Stand against fate!


Kira had a talent that few considering he possessed the Flames of Emotion, not only did that also get stronger or weaker based on Kira's own mindset but it also allowed him to get an idea on someone elses emotional state of mind, and unless they were a doll of some sorts, Inferno would be no different. Kira felt the sadness, anger, overwhelming amount of power coming from Inferno, and it was at this point for the first time in a long while Kira shook, not of excitement but fear. As Inferno began to advance down the steps towards the group Kira would swallow and snap back to reality as he could see Inferno getting bigger, it was a sign of an unavoidable battle but he didn't wanna see anyone falling here, and considering they came here to put Roy to rest, Kira went for a gamble.

Once Inferno referenced how Oni caused about Kira he would grit his teeth as the wolf kept his sword rose, but he would look away for a moment to where Roy was placed. "Inferno...Oni..." Kira would lower his sword as he was almost stuck in place staring where Roy was. "I can understand more from you Inferno then that stupid furball. The loss of a loved one, more then possibly anybody else in all of the realms, i have slain the one i was betrothed too, i don't know my mother at all and all i know of my father is his name Havoc. Roy i considered a friend not only because of who he was, but because of what he fought for he did not falter, he never swayed from the path he walked." Kira's glare was now towards Inferno, he wasn't angry, but if Inferno could read emotion's or anything along those lines, he would see that Kira understood him more then anything else.

"Roy fought the best he could, and i would love to say, once we have revenge, that will stop the fighting, but would it? i don't think so. Roy believed there could be peace, but over all he had one single goal that above all else he stood for, and do you know what that is Inferno?" Kira would stomp his back foot and lift his sword up again, his resolve was clear, and the shaking went away, as the flames ignited around his body again, now taking a form of a dragon that was the same height of Inferno and the azure flame dragon's sights was directly at the man in front of him, the eye's of the dragon having crimson flames instead of azure. "He caused after the father he cherished so much! And here you choose to fight against those that your son considered friends! Those that believed in him would stand by him! I don't know rather i'm more pissed off or disappointed in the one they call the prized fighter! I don't want to fight, but if it came down to it then you bet your a** i will, cause i can't stop Lucas, Arc, Cruxis, Kikyo, Heaven and Hell, if i don't have the power to fight, and you can bet i will like YOUR SON i will fight till the bitter end! Is this the path you want Inferno! or do you wanna see your son's wish fulfilled! Tell me!"

Kira's flames roared louder as the dragon roared at the prized fighter, Kira's emotion's were being transmitted by the flames, to the lord of all fire, would this be enough to have Inferno change his mind? "I can understand being pissed at Oni for some of the stupid thing's he does, we both can vouch for that, but he still has his pride! it was by his request that Roy be brought back to his father for his burial, out of the respect he has for you, even though he'd never admit it i don't think. That said Inferno...in front of Roy, is that what you really want?" He hoped it'd be enough he really did, he didn't wanna have to fight here, and escaping was out of the question, but he wasn't gonna back down either, it wouldn't be like he had much of a choice to begin with.

"Are you truly so blind to the truth Inferno?" Between the Prized Fighters seething hatred and Kira stubborn resolve Oni remained calm. Slowly he would reposition himself directly between the two of them. "As an ex Ruler of Hell I figured you knew better than that Inferno, but I forgot just how stupid you are." Oni would lock eyes with the Fire Demon with a sly smile on his face.

"By serving Hell you son found friends, comrades, and above all else the family he never had. You abandoned him. You tried to kill him. If it hadn't been for Arc he would have died from your chaos beam! But that isn't the only reason he served Hell so faithfully. He was chasing after you! He was following in YOUR footsteps. He followed the path you laid out for him. He wanted to emulate YOU, but no matter how hard he tried you just never gave him a chance." Oni would close his eyes and shake his head as he let out a heavy sigh. The toxins in the air had finally begun to affect him. While his healing ability was working against them, they were just too thick in the air for him to remain at 100%.

"So why don't we change topics? You want to speak of betrayal. You want to talk about how everyone has betrayed you! What about those that you betrayed? Let's start with me. When I disappeared did you even look for me? Did you even once think that I was still alive? Knowing you your thought process was something along the lines of 'he was too weak and died' and left it at that? I finally free myself from the prison my brother put me in and return home to find Kikyo dead and you working against Hell! Our own commander left his post for his own selfish reasons. You betrayed everyone by joining Cruxis! So did Morik! Of the two it was your betrayal that was a bigger disappointment and a bigger hit to moral! Say what you will about me betraying the betrayer, you brought it upon yourself." Oni had said all he had to say to Inferno at this point, but he wasn't done talking quite yet. Now it was time for him to speak to Kira without taking his eyes off of the behemoth in front of him.

"Kira return to Ragnarok, go to Mjollnir and tell Kal about the situation in Heaven. Tell him that if I don't survive this fight that I wasn't meant to lead Hell and ask him to assist Lucas as my final wish." He knew the wolf was going to argue with him, but his mind was already made up. "I won't die here wolf. I still have to settle things with a long list of people, you included. Inferno is just speeding up the timeline for settling things with him. So do me this favor and GO!" Kira may not have noticed that Oni had stopped reffering to him as mutt and started calling him wolf during their time in Heaven. It was Oni's way of acknowledging Kira as more than the burden he once saw him as. Now he only hoped that he could convince Kira to go so he could focus solely on the giant night light in front of him.

The left side of her lip perked up as she scoffed. The queen shook her head in disbelief.

"Ah yes the Cruxis. An annoying thorn in my side. So your...king... has joined forces with them? It seems like more and more people are joining up."

Hearing Inferno's name sent a slight pain inside. She did not know why it did, but she did know it was a sore topic to talk about.

"Acquainted is a such a terrible term to describe it. I have had the honor to fight side by side in battle with him. But he and my own husband decided it would be just fun to joined the Cruxis together and did not tell me. But I do not know how to feel about killing the only real friend I had ever had, or even imprisoning. But I am open to the idea of imprisoning better than killing him. I owe him my life, not to mention I'm part of the reason his son is dead."

Kikyo turned away from him so he did not see the pain in her face. Apart of her wanted to get sick. She knew it would be for the best. She was sure there was a bounty on her head because word gets around fast in Hell. As she turned around, her face turned to stone.

"So what does Heaven want to do with an alliance exactly."

As Kira threw Oni backwards he would twist in mid-air and land on his feet sliding backwards. Slowly Oni would stand back up and start a slow march forward back towards Inferno and Kira. "I am was the successor to the Ukia name. I was the first born son and failure wasn't an option for me. I devoted my life to pleasing my parents and I managed to live up to expectations. That is until my younger brother managed to do something that no other summoner had ever done before. He merged body and mind with one of his spirits. Once he managed to do it with one of them he managed to do it with all of them. With that one act I was forgotten and abandoned! After that I drifted lost in a daze with no purpose. I was on the verge of giving up when I found someone with a strength like I had never seen before and have rarely seen since."

A thunderous roar would escape from his lips as he marched back into the midst of battle. "You do know what I'm talking about don't you Inferno? The first time we met. I was in awe of your power and ask you to take me with you. Asked you to teach me. After proving I could hold my own against you, you agreed! After that I served under you and became stronger! Of course learning from you came with it's own price. I lost most of my humanity. I learned to lose myself in the thrill of battle. Even now I can feel that thirst for blood. Even though all that I still stand here a powerful fighter that knows that one man can never change anything on his own."

Oni would come to a stop a few feet behind where Kira was standing before his assault. "You say Roy was never supposed to follow in your footsteps. Did you ever tell him not to? No all you did was abandon him just like you did me." Oni would let out a low growl as he looked from Kira to Inferno. "Inferno none of us have had it easy, but you don't hear me and Kira complaining about our lot in life do you? So do me a favor and cut the poor poor pitiful me bullshit and man up already." Oni was done talking. If Kira wouldn't leave when asked he would have to force him out and then deal with Inferno. "Kira do you really think I'm so weak that I would let myself be killed by such a pitiful crybaby like this? I told you once already, now I will say it again. LEAVE! This is my fight. If you don't listen this time I can't guarantee that you won't become collateral damage."

Slowly the King of Hells eyes would glaze over as his body shifted in size and shape. He was now in his hybrid form, but something seemed different about him. His eyes were normally a vibrant crystal blue, but now his eyes had no color to them. No life, no humanity to speak of could be seen within his eyes. The beast was once more in control. "I'm comin for ya..." These last few words were covered in insanity. Oni had uncaged the animal he fought so hard to cage.

Kikyo took a moment to think about what he was telling her. She could bare the knowledge of knowing that Inferno would be imprisoned and not killed, but he made a valid point. Her mind was tearing into two between reason and emotion in which the new Kikyo was not supposed to do. New Kikyo was only supposed to think of reason, but this one was harder to try to push aside. She owes Inferno for saving her life...

"I will save his life by keeping him imprisoned. Nothing more and nothing less. He has committed treason against me, but I still owe him my life. He was a dear friend, but emotion aside I will do as I can to have both of them captured, safety aside. But my question to you, messenger, is how do you propose we do this? I'm sure if it was easy Heaven wouldn't try to seek council with me. And I've been dead for six years. I'm sure you guys had an idea or two, since Heaven likes to be the one running things. Example: Earth and it's people for centuries."

She took a few steps forward to become closer to the messenger and look him in the eyes.
"Last but not least, how do I know that this isn't a trick on me? I take out some of the strongest warriors Hell has ever seen, and then what? Does Heaven jump me when I have my guard down?"

Grand Dragon!!

Kira would have been on the move to try and confuse Inferno, but he quickly realized normal fighting tactic's were not gonna be of use to a being that wielded nothing but power, and he underestimated that amount of speed Inferno could create with those rocket packs in the back, then again he didn't know in the first place, and he would be paying for it shortly. "Easier said then done Oni..." He would put his sword in front of him again to use it as a shield, letting his left arm rest against the flat part of the blade to take the impact, and needless to say it was heavy, more so then he realized at first, that conserving power at this stage wouldn't work, he at least wanted to try.

"Gah!" He would take the hit full on, and just on instinct alone the flames would ignite around him, becoming almost like armor it would absorb the impact as well as the grip of the mean machine, even though he was caught the damage would be lessened, but he'd feel it for awhile afterward if he survives. As he got chucked through the pillars he would stagger in the grip going limp for only a moment but quickly refocuses keeping his attention on his flames for protection, and if Inferno was noticing at all those flames were getting hotter and more fierce. Finally he would meet the wall and rag doll along the ground from Inferno's throw, thankfully he shouted his attack before he started rolling, it was time for the counter
Rolling to his feet from the impact his vision was dizzy, needless to say the attack was quite the impact, and he staggered for a moment as he watched the energy gather from inferno's hand, he had little time to think and he would go over a quick run down of the damage.

'Legs...shaky, dodging is out of the question, and it's to big for me to dodge, oh well if i can't dodge it...i will cut through it!' Kira would bring his sword to his left hip as he took a quick draw stance, as if he had a katana, his eye's would have a glint of silver, and the flames would explode into the white flames from before and those flames would move towards the blade, the weapon it's self would make almost a humming sound as the wind and flames became more intense then ever before, and then destiny came. "Grand Dragon Art!" The flames would forge into a large white blade as the sonic sounds intensified even higher easily able for Oni and Inferno to hear it. "Sundering Mountain Slash!" He would step forward the sword swinging upwards then down, then upwards once more as three massive white blades followed Kira's 3rd swing to meet the attack, as it met the energy, and then the battle for power began.

Kira would roar as the atomic blast and his sundering mountain met and clashed in the center, and he would slide back little by little as the ground around the two attacks was no where to be seen, and the white flames struggled against the prized fighters attacks but it would become evident Kira's attack was slicing through the energy attack, it was incredibility intense as Kira's cloths started to get blown away, as if the damage before wasn't enough now the wolf had left were his bandaged arms and boots, pants, and knee pad, and his cherished necklace. "G-Gha! i-it's heavy!" He would close his left eye as he struggled to keep the stance against the attack but he wouldn't yield not yet screaming at the top of his lungs he summoned forth all the strength he could muster, and daunting a task as it was he cut through the blast, the two halves of the energy broke through the walls and exploded in the distance, however the toll was heavy, Kira wasn't used to the white flames, but the first half was done of the attack, what cut the energy besides the blade which was red hot now?

The swing generated yet another blade this time around it was as white as snow as it was targeted right at Inferno's chest his armor would not help him this time around, if he tried using his arm to stop it not only would it go through it and him, but also the fortress and into the sky, blowing the clouds away and shaking the entire landscape, and those in the city of hell would feel only a slight shake but it had that much behind it. Regardless of what happened next Kira would quickly reach into his pouch and pull out 2 potion's one red and blue and proceed to try and drink them before his attack hit Inferno, otherwise he'd be a rag doll coming up.

The request

Kira's eye's would widen as he would see the blast begin to shift and turn to explode, and he would realize where he was. "Oh this is gonna hurt..." He would bring the sword down in front of him as quick as he could and would leap back from the blast, there was no way he wasn't getting caught in it, and he would do everything he could to reduce the amount of damage that was coming his way. The flames around the sword would form into a shield that would be the first to take the impact against the atomic blast. As the blast left the whole fortress a loud bang would be heard from Kira's body slamming against and through one of the pillar's and his back would meet the wall and would slide down with the picture of Kira just sitting there with his head facing downwards, the white flames that were around his body would flicker and fade.

The fortress would start to come down around him as the sword he held onto that laid in his lap would have a soft glow as Azura would be released from the blade of her own will and would come alive to bat the rocks and debris away from Kira who laid motionless on the ground would have his eyes closed and smoke coming off his body. The dragon spirit would send out a cry each time it bat away some of the debris in hopes Oni would hear it or someone else, Kira would only be able to open his right eye slightly, even though everything was spinning and blurry he didn't make any other motion, and his grip on his sword would loosen. 'what...hit me...i can't move...am i dead? no...i am in so much pain it isn't funny, did...Azura protect me with the flames...those...crys whats happening...' Kira's body wouldn't even twitch as the sounds of Azura beating away the rocks and pillars with her spirit tail would make the sounds, Kira couldn't hear anything besides his companion's cry.

'That was stupid...why didn't i just reflect it...stupid adrenaline...well at least Oni will be able to have his fun...i think i will take a time out here...and rest...' he would slide his eye shut as he would still be where he was to begin with, and he would be barely breathing, however he did survive, if only by the devil's luck or angels? it depended who you asked.

The entire fortress was still intact, but the throne room was literally falling apart. The wall Kira landed against and slid down fell apart before him. The floor around him cracked apart and was now falling with the rest of the wall and ceiling. Pillars were collasping all around them. Inferno was no where to be seen as the smoke cleared revealing the damage that had been done. Kira would feel gravity shift all around him as the wall, floor and some of the left over pillars were falling backwards. Kira now have an bird's eye view of the entire fortress and all of Inferno's wastelands. It was a depressing site.

He'd be able to see parts of the throne room collide with other towers, smashing into them and breaking them into pieces. Oni would be on the side of the throne room that was still intact, with a good chunk of it was falling/collasping. Almost the entire floor was gone as it had hit the lower level and the ceiling quickly followed as well. But the walls and pillars around Oni still remained untouch almost. That didn't mean he didn't have to dodge everything else, like parts of the ceiling and a pillar falling his way. On top of the fact, Kira seemed to be out of it, the blast had done a lot more to him that he may have realized. Would Oni make the effort to save Kira before the part he was laying on crashed into the other side of the grand fortress?
