Matt had the hold locked in and he was ready to wear King down once and for all! However, he didn't expect the man to have fight left in him. After 2.0 slipped out of his grasp, he didn't let his shock overtake him this time. He threw his arm forward, going for a short-clothesline!

Too hard that it would turn out to assist King in his quest. Right as Kelly ducked and pulled him in for the 2.0ver position, his momentum was used against him; his face hit the mat hard, effectively causing the Flatliner to live up to its name.

Ah, but that was only part one, as 2.0 moved in a way that fans had not seen him move in YEARS. He moved his arm, leaned his leg up, and then slapped his grasp back together, crossfacing Matt's face with his leg, locking in a move he had passed down to his daughter, the Koji Clutch!

Pain. Agony. Despair. Anger. Those are just four words that could describe the mentality that Shanahan was beginning to descend into once the Koji Clutch was applied. His face was pulled back by King's leg, and his entire spine was bent. A roar of pure suffering ripped from his throat, echoing through-out the arena to magnify how much pain he was in. He had to get out of this, and fast.

2.0 nodded his head vigerously, shaking his entire body to wrench Matt's head back and forth as he pushed his leg back, causing more pressure on the Koji and on Matt!

Consciousness began to slowly slip away from Matt's mind as he struggled against the move. His hand slapped down against the mat as he literally began to try to drag him and and Kelly towards the rings at a snail-like pace, even with the move applied! Whether or not ropebreaks were valid in the match didn't even cross his mind. With his vision beginning to fade, he was reacting purely on instinct.

2.0 wouldn't dare let go of this hold. Ropebreaks meant nothing in no holds barred and he knew it. The referee knew it. The entire arena knew it. King tugged and pulled and shook and torqued, keeping Shanahan locked in, even tighter when he started to pass out!

Even with King yanking and shaking about like a calf having a seizure, Matt's strength proved to be superior as he found himself right in front of the ropes. He was inches away... before his sight finally gave out. His hand dropped down to the mat and the world around him ceased to exist. He was out cold from the Clutch!

2.0 kept the hold locked in as the referee came over to the ropes. 2.0 nodded quickly and vigerously, telling the referee to check Matt for conciousness and name him the ******** victor already!

The referee complied with 2.0's demands; after all, he knew better than to deny either one of them their victory at this point. Grasping Matt's limp limb, he lifted it up and let it go...

Thud.

The resonating sound of Matt's dead-weight arm smacking the canvas was met with the fans screaming "ONE!" The referee lifted his hand once more...

Thud.

"TWO!" The fans cried with excitement, it looked like Kelly King was finally going to put the monstrous God of Punks down for good. The referee lifted Shanahan's hand for the last time, then let it drop...

...

The fans were stunned at the sight of Matt's hand shooting forward and grabbing the bottom rope instead. Even if there were no ropebreaks, it was a sign that he was alive. His grip was tight and shaky, causing the entire length of rope to vibrate. He was still in this!

2.0 shook his head and his body and wrenched, clawed, fought, and most importantly, kept the Koji locked in as he tried to convince Matt that he was indeed NOT in this thing, but that he was actually well and above OUT of this thing! 2.0 tried to take his opponent's breath and conciousness!

Despite how tight the hold was, Matt's will to survive would overcome it! With one hand on the bottom rope, he lifted the other and gripped the middle one. One knee at a time, he pulled them up until he was at a base. From there, he tried his damnedest to lift himself up to his feet, with Kelly King still wrapped around his neck! Should he be successful, he'd do a 180 degree turn towards the center of the ring, and let his instincts go for a moment... from there, gravity would assist him as he fell forward, attempting to crush 2.0 underneath his weight!

2.0 hit the ring with all the weight of Matt behind him, causing his legs and arms to flail outward, releasing Shanahan from the pressure of the Koji Clutch and causing 2.0 to bounce up and down on the mat.

Damage assessment. King's ribs and chest and back were shot from the fall off the balcony, not to mention going through the table. His head hurt from multiple shots from Matt's fists and even his baseball bad, but his bleeding seemed to have stopped. For how long, who could say? His legs were, relatively, unscathed, allowing many of his best moves to continue to be performed. His strength was leaving him, and he knew; this match was going to end soon one way or the other.

Matt laid limp on the mat for a long moment, simply breathing in and out. Air was rushing back into his lungs, and it was a glorious feeling. He could just lay there and rest forever...

Not. One hand at a time, he began to try to push himself up. He was failing miserably, but it's the spirit that matters. With every push, he'd propel himself forward and away from King. The more space, the better right now.

2.0 had only been dropped on the mat, he'd been through worse. IN THIS MATCH nontheless. He started to stir and climbed up to his feet. The fans were chanting and shouting and cheering, but 2.0 needed to stay on the assault. Problem is, he didn't even see Shanahan.

As time went by, he managed to propel himself all the way to the ropes on the opposite side; not a safe zone, but it would help. One rope at a time, he struggled to pull himself up to his feet, staggering with each step on the way. Finally, he managed to get to his full height and turn towards King, on the opposite side of the ring; his back was turned?

What an awful predicament to be in, for The Godfather of Professional Wrestling, at least. Pushing off the ropes, Matt propelled himself forward in a crash course towards Kelly King at the top speed his physical speedometer could give him. At the last moment, he practically jumped to raise his right leg up for an overkill Big Boot; that boot was heading straight towards King's head.
