Jerry blinked, brows furrowing, "I've always cared! Sasha n' Candace just... just, just helped out a bit. I thought it was... was time for a change." He nodded proudly, reaching for his water glass and then looking disappointed that it contained water. "But uh... ahahaha thanks!"

"Well then I hope you keep it up..." He took a sip of wine. "...without the assistance of two women each time." A full grown man needing two women to get him looking decent was rather sad, but as long as Jerry learned and didn't drop back to looking like a hobo, then maybe there was some hope for him.

Lucky didn't miss a beat. "Szczeosny Brzenczyszczykiewicz." He flashed her an idiotic smile. "But 'Lucky' is... easier for pronouncing, Maebe." And then the worst joke in existence was suddenly born, to its own surprise and horror.

"Idaho. Preston, nothin' excitin' ever happens there, 'cept that one movie." She shook her head. "So, So-cal, huh? I knew there was somethin' I liked about you. You one 'a them beach babes?" Gnat drawled, grinning and elbowing him lightly. "For real though, your parents were military? Is it a family thing? Ours weren't, an' dad wasn't too happy when Tuck signed up." She could still remember the look on his face.

Jerry got a concerned look; he was clearly more than a little tipsy. "I don't see any women any more, but I think I see a little whiskey," Wash commented, leaning over to murmur the last into Sasha's ear. Drinking, and on a mission. With all the division leads too - the man was liable to get himself decommissioned, or killed. He supposed that was probably the same thing. His brows knit in a small frown.

Maebe stared at his mouth as all of those consonants started to roll off of his tongue. When he was done, she reached out, very carefully, and poked his lips. He won the weird name award. She felt like it'd just been ripped out from under her, and she was in awe of it. "Oh..kay." She breathed out. "Lucky, then. Could you do me a favor, sometime, and just.. just write out that entire thing that just came out of your mouth so I can see it on paper? Make sure you get a lot of paper." She whispered out a quick apology to Heidi, and then moved her chair closer to Jude to give Lucky room to sit between them. She even pulled his chair in, herself. "You look like a punk. What's going on with your hair, buddy?" She reached out and started pushing the green bits away, looking for the roots. "It's usually really hard to get color this bright on black hair.. I don't even see your roots.."

"Understandin' their needs, eh? Are you one o' them folks as dress up like with the collars an' what not and parade around? Sounds kinky." A waiter finally arrived with her little umbrella drink, and she took it in both hands, cradling it and cooing with pleasure. "I think I will have the number three, mon-sewer, an' lets do that bacon," she added genially, before spotting someone she recognized a few seats down. "Ooo-eee, Mister Collins!" she called, waving her drink. "Are you havin' a lovely time dear?" He certainly looked like it. Which reminded her - she drained her glass in one go, slamming it back down on the table with a little belch. "Pardon me."

Lawr gave Glenda a slightly haughty look. "A channeler has to understand what the animal feels like to fully interpret their needs." It wasn't kinky, some collars were very uncomfortable.
Melvin got a slightly more grim look. The other people, illusions, people appreciating feeling like they were going crazy. Lawrence was used to being the proportionally eccentric one in any given situation but since his arrival on the island he felt more and more normal.
He didn't like it. The closer to normal he got, the closer to his core self other people got. As soon as he got paid he was getting new clothes and ramping up the flamboyance significantly.
A wine was set down in front of him and he eyed it pensively. He'd already had too much alcohol, but these were exceptional circumstances.
He sipped it.
"Better out than in ma'aam."

Jude just scooted as Maebe attempted to make room for another poor hapless soul. There was just not a lot for him to talk about at this time. So he was mostly quiet and listening to the conversations of others.
...Mmm
He just enjoyed his glass of water for the time being. Nio Love Just showing that he scooted and etc.

"As I was saying," Aria continued after placing her order, raising her wine glass. "In order to pull it off, both teams will need additional recruits. Since you left both teams have all but dissolved." The woman across from Aria winced visibly, reaching up to tuck a strand of short dirty blonde hair behind her ear. "Oy, oy. Guess that serves me right for up'n'leaving without making sure everything would last." The woman reached for her glass, stopping to give Aria another look. "Wait. Both teams? Even your's?" Aria shrugged. "Yeah. Even mine. I have yet to locate any ideal recruits in order to rebuild, but at the same time I haven't been looking either. I fear sports hasn't been high on my list of priorities. And besides." The goblet of wine was set on the table as Aria leaned across it, lowering her voice. " You still owe me for that window." Further down the table, Lance was still looking at the menu trying to make up his mind. OOC Aria, Lance, and ??? are available to interact with!

"MISS GLENDA HI!!" Jerry beamed at his new friend, giving a wave and a jealous leer as the woman killed her drink. His pursed lips suddenly opened again in an urgent O as he leaned across the table toward her to hiss, "We're s'posed to be using code names!" He nearly knocked over one of the water glasses.

The drink set before Mimsy was examined thoughtfully, but remained untouched as she mulled over the words that slowly began sinking in. The rabbit was alive. It's gonna be okay.
She was alive, but it would not be okay if she settled with avoidance for the remainder of her existence. Not in the slightest.
"It was her," she mumbled urgently, her stare fixated on their hands in her lap. She made no motion to indicate who she was speaking to; it would be obvious, she assumed. "The one who found you. She is relentless, and every time she speaks to me, she speaks as if she knew me, as if she is seeing someone else in my stead: someone that she is waiting for."
Her words were clumsy, devoid of most of the eloquence she usually preferred, but it lacked importance in this moment. It had taken far too many 'deaths' for her to connect everything, to get from Point A to Point No, and each time before this she had progressed with relative ease, generally unfazed in spite of dying repeatedly. But this time it finally made sense. This time she thought she had unearthed the reason - and she had no intention of sharing that information on a wide scale.
"Не идти с ней. Пожалуйста."
When she finally looked up at him, her face held a slightly regained composure, her eyes less lost and distant. Most notably, however, was that through all of the remnants of panic and confusion and desperate steps between reality and theory, she looked very, very serious.

Candace gave Stormy a kiss against her temple and Gale one more hug before she disentangled herself from the two younger hunters. She would have loved to have spent all night with them but she'd just spotted Lance, it had been some time since she saw him. "You two find a seat somewhere, I'm going to go bother Lance."
She stepped away from the two to quickly walk up behind Lance, putting her hands on his shoulders and rubbing them quietly as she looked down at his menu. "I think you'd like the third set most," Candace suggested with a little smile, leaning over to rest her chin atop the man's head.

Lawr reflexively reached out to rescue the water glass Jerry swiped at, but his reflexes were a little dulled by alcohol themselves, and he managed only to salvage a spot of the water, the rest going directly onto the tablecloth.
He irritably used one of the napkins to try and salvage the situation.
"Jim. Wasn't it?" he said curtly.

It was Maebe's good fortune that Lucky had not accidentally pocketed one of the red ink murder pens like he had the dead guy's watch. Even the poking and prodding hadn't put him off of her yet. "Am happy to." The spoken Russian got his attention. His eyes twitched toward Mimsy and Kostya, but only for a moment. He returned his gaze to Maebe with renewed interest."Much bleach," he admitted, his voice quickening in pace in what was either excitement or hyper-focus about the topic, "But time does not allow for it. Is just growing out now. But, am think to pick different color for next time. Vhat you think of blue?"
