainer, at some point. Perhaps when she was done messing with Gliscor, or there was a lull in the training....
