The coin sailed through the air, turning over repeatedly before landing squarely in his outstretched left hand.

"Jackpot."

As soon as he grasped it, he could feel a tingle travel up the length of his arm and make his insides all warm. Blinking, he felt as if someone had injected him with a starbucks expresso or somethin'.

He wasn't as exhausted as he should have been... but then again he was still under the effects of the vial he'd drank before coming here.

He didn't know how much time had passed, but if it wasn't for this sudden feeling of invigoration, he might not have lasted much longer.

Man... what a day. Everyone's freakin' out left and right.

Holding onto the coin, he reached out with his right hand and pulled out his Fang.

The feeling was back in it, he noticed almost too late; odd.

Greaves clunking along, yellowed eyes took in Alex as he approached her.

"Still in one piece I see."

"Damn..."

Vahn turned his head to the side, not really liking to stare at her while she vomited.

He looked back down to his pocket, which suddenly expanded and got really uncomfortable. He reached for what was supposed to be a coin, but what turned out to to be a necklace of some sort. And this reminded him of something, something that made him scoff.

He was ignored by Vahn, but he didn't expect conversation there anyway. He put the necklace around his neck and sighed, waiting for Shouyin and Myst.

"Well best of luck to all of you," Charles said with a nod. "I'm going to get Miss Browning here to the temple. When this is all over and the world's still intact, stop on by Alpha through Epsilon Corporation. There may be some jobs waiting for you all."

With that Charles walked Sam to the armored van which Stryphe had brought in and buckled her into a seat. Hopping into he driver's side he honked the horn at the group and started to drive off. "Take care and keep in touch!" he said with a wave.

"Yeah, I've got 'em, but they're pretty dirty right now, maybe we'll stop by a cleaners or something 'long the way." Shou smiled, and was about to raise a hand to Laz and head towards the car, when he remember Vahn and Alex. The Impala could certainly hold five people, if three squished in the back, but they might be headed their own way.

So he nodded at Myst and walked over to the two.

"Hey, so where are you guys off to now? Temple again?"

Hopefully somebody noticed and was okay with the man leaving with Sam, 'cause he was oblivious.

Alexiel shrugged. "I'm fine and the coat's alright... not fond of the color pink." Boy if she only knew that it was celestial and fire resistant. With her good hand, she dug in her bag and pulled out a bottle of not just ordinary painkillers... no, these were painkillers for livestock. See, Alexiel's headache wasn't any normal headache and she needed something a bit stronger. It wouldn't knock her out, but one or two would ease the pain, so she took one or two.

Shoving the bottle of medication back into her bag, as Dae dropped his shiney in as well for safe keeping, Alex closed the bookbag. Hissing in pain through clenched teeth, she pulled herself up. Steadying herself on the pillar as her head started to swim again and her knees buckled.

'I'll be ok... this is nothing... mind of over matter.' She thought to herself before reaching down to pick up her bag and swinging it onto her right shoulder. There was no way she could carry the saddlebags anymore and she wasn't really concerned with carrying them. Left arm hanging at her side, limp, and useless, and Dae perched on her right shoulder, she was ready to go. How far she'd get and what she'd be able to do was another story though.

"Well, 'Iunno 'bout you, but I'm not the kind of guy to just sit around my a** while the world goes to s**t. If it's gonna go to hell, I'd at like to have had some hand in stopping or accelerating the process."

He lifted his right hand and ran it through his hair, scratching away at the scalp in annoyance.

"You got any leads?"
