Eliza had found another balloon that had yet to pop. She gently scooped up the balloon with both hands and realized that it was starting to leak. With no real time to search out someone who had hit her before Eliza tossed the balloon at a random kid. The grin she wore when the balloon burst mirrored her overall mood.
She was glad that she had come to this event. She was having a fun time. It was better than sitting at home doing nothing.
Gathering more balloons, Trev was humming under his breath as he sized up the soggy crowd. Did he want to repay Eliza for her hit? Ehhhh... maybe. For now, he was happy to wander and take his time picking.
He could always go after Soggy Butt, v.2, but where was the fun in that? He'd already gotten her twice. After a few moments of thought, he decided to go after Eliza after all.
Winding his way back over to her general vicinity, he snuck up behind her and aimed for the backs of her knees. The balloon burst with a gratifying splash of water and he was off and running, giggling madly.
He was avenged.

Marisha glared playfully at the balloon before running and grabbing another. Quickly looking around she found another unsuspecting victim and got into position. Taking aim she threw the balloon towards the kid and watched as it flew gracefully through the air. Only to cry out in childish frustration when she missed entirely. She could not believe her luck had taken such a turn.

Dashing about and throwing balloons was tiring. Trev had found himself a momentary hiding place while he rested and got his breath back. While he rested, he decided to wing balloons out without really checking to see where they landed.
And so it was with his next balloon. He'd aimed (sort of, maybe) at a random girl streaking by and tossed. Annnnd missed. Oh well.

Marisha sighed and just grabbed another balloon. She was not going to let a few missed shots get her down she decided. With these thoughts she ran to another part of the field in hopes that a new location would change her luck. Spotting another kid nearby she quickly took aim and prepared to throw. Once ready she threw the large balloon at the kid and wished for it it hit. She then squealed in glee as the balloon popped and dump water all over the kid.

Things seemed to be slowing down a little, kids were wearing out. Ralph grabbed another balloon, that was okay he'd still throw things at the ones still in the fray; maybe the others would join back in later.
He had picked up a balloon that had been laying on the ground, it hadn't popped for some reason... However, when he went to throw it, busted on him. Causing him to miss his target.

Derek stuck his tongue out right back at her only to be interrupted by a balloon crashing on him. He turned and glared at the kid who threw it before returning his attention back to Eliza and hurling a balloon at her. It connected with her shoulder and exploded. Ha.
Well, much fun as not really trying was, Trev was suddenly feeling a need to prove himself. Surely all his other strikes couldn't have been flukes! So, he got to his feet and after scanning the field a bit, focused on a random boy about ten feet away.
With a wind up worthy of a major league pitcher, Trev let the balloon fly, shrieking gleefully and doing a little Happy War Dance in place as the balloon not only hit, but exploded beautifully.
Life was happy again. Until the next time he missed.

Happy over his latest victory, Derek hoped to score a second as he picked up another balloon. He eyed the field carefully. There were kids he'd been targetting and kid's he hadn't yet targetted..
Who to pick... who to pick.
Eyeing one of the kids he hadn't hit yet he decided well why not? SHARE THE LOVE. Or some such thing
As he scooped up another balloon into his confetti-covered hands, Griffin lurched sideways. Something had caught him on the shoulder, and he giggled as the water dripped down his arms and chest, tickling terribly. A quick look around confirmed his hunch: his rival had just made it clear that they were, in fact, rivals. He stared at Briar for a moment, then walked away oh so nonchalantly.
It was an act, and not a very good one. But Griffin wasn't going to cave to the desire to hit Briar back right away. Anyone could do that. He was going to do something surprising, something that would come when Briar least expected it. In the meantime, he still had a balloon in his hands, so he scanned the area and threw it at Marisha, then ran off in search of another one.
After targeting Griffin, Eliza had ended up being Briar's next target and he'd lobbed his balloon in her direction before dashing away - or at least trying to dash away.
Pausing long enough to scoop up a new balloon, Briar looked around for a new target.

Shrugging Derek closed his eyes and spun around three times before pitching the balloon over his shoulder. The balloon went sailing in the direction of Briar, and it missed.
Oops. He might be in trouble now.
He hadn't meant to do that.

Jason was getting winded again and decided that if this next balloon hit someone then he would keep playing but if not... he would take another juice break. So with crossed fingers he tossed the balloon as hard as he could only to watch it splash harmlessly against the ground... again.
