Even in the deepest darkness one will always find light

Willow winced in pain when Serenity dug her nails in to his hand. It did not look like it would hurt, but it was rather painfull Willow did not enjoy a minute of it. He did not mean her any harm he only wanted to talk to her seeing her strugle made Willow froun. He was about to let her go untill she took a bite of his hand. The pain made Willow yell. Willow's yell made the guards knock on the door. "Sir is everything alright in there. do we need to come in there and sub due the slave?" The guard asked he sounded both angry and ready to burst down the door at any minute. Willow looked at Serenity with blood now dripping from his hand then turned his attention to the door then back to the girl biting his hand. He did not want to see her hurtso he turned his attention to the guards. "Oh there is no problem here. You see I was checking out the room, and then I got my hand caught in the bathroom door. I did not realize my hand was still there and I went to shut it slamming my hand between the wall and the door." While Willow was upset he knew if he told the guards the truth this girl would be greatly harmed.

When she said to let her go Willow gave a push sending Serenity in to the bed. Willow did not want to seem mean, but it seemed that little stunt got Zeroes excited. though since the powers are canceled here Willow was able to keep that evil guy at bay. Willow did not know what would have been worse. Letting the guards in or letting Zeroes out. No Willow was pretty sure if Zeroes got out this girl would really be in for it. He has no sympathy or mercy. Normally the only time Zeroes is let out is when someone trys to fataly harm Willow. In which case Zeroes is unleashed and them proceeds to rip the assalients a new one. Willow noticed the girl's eyes were watering. Willow did not like seeing someone cry. Once again Willow got close and he took a cloth out of his pocket to wipe away her tears. "I am sorry about that. I mean you no harm." he said trying to br friendly while wipeing away her tears.

This wasn't how things were meant to go. Not at all. All he'd wanted to do was get his shopping done in peace and have it ferried over to his island home while enjoying a rare day out. By enjoy, it meant that Kaelan was - for once - left alone by the restless souls that he helped ferry to the afterlife. Sure he was hidden from sight by a long black velvet cloak, the hood so large it hid his face from view completely; the mask he wore on his disfigured side of his face was almost redundant. The only hint of colour on the man was the bright oranges and white of his cat, Pandora. Except Pandora was no longer curled up against his neck like a scarf over his shoulders, no, she was merrily running away from Kaelan, leading him straight up to some manor that was out in the middle of nowhere. Staring up at the manor as his car slid her way inside without much notice, the man groaned softly. Pandora obviously had a reason to scoot inside the manor, was she leading him here for a reason? Hoping to just pop in and out without being noticed, the plan in his head didn't go off the way he wanted - especially when a butler steered him towards an office, the man silently protesting that all he wanted to do was get his cat and leave.

The woman in the office seemed to think along the same lines as his cat, for not only did she seem like she'd been expecting him, but the damned cat was sitting on a chair waiting for him. Realising what this place was, Kaelan went from thoroughly pissed off to awkwardly surprised. He'd been thinking about hiring some help to look after his nuisance familiar now that his time was taken up with soul reaping, and although the surprise didn't register in his monotonous voice, the man was taken aback. The universe seemed to delight in manipulating him to it's will; he did work for it in a way after all. So what was so weird about them sending a message to him through his cat? Nothing, that's what. And that pissed him off. Kaelan didn't want to be around people, he just wanted to be alone, to live his morbid life without fear. But as his cat purred and nuzzled his legs, he felt his heart tighten and stomach clench - Pandora needed him around, so what harm was there in having just one person share his home? He'd barely see them anyway, right?

Walking down a hallway, he wasn't exactly too sure where he was being shown to. Face covered completely by the mask and hood still, the man kept his head down, favouring following his cat in the brightly lit hallway. God did he hate the light. A guard told him to stop by a door, but Pandora kept going. Frowning under his mask and hood, Kaelan snapped his fingers to make the cat obey, but she didn't. Instead, she circled by a door and mewed loudly. Confused, he clicked his fingers again, and once again, the cat mewed. Huffing, he wasn't game enough to assert his authority over his familiar when someone was close by, but he didn't need to, Kaelan soon understood why Pandora had gone to a different door than the one he'd been offered. His cat knew him better than anyone, so whoever was behind that door, either needed him, or he needed them. Given he hadn't really said anything about the person he was after (what was with all this slave talk anyway?), he'd just assumed the polite woman had picked someone at random for him to talk to. Picking his cat's preference over anyone else's any day, Kaelan ignored the guard and walked slowly over to the door, the cat mewing happily and pawing at the door like she desperately had to go in. "This isn't the right room, sir." The guard blatantly said, causing Kaelan to simply roll his eyes under his mask. "This is the one I'll see. I've been lead here for a reason." His voice was eerily soft, and incredibly monotonous to the point it was ghostly, but he got his point across and the guard reluctantly opened the door.

Instantly, Pandora darted in. Barging his way in, Kaelan had to put his hand up to stop his hood from falling off. "Pandora! Get back here." He hissed, his voice quite deathly now; the joys of being technically "undead". The cat on the other hand, was more content to sniff about the soul occupant of the room, a female. Mewing with great delight, Pandora was quite proud of her find, and nuzzled and rubbed up against the person as much as she could. There was something that Pandora liked about the girl in the room, and she wasn't going to give up this person without a fight. Feeling incredibly tense and nervous now, Kaelan moved on the spot, not wanting to get close to the person in case they caught a glimpse of how he looked. "Pandora, stop it. Get off her." It was a poor effort to get his cat under control, but Kaelan wasn't game enough to get any close to this person, even if his cat was already smitten with her. "I'm... Sorry." Was all he managed to get out, directing the hesitant apology to the female, his head bowed to his feet. This, all of this, was making him feel incredibly low and worthless. He just wanted to go home and hide.

ooc; I got there in the end, wheeeee~!!

Serenity Milana Stryker

"Why is it that when I tell people I'm a Nogitsune, the first thing they think is Evil?

Serenity flinched when she heard the guard's tone, knowing just as well as the male did that if he came in he would probably taser her or hit her with a baton to subdue her. She didn't know that these guards were better than the ones in the other shops, but it didn't make much difference from how scared she was, all sorts of possible things they might do to her going through her head.
Pulling away from him again, Serenity was surprised when he all of a sudden pushed her roughly back, making her hit the side of the bed. Almost instantly she was back in a tense position, ready to bolt somewhere else if he tried grabbing her again. But once he didn't, the girl was able to calm down just a little, watching him. He didn't seem like he was going to do anything sudden but she never knew and constantly kept her guard up just in case. Once he moved closer to her again, she moved away until her back hit the wall and watched, her tail curling around her as he took out a cloth. Tilting her head to the side in confusion, Serenity realized that he wanted to wipe her tears away and tried to force herself to stay still. He hadn't tried to hurt her even after she'd bitten him. Once he was done though she jerked her head away and moved to the side, getting to her feet and moving so the bed was between them. "Why did you lie to the guard?" She asked quietly, knowing that if he had said the truth then she would have been punished. "I bit you, aren't you supposed to be angry?" The girl really did feel sorry she had made him bleed but she couldn't help it. When Serenity was scared, her only thought was to get away and he had kind of given her no choice. She wiped her face, trying to get the blood off her teeth with her tongue then held on to her tail, moving it in front of her for a small level of comfort. "Wh...What's your name?" The girl finally asked, relaxing a little more now that more time had gone with him not trying to attack or grab her. Her eyes strayed to the bed again, wondering if hiding was a good choice, but she knew sooner or later he would have made her come out again. Something about him made her think that he was the stubborn type.

I am not evil, I am merely mischievous, there's a big difference you know!"

I am going away for a while, I'll be back, don't try and follow me.
I'll return as soon possible. You see, I'm trying to find my place.
And it might not be here where I feel safe. We all learn to make mistakes.
And run from them, from them, with no direction.
And run from them, from them, with no conviction.
'Cause I'm just one of those ghosts. Traveling endlessly.
I don't no roads, in fact they follow me. And we just go in circles.

Trixie gave a small smile as the male told her that it could be taken the wrong way, but she supposed that she had meant what she had said. Being almost too flirty was one of her biggest downfalls, especially when men called her out on it and wanted to take it further than just words. In which case, she typically ran an hid, which seemed rather immature, but... Who was judging?

After she exited the room, she leaned against the door and closed her eyes, happy to find something that intrigued her, but... He didn't seem to care for her too much... Opening her eyes, she looked down at her boots and her mind scattered a little bit. Was she really going to go home without a friend? Was she considering throwing a tantrum if he refused to go with her and would she end up dragging him with her? Possibly...

As the sound of two knocks on the door tore her form her thoughts, she hesitated to open it, but finally, her loneliness got the better of her and she opened the door slowly as he plopped on the overly plush mattress. He seemed to act like a feline in the way he stretched himself on the bed and Beatrix moved back into the room, shutting the door behind her and took a seat on the corner of the bed, perching rather than a full sit. That way, she could easily evade the male if he reached for her for any reason. "So. My name is Beatrix, I am a Hallows Eve spirit and I am looking for something to be a companion to me. I have no intention of treating whomever I take with me a slave, but more as a person. Oh... And you have to like cats... Jack wouldn't take anyone disliking him..." Trixie explained to him, trying to be rather straight forward and not trying to beat around the bush with it.

And now I'm told that this is life and pain is just a simple compromise.
So we can get what we want out of it.
Would someone care to classify broken heart and twisted minds.
So I can find someone to rely on and run to them, to them, full speed ahead.
Oh, you are not useless. We are just misguided ghosts. Traveling endlessly.
The ones we trusted the most pushed us far away.
And there's no one road. We should not be the same.
But I'm just a ghost and still they echo me. They echo me in circles.

He was still cringing, pulling himself away from both males in his room. Why hadn’t they left when he’d asked for them to leave? Why couldn’t they have just listened? Didn’t they know he would only tell them to leave if he couldn’t bear it? Or had the one male thought so much of himself as a Master that he could simply order Mateo around without a second thought? Now the poor ram was cringing away from both males, feeling twice as guilty as he had before the males had walked it. At least the guards had left him alone to his own devices. He hadn’t bothered anyone. He’d been by himself and not cost anyone anything. He’d simply been biding his time here. If he thought about it, he probably cost the woman that ran the shop a bit in food and clothing, but he didn’t infect anyone, or hurt them in any way. Now, he had struck out and possibly hurt the golden haired male very much. Worse, the little turquoise boy had seen it too. Now there would be two judgments against him on top of the one of his maker He wouldn’t be able to get back into the heavenly meadow. He had know that for a while, but he had hoped desperately one day he would have done enough good to redeem himself. Now with these two judgments, he was certain he would never see the grace and beauty of those far off meadows again. He would be condemned to live out his days n this terrible earth and then he would die and become nothing but ash and dust to fly in the wind. He would not be eternal. He would not make a big difference in anyone’s lives. He would simply waste away into nothing.

He turned his gaze towards his trembling hands, his eyes still wide, still trying to deal with the incredulity of his actions. He wished the males had left when he’d told them to go. None of this would have happened then. He put his hands to his head and drew himself up against the wall, trying to make himself small as possible. Maybe then they would leave him, and understand that he didn’t want their company. That he wouldn’t be a good companion. If only they could respect his wishes. That was when he heard the soft swishing of movement in front of him. His eyes went up immediately, searching for the source of the sound, and he found the turquoise male. Mateo’s eyes widened, and his body visibly tensed, trying to clamp down on the effects that the darkness within him might endue on this poor, pretty boy. He didn’t trust himself to speak, so instead, he watched as the boy moved slowly, cautiously towards him. Almost in a beeline, he took the path from the front, making sure his intent was plain. This strange blue boy was coming towards him, calmly, after everything that had happened, and the ram couldn’t believe it. He dug fingernails into the cloth and flesh of his thighs, trying to keep his hands busy so they would not have the opportunity to reach out and strike. It would be a fight for any more sudden movements to be made without the ram’s permission. He couldn’t have a second occurrence of what had just gone down. He had struck this master, and possibly frightened the blue boy. What would happen if his hands reached out and snapped the little blue boy’s neck? That’s what they desired to do. He couldn’t’ let it happen. He would be stronger than that.

When he was close enough, the little blue boy spoke. Mateo tried to think for a minute back to the name given. Nikki. He was certain that the blonde male had called the blue boy that. Biting his lip, he looked at Nikki, listening to his words Why was he afraid? Because he didn’t want to do bad things. He knew he was hurting people and he couldn’t stop himself. He was afraid of being out of control. Then Nikki made an offer. Taking away some of that taint. Why would he do that? Did he not see what the darkness did? It transferred from one being to another and ate away at a person. Mateo shook his head, the shock of the offer almost making him lose control of the clamped down energy he had. He looked at Nikki, even more tortured. His breathing picked up with the effort of trying to be good and not hurt this frail looking male. At least the other, Azazel, was built, and probably could have taken the hit. If the darkness took over, they could very well kill Nikki, and Mateo would not let that happen. He had to protect this blue boy. He was smiling so serenely, as if nothing could bother him. He clearly didn’t understand the weight of his offer. What it would mean for him. What it could do to him. It was all the more a reason that Mateo could not allow him to do such. The ram was about to speak when Nikki challenged him again. The ram’s eyes opened wider and he jerked his head in a shake quickly, trying to keep Nikki away from him. He didn’t know what he was going to get himself into. It was going to be dreadful, and Mateo couldn’t let it happen.

It seemed though, that the ram didn’t have an option. Nikki leaned up and pressed his own lips to Mateo’s. The ram immediately felt the effects and a new war raged within him. This boy was taking away his taint! He wanted it gone. He was so happy for the relief that came with it, but he knew that it was selfish to indulge in something as such. This boy was going to be tainted now too! The poor man, Azazel, would have two destructive and uncontrollable males if he really planned on taking both of them home. Mateo moved to pull away, but felt as though he couldn’t. He didn’t understand why he felt that way all of the sudden. He didn’t know if it was his own power, or if it belonged to Nikki. He simply couldn’t pull away. But Nikki parted them soon enough. Mateo sagged back, unsure of what to say. He was frazzled, feeling much better than he had in ages, and he didn’t feel so violent or angry or panicked. He just felt… well, he felt empty. He felt exhausted. The stress and tension of holding everything back so he wouldn’t hurt anyone had always kept him alert. Now that there was no darkness boiling at the edges of him, threatening to take over, he didn’t have to try to rein it in. And he just felt exhausted from the effort of doing such for so long. He looked to Nikki, seeing what appeared to be a healthy flush on his cheeks. He didn’t understand it, but the blue boy looked happy. Even pleased, as if he were satisfied with what he had just done. The ram didn’t understand it at all. How could anyone be happy when they had just eaten darkness?

Mateo didn’t realize his hands were still in Nikki’s hold, but they were almost lax, hanging loosely from his grasp. He didn’t care what Nikki did to him at this point. He just wanted to go to sleep. He was certain he wouldn’t get the opportunity, but it was a fanciful dream. Hearing Nikki explain what he had just done, Mateo raked his eyes over the blue boy once more, pretty much forgetting Azazel was still in the room, probably watching the exchange and making more judgments against him. Mateo didn’t even care at this point. When Nikki mentioned Mateo leaving with them, the ram looked at him weakly. ”Why would you want me to come with you? I’m not worth anything. And you shouldn’t have done what you did… I’m more trouble than it’s worth. Why would you want me to come along? The ram looked sadly at Nikki before passing his half-lidded glance to Azazel, wondering very much why the larger male was interested in him. After all, it seemed as though Azazel was in charge. So what did he want from the ram? Mateo was honestly just too tired to care. He had a feeling he would only get to sleep if he left with the pair and sighed, giving in. he just didn’t have it in him to fight right now. He was trying so hard not to shift, even though his exhausted state made his body vibrate with the need to change. He was too prideful to do it here, in front of these two men. He simply couldn’t. ”If I go with you now, can I rest? Will I be left alone?” It was a selfish request, but Mateo was simply done fighting. He was past the point of taking anymore, and he was surrendering to fate and the hand it had dealt him.

Maybe... Maybe he had been wrong?

It wasn't often the vampire would admit that, being quite the proud fellow he was, but he was so sure that Mateo had wanted to hide, not be seen, that's why he offered the darkness. He'd quickly moved himself away from the path the ram had taken, watching the poor creature slam into the wall. Folding his arms over his chest as the creature demanded he left, Azazel stood his ground. About to answer, a flash of blue in the corner of his eyes made him stare. Nikki? Hadn't he told him to keep away? Hadn't he tried to keep his bluebell safe? "Nikki!" He growled, admittedly quite fiercely, to try and keep his precious Incubus safe. About to command him to keep away, he stopped himself once he saw that Mateo wouldn't hurt his precious boy. Staring in surprise, he kept his hands down by his sides in case he needed to make a quick move, his body ready to pull the bluenette away from the Ram. What followed further surprised the vampire, but also make him nervous. Nikki was going to remove some of Mateo's taint? "Nikki..." He whispered, running a hand through his hair as the delicate looking being kissed Mateo.

A few nerve-wracking moments later, Azazel let out a long slow breath as Nikki pulled away from Mateo, looking incredibly proud of himself, and quite flushed. He could sense a change in the way Mateo's blood flowed now, and the scent of it too. It smelt cleaner, fresher. Rubbing his chin as Nikki explained he could help, Azazel found himself softening. He couldn't believe he was beginning to feel warmth right now, but he put it down to being tired. It was getting very late for him, drawing ever closer to midday, which was putting him on edge. Noticing a set of eyes on him, Azazel turned to look at Mateo. He looked so weak, so run down... So cornered. His blue eyes softened without him realising as he took slow, steady steps towards Mateo and kneeled before him, taking the Ram's hands from Nikki. "Mateo, you can rest all you like. There is garden space you may run around in. There is room for you to be alone." It wasn't until he was conscious of his actions that Azazel realised he was stroking the backs of Mateo's hands with his thumbs. Letting go slowly, he stood up and helped Nikki up along the way. "You did vell bluebell." He murmured, pulling Nikki close to kiss him on the forehead tenderly before moving away.

Looking down at the vibrating Ram, Azazel felt his stomach twinge. He'd acted without thinking before - just because he lived in darkness didn't mean someone else had to. The proud man would never admit it, but he felt guilty for pushing Mateo, and reaching out slowly, he lifted the Ram to his feet to help him stand. "You can be as alone as you vish. You may rest too. You vill never really be alone here, may as vell be alone in comfort and style." And wrapping his arm at a modest point around Mateo's waist, he lead the Ram out the room, nodding for Nikki to follow. Azazel knew Mateo would not fight now, the Ram was too tired to really object to everything going on, and with only one thing left to do - pay for his little sheep - it would be time to head home. It wasn't much of a walk back through the manor to finish the transaction to allow his Mateo to leave with himself and Nikki, but Azazel helped the male every step of the way if he needed it. He wasn't going to have his Ram hurt himself again. He wasn't going to hurt his Ram again. The feelings inside the vampire were weird and quite confusing; he actually felt a strong level of compassion for both his boys when generally he would just see them as playthings, simple toys to use for his own pleasure and nothing else. Maybe it was the way Nikki had interacted with Mateo after his outburst that made him feel this? Or maybe it was simply because he was tired and he tended to get quite soft when tired.

Wrapping himself tightly up in his trench coat, hat shoved back on his head, Azazel left the manor with his two new companions. It wasn't an overly long drive back, but the whole travelling close to midday was beginning to get Azazel worried. Looking around the carpark, his shining black Dodge caught his eye immediately and he guided Mateo and Nikki over to it. "Ve vill go straight home now. Any shopping vill have to wait, it is too late in ze day now. Be careful near ze car too." Sounding thoroughly more stern upon warning the two to be careful around his pride and joy, the male retrieved his keys and quickly opened the doors. There was enough room for Mateo in the back, so he guided the Ram in carefully so no-one scratched the paint, and once the seat was clicked back into place, he helped Nikki into the front seat, perhaps a little too formally; he treated the petite bluenette like a proper lady. Shaking his head as he walked to the driver's side, once he was in the car the trench coat was undone and the hat was taken off - thank you special tinted windows - the car roared into life and Azazel was on his merry way home. Admittedly, the vampire had a bit of a lead foot, but when your car roared like a majestic lion, what was wrong with going just a little bit over the speed limit? Not to mention any second from here on was wasted sleeping time.

ooc;; Shorter than I wanted, but the tour post of his home is going to be loooooooooooooonnnnnnggggggggg XDD

RUNNINGout of time....

<<<<<<<<<<

>>>I know I've gotta findYOU....

<<<<<<<<<<<<

>>>>>>Wonder if you're evenTHERE....

( Where are you? Where are you! )

Soft, slow talking from outside her room, in the hall not far away from her location caught the young femme's attention. Her ear's focused, high on alert and her bulb-ish eyes fluttered open to reveal silvery blue discs with a entrancing black slit in the middle. Her senses, other than her vision, were very keen and she doubted she wouldn't be able to understand what was being spoken about just outside her door. Is another slave being taken, or is it my unlucky day? Because of tragic events and happenings in her past, she is straight narrowed on believing that all masters and all men to generalize it, are untrustworthy and she has yet to meet a man to disprove her. The memories were too much to overcome and she cringed at the thought of receiving yet another abusive master. It's hard to fight off a strong authoritative master when you're blind, small, weak, and helpless.

She hardly stirred, listening for the conversation, curious but cautious. Her left hand brushed over the silky blanket and developed into a small fist as it made it's way up to her eye. She gently rubbed her eyelids, small balls of sand falling from the pockets of her bottom eyelid and disappearing on her blanket. Her short silvery hair covered her eyes and the side of her face, dripping a few drops of water on her fine skin. Cat's hair was still damp from a shower she had taken just hours ago. With the help of a aid, she attempted to rid herself of the very cold that strived to take over her body and weaken her further, but without proper drying, she wouldn't doubt if the water that dampened her baby smooth skin, only caused the cold to sicken her worse.

Catalina sniffled , trying not to attract any attention from outside of her door and also attempting not to hurt her sinuses any further, but keeping snot from slithering down her lip. A mild cold had overcome her just days before and she's been trying to recover with sleep, but she has been having troubles sleeping. The taunting memories of her previous owner haunted her dreams every once in a while, which caused her to wake up a lot. She was still shaky from the recurring dream she had been having lately, but it was not a nightmare, just a dream that was a collection of quick flashbacks. Some of her home, some of her mother, some of her previous master. Everything that she wants to forget, and everything she longs for all in one and to think about it again pained her heart. It felt like her chest was just a empty space, only for cold air to fill up.

After a moment, the talking seemed to be just at her door and it seemed like males voices. She became quit confused when she heard scratching on her door. Something, she normally did not hear. Another odd thing was she heard a light whine. It was unique, like a meow. Another several times the sound echoed through her mind and she became a little anxious, uncertain as to whether this was a simple creature, or a danger to her. She shut her eyes tight as quickly as possible and remained motionless as she heard the locked on her door release and the door burst open. Looks like it's my unlucky day after all.. A deathly rant spurred into the room as the light sound of patting feet neared the bed. The voice, it was very genuine but masculine and she sensed a anger inside him. Who or what was this Pandora?

A new presence hopped onto the bed with Catalina. A little critter of some sorts. It's soft fur and wet nose rubbed against her as it flaunted itself all over her in loving affection time and time again. It made that strange meowing noise continually. When the animal first made contact with her, so closely to her face, her eyes shot open and she gasped a lung full of air in. Just the touch of the creature gave Catalina goosebumps and her tense body sat straight up, scooting back only to hit her head on the wall. She furrowed her eyebrows and rubbed the back of her head as she brought her knees up to her chin and avoided the creature. The creature's capabilities was unknown to her and she didn't want to risk anything, even if the creature seemed to be giving her kind gestures. She could never be to sure. Her breathing was quick but quiet and she stuffed her face in her knees, hiding her eyes from the males in the room. She felt useless when people found out she was blind. She has always been severely criticized being blind and a slave. She was even considered to be put down like a pet.

Catalina was quite surprised at this man, who seemed to be trying to get the creature under control, apologize to her. She didn't receive very much respect at all, being a slave so this was a major shocker. She refused to assure him that it was okay though, because at first confrontation, she was always very shy. In fact, she's always meek and timid, ever since she was tamed and abused by her masters of the past. She wrapped her arms around her shins and shuffled closer to the back of the bed. Why me, of all slaves, why does the useless blind girl have to be picked? Next door I'm sure there's some feisty snappy girl who'd enjoy a male master, or maybe a few doors down there might be a young boy willing to protect. Why must I keep going through this. I go through so much work just to get rid of my masters. Obviously, the creature wasn't obedient but it was domesticated so it must be tame. Maybe it's not a threat but Catalina didn't want to find out..

Willow held his hand normally something as small as a bite would be no bother to the angel-demon, but with the barrier over the mannor he was as flimsy as a human. Barrier or not they can not stop having sharp teeth that was for sure. He could see this girl was scared, he could not blame her. Being in her position Willow would be scared to being forced to be sold like a common possesion. As a slave she pretty much lost all her rights that is if the master was evil. Someone like Willow would not stand for abuse of another creature, Zeroes on the other hand would get a kick out of the whole thing. That is why he is locked deep with in Willow's mind. When she spoke Willow listened."I lied to the guard cause it looks like you have already been through enough trama. That and it was just a bite it is not like you were trying to kill me or anything, if possible I would prefer to avoid any violence what so ever.." After waying the the girl mentioned something about being angry. "I am very hard to get angry I have a firm grip on my emotions it is very hard to push me over the edge." Willow smiled at the girl. It seemed like she was feeling more at ease that was good. Willow felt happy that she was finaly calming down and letting out some of the stress she had been holding on to. After a few moments she asked him his name. Willow did not answer right away he walked over to the bed and took a seat he was rather tired of standing, and wished to rest his feet. As he sat he noticed the bed was rather soft. Not something you would expect in a slave cage. You would think they would get like something firm and uncomfertable, but no this bed is really nice and soft. Kind of like the ones you would find at a hotel Willow was really suprised. Turning his attention away from the strangly comfertable bed he returned his thoughts to the girl."My name is Willow James Peace it is a pleasure to meet you." He said with a smile. "May I ask your name?" he asked hoping the scared fox girl would tell him her name so he would have something to call her by.

The man kneeling before her was incredibly handsome. It reminded her of all the handsome princes and dukes that would come to speak her father. Of course she was never really allowed around the other men. Her father had feared that little Ellie would be taken away and mistreated because of her weak powers. Besides, the rabbit demon had no desire to marry and this truly pleased her father. After all, the man wanted to protect her only precious princess. Shining crimson eyes watched the man with great interest. Her ears twitched as her tailed did the same, wondering what and why he had come here. Obviously it was for a slave, but Ellie couldn't help but wonder why this man would want one. He was very handsome and his clothes spoke of wealth. Smiling gently at him, she took his hand, marveling at the warmth and kindness it gave her. He was indeed a very kind man, and the offer of being returned to a lavish lifestyle shocked her. A lifestyle that she had had since birth, one that she was used to. The promise of being treated like the princess she was made her blush and giggle softly. "Mr. Shaynea’lann O’Hara you are quite kind, but I do not need such things anymore. It is true that I was once a princess but that part of my life is now over. The lifestyle you are offering me is a very kind and generous offer but it is unnecessary."

Ellie hoped that she had not insulted the kind man, but the frown on his face made her frown as well. "I hope that I've not insulted you. I had no intention of doing so. It is just that you taking me from this place is the greatest gift anyone could give me." Giving his hand a reassuring squeeze, the rabbit demoness smiled gently at him, blushing brightly but smiling brightly when he agreed to let her speak to her father. Her ears perked up and her tail started to wiggle with excitement. He was even offering to free her and take her back home... which wasn't what she had really wanted. She was a burden to her father as well as a threat to him. No.. with her there he wouldn't be able to fight this war properly. Crimson eyes quickly widen as the handsome man in front of her said something about her promising to stay with him. He... he really wanted her? Well.. that was a stupid thought. After all, he WAS here for a slave, wasn't he? "If you would just let me talk to my father that is more than enough... I have no desire to return back home. I would only be in the way and... my father believes that I left to be married... so you see, if I returned home now then they will believe that I was either insulted by the prince who sent the request to marry me, or that I was untrue to my words." It was terrible to lie to this man, considering that had been nothing but kind, but it was rather embrassing to admit that she was entirely defenseless. Ellie was considered to be an embrassament to the royal lineage. All in all, that request for her hand in marriage, was probably a trap in order for her capture. Her father had been right to reject it. They had wanted to use her for ransom.

Hiding the pain behind her eyes, Ellie stood up, pulling at his hand to stand with her. He was really tall and gave off such power, one that promised to protect everyone and anyone. Did that mean that he woul protect her from people that might try to come and take her? Ellie knew that she had been protected her in the shop, but what would happen as she left? Closing her eyes and inhaling a deep breath, Ellie opened her eyes and smiled at him.
"So... if it is alright with you... may I stay with you? I'll try not to be a burden for you and will help you in whatevery way I am able." Looking embrassed and looking down at their feet, her ears twitched. "I will admit that I'm not very good at things like cooking or cleaning... but I am willing to learn if it will help you Mr. O'Hara! I'm not very useful because my father wouldn't let me do very much except read and study." The young woman knew that she might not be the strongest princess but she was incredibly bright. Politics and history were some of her favorite lessons, and her father had insisted that every princess should know how to deal in politics. "I just want to be in some use for you... I'll never be able to repay the kindess and generosity that you have shown me." Looking up at him she flashed him a bright and happy smile before giving him a curtsy. Straightening back up, Ellie smiled gently. "I am yours to serve for as long as you wish to keep me."

Ellie was determined to make this man happy, and she would do everything in her power to do that very thing! The demoness only hoped that her clusmy nature wouldn't get in the way.

Aurora blinked, pausing as she thought about his question. He raised a good point, after all—how in the world could she know exactly what she used when she didn’t even know what she was?
“It just wouldn’t make sense.” She explained after a moment, hesitant, “Everything they did to me seemed to affect my thoughts and what I can do with my thoughts… nothing to do with wind… so you must be mistaken.” She added, her eyes widening slightly at his next statement. She quickly turned her gaze towards Michael before turning her paling face back towards the tall man. “R-really, there’s nothing much interesting about us! We’re r-rather normal actually.” She quickly tried to explain, her tone hurried and slightly panicked, making it sort of evident that she was mostly lying. “M-my brother’s practically an elemental and most people see me just as an ordinary telekinetic—nothing at all interesting about that. There are plenty of others that can do those things, and we’re certainly not the only beings that don’t age!”turning her eyes away as the guard stepped forwards. She wasn’t exactly very fond of the workers here, understandably, so it was only natural that she shrunk back as the man moved forwards. “A-a-and… and we c-can be difficult to d-deal with! If w-we get separated then w-we’d get sick and die, and Michael’s really picky about food and y-you know how kids can be… always getting into mischief… R-really, we’d just b-be a waste of your money.”

By this time Michael was awake and Aurora had attached herself to him, jumping a little when her brother raised his voice. Now they were trapped in there. With him and whoever it was he already had purchased. That was, realistically, one of the last thing either of the twins wanted. The already enclosed space seemed to get smaller with the sudden crowdedness and Michael grew quickly more agitated, while Aurora released him to take a step back, cornering herself between the wall and the tall bed.
“Michael…” she warned quietly, her quavering voice echoing silently through all their minds as she brought her hands up in front of her chest, anxiously toying with her fingers to keep herself busy.
“Yea I would have an issue you narcissistic oaf!” Michael shot, ignoring his sister’s warning, “So why don’t you just back the hell off and find somebody else to bother!” Despite being nearly half the man’s height, Michael stared him dead in the eyes, refusing to back down. Frankly, this wasn’t some game to him. For Michael his sister’s well being came above all else, and something about this guy really threw him off—the last thing he wanted was to let this creep take Aurora.

“Michael!” Aurora insisted again, trying to calm her brother down. Frankly, enticing conflict wouldn’t end up well for them whether or not this guy chose to buy them.
“Michael what, Aurora! Do you really want to just let this creep walk all over us?” he shot, turning around and giving her a frustrated and slightly annoyed frown.
            “N-no, but…”
“What if he’s like those guys from before, huh?” Michael shot, scorn evident on his features, “Look at how many he has—what if he’s just going to do more experiments like those people from before? We were lucky to survive last time, and only God knows what they stuck into us… not to mention that tornado or whatever that nearly obliterated us along with the rest of that place!”
“Michael! Please!” Aurora insisted, beginning to tear up. That was the last thing she wanted to think about, and soon her lower lip was quivering, “Don’t… don’t make me think about that place… please!” the boy crossed his arms, glowering slightly but falling silent before letting out a heavy sigh, turning his back outright on the three at the doorway, moving towards his sister and hugging her tightly, quietly apologizing for upsetting her—he knew how sensitive she tended to be about those sorts of things, after all.

Watching the scene, Kaelan began to notice small discretions that just didn't add up. The way the girl scooted away from Pandora looked more like someone who didn't know what they were seeing or feeling. Even Pandora seemed to begin to act different around the girl who was curled up into a defensive position, trying to hide herself from sight. Looking to his cat, the colourful creatures large yellow orbs looked straight at Kaelan, and the softest of mews sounded. Pandora could smell something he couldn't, sense something his otherworldly senses weren't able to grasp. "Come away now, pet." He asked softly, keeping his voice as quiet as possible. At first, Pandora actually obeyed her Master, gently jumping off the bed and making it look like she was going to walk up to him. But, looking back, the fluffy ball of colour sat down in front of the bed in a most stubborn manner. Huffing softly, Kaelan rubbed the visible parts of his face, pacing just a little. There must have been something about this girl that was making Pandora act this way, but what? He could always... No, he was only meant to use his otherworldly magic to help souls cross the bridge between worlds. But he could use it to see if she was living? Pandora was meant to seek out the dead, and he could see the dead like they were still flesh and blood in this world. Stepping back into the far corner of the room away from the girl, he pulled out a small black disk inscribed with arcane magic runes. Mumbling something in Latin, words so quiet he could barely hear them himself, the runes glowed for a moment. Closing his eyes and breathing deeply, Kaelan slowly opened his eyes and expected to see a ghostly blue aura around this woman. Pandora had a calming purple glow of a familiar, or magical creature, his own aura was black if they were out in the open, but her's...

It was a celestial blue. The kind that shouldn't be on a human. Taught early on in his new life path to recognise this hue and to never approach them or interfere with what they were doing, Kaelan just stared. She was some kind of Celestial being, but he wasn't sure what. The only one's he'd ever been told about were the ones that protected the innocents, the pure-hearted humans that still existed amongst the evil, or the Angelic Celestials that aided the Angels to ferry those pure hearted away when their time was right. He was just a servant of them all, a vessel to send all the others to their rightful ending plain. Putting away his run, Kael swallowed nervously. A person of her aura should never have been placed into this industry, so what happened. Admittedly, the man was wary of anyone with a Celestial or Angelic aura (the Angels had the purest white aura you'd ever see), but she appeared quite young, but not young enough to make him feel comfortable. Why? The younger a being like her looked, the older they were, and they would never end up captured. Taking slow steps forward, Pandora got to her feet and began to wind herself around her Master's legs, as if she was encouraging him on. Getting close enough so she could hear him, but still far enough to show he was quite afraid to speak to her, Kael cleared his throat.

"Don't... Don't fret, please. I just want to ask something." Voice the kind of quiet that one would associate with a man that found fear in talking to people. "What... How did... How did someone of your stature end up in a place like this?" Yes, it was forward, but Kaelan was generally curious. It wasn't often his arcane disk showed him something that could actually be considered positive, so the Celestial girl was definitely a different change of pace. "You're a celestial-type being. Your kind - all the celestial beings - just don't end up in this place." Admittedly, this information might have come as a shock to the girl - the fact that a total stranger knew what she was - but Kaelan didn't think that way. Facts were facts, and that was it. Yet, stepping forward a little bit, he began to notice a few other things. The girl had acted like she couldn't see Pandora before, the sudden touch of something on her body had sent her reeling back away from whatever it could be. The shock of a strange thing touching her had been frightening enough, and looking to the cat who'd jumped up onto the bed again, he shook his head. Fluffy tail flipping back and forth, the cat just stared at Kaelan for a moment before placing a single paw on the girls foot, eyes still on her Master. Swallowing once again, Kaelan took in a deep, slow breath before asking a very important question. "Miss... Are- Are you blind?"

RUNNINGout of time....

<<<<<<<<<<

>>>I know I've gotta findYOU....

<<<<<<<<<<<<

>>>>>>Wonder if you're evenTHERE....

( Where are you? Where are you! )

Clear water-drops slicked down the lustrous skin that was tightly wrapped around Catalina's shin. Each drop, which originated from her damp hair, ended at the toes of her feet when they met the fabric of the sheets and were absorbed. Her fleshy body began to slightly shiver, still cold from her shower. Now that it was exposed to the chilly air in the room, her skin began to develop small little bumps like that of a goose's skin, under all the feathers. She felt a throb at the pit of her small stomach, and very slowly she felt something crawl up her throat. It was nausea itself. How she hated the times when her weak body became the victim of something so small, something any normal creature could overcome in less than a day. What was it about her that made her so sick prone? Always being a little ill here and there did nothing but cause problems, and it never went well with any of her past masters. Then again, she's never really had a master that loved anything about her besides her feminine parts. She doubted that would ever change, because it is so very unlikely to find a master like so. From everything she knows, from everything she has experienced, she knows that men, are such disgusting creatures that should have been overlooked long before they began to overpower Earth. But then again, many males in the skies were very dominant, so she couldn't really blame man for all of it.

Every now and then a couple small whimpers would stir from her, but other than that she could have been a statue. The young femme was unhappy of her visitors, especially the furry one, whom seemed to favor attention, since the little creature continued to rub. That was, until his master called him away one last time. Thankfully, the creature seemed to obey, but the visitors from the sound of it were not leaving. They weren't moving towards the door, but instead she listened in on the male's steps, which were moving in the other direction to the opposite side of the room. The farther from her he was, the better, she thought, but she was still wary of his presence, as well as his pet and crudely wish they had never come to her door. It just never made much sense to her, why she had always been a top choice of slaves, when she never does anything. She knows very little of Earth, but speaks the English, French, German, and Italian languages very well. It was required to know a few languages from Earth when she was studying the planets she was assigned to protect after her schooling. She never really finished her warrior training and survival training, which would explain her weakly being that was presently huddled up in a ball on the bed of a slave market. Her comforter that once was spread over her curvy body was now rustled and wrinkled about, half on the bed, and half off. The back of her head still ached a bit but she had already forgotten about the pain. It was minor to her interests as of that moment, when the room turned completely silent. Her curiosity rustled out and about inside of her and she was aching to know. Without noise, it was hard for her to depict the situation.

She was confused and frustrated, wondering whether the visitor was still there or not. She wanted to know, but wasn't curious enough to lift her face. She couldn't let him know of her disability. She was so afraid he'd criticize her, call her stupid or useless, like so many have before him. It finally pleased her to know the man was still there, but what made her curious mood change insignificantly was that he was getting closer. He was stepping towards her, but not close enough for her to feel threatened enough to act upon it. His voice, nervous sounding, made her jump a bit. It was quite unexpected, especially in such a settle, quiet place. The silence was broken and her ears rang a little bit. The fact that he was kindly talking to her, and that he had a question brought many questions to rumble up in her head. He seemed fearful, but why? Everything, seemed to so off. It was strange. What did he mean by her stature? He couldn't have already known of her race.. unless he was told but that's unlikely. They usually don't give all the details until masters begin to buy the slave. Was he something magical? He just seemed so... human. Normally she would have just moved on from the question, completely ignoring it but she was afraid even by the sound of him, if she ignored it she'd get yelled at with a few slaps. She just couldn't shout out that she was banished though, that's something you just tell people. It brings up the wrong idea. So what could she tell him? His knowledge about her, amazed her. She was in pure disbelief and when she heard him speak of Celestial beings, she slowly lifted her head, her eyes staring down at her feet, her head bowed. She still didn't want him to see, but If she was going to speak, she couldn't speak with her face shoved in her knees. He was right though. Catalina had yet to see another Apsara in this very marketplace. In fact, she knew that only a handful of others like her were banished to Earth, and they were able to keep their eyes and some kept their wings.

"Th-They caught me at my weakest...", she quietly muttered shamefully. Her race was known for their nobility and how powerful they could be, to battle enemies whom weren't welcome around the stars. Catalina was just a poor example of them, just a humiliation. It was all she knew to say.. Hopefully he'd understand. Hopefully he wouldn't ask further upon it, as it still pained her, and it hurt worse every time she was reminded of it. She hesitantly scooted a few inches away, as she heard the man's foot step towards her again. She could practically hear his breathing over her own, heavy breath. She was nervous, shameful, and shy. All these feelings caused her to turn on full alert. She turned her head to the side as she heard the small creature pounce onto her bed once more. Cat tried to scoot farther back, but she was already pressed tightly against the wall, as far as she could go. She flinched as she felt the creature's limb brush over her foot and she scooted farther to the other side of the bed, her damp hair swaying. She was close enough to the end, to be tilting and she was close to falling off, but her arm held her up. She hadn't yet truly revealed her eyes to the man, but when she heard such a term she couldn't help but snap her head up. It brought her attention away from holding herself up on the bed and as her gray-blue eyes deeply stared up at the man, she lost her grip on the bed. With a small squeal, just seconds after his question, she was falling to the floor. The soft carpet hardly comforted her fall and she was lying on her back, her legs still over the bed. Her hair was sprawled out, and her decently sized chest heaved up and down quickly as she gasped for air. She had the air knocked out of her and she was not liking it. A small groan escaped her lips as she cringed, her back not enjoying the pain that was coursing through it. Such a fall scared her so much, because a small fall felt like jumping off a building. She never knew when she was going to land, nor how hard the impact would be. Her eyes stared straight up at the ceiling, her arms at her side and once she managed to get her breathing to normal she cleared her throat and spoke, loud enough for him to hear, but quiet enough for it not to her to hurt her throat, "Yes.. I am." Such a shameful feature about her, and now she expected him to leave her on the floor there after a good laugh. She was so sensitive about her lack of sight and whenever a new being knew about it, she had ALWAYS been laughed it. There was never a positive reaction. There was never a good soul to help her out.

Well wasn't this just a heap of bollocks then? And a slap in the face to boot. Okay, sure this place was much fancier than the other slaveries she'd been thrown into, but at least they'd had the decency to put a decent sized tank in for her. Sure the mermaid knew it was too much to ask to have them totally renovate a room just for her when they didn't know how long she'd be in there, but anything would have been better than the dingy kids pool they'd given her. It was deep enough so if she sat in it it came just over her stomach, and if she curled up in a foetal position in it's circular interior she could submerge herself fully, but it just wasn't the same. Obviously the premise here was "you've got water to survive, just stay in your human form". Urgh, slaveries were all the same. Yet, looking around the room she'd been shoved in, it wasn't too bad. The bed was comfortable, they'd provided her with human clothes (since she lacked any), and at least she could wash herself when necessary. Playing with her golden locks as she stared at the ceiling, the mermaid was dressed simply and conservatively, her bandeau bikini top and colour matching bottoms were hidden under the pretty maxi dress she'd found in the wardrobe. Her feet were bare, just how she liked it. There was nothing worse to her than enclosed shoes.

Hearing footsteps here and there, the mermaid sighed. It was irritating being in her human form, her body constantly yearning to be in some large body of water to get some exercise, to change, to stretch. The first few days had been agony for the water-based creature, especially when she found the restrictions on her abilities. Oh god that had been hell for the creature. It had even earned her two days in those horrid rooms for disobedient slaves, which made the creature vow to herself to never go there again. At first the idea of being in a basement room had been appealing - basements usually were damp - but no, these ones just happened to be quite dry. Spread out like a starfish on the bed, the mermaid had taken to listening to footsteps to judge where people were, or counting the different tones to see if anyone was leaving. Every so often she'd hear a door open, then silence, then a while later it would re-open with two pairs of footsteps leaving. When one pair emerged the mermaid couldn't help but grin at the thought of a Master (or Mistress) going home empty handed. Which is exactly what she had in plan for anyone who'd try and take her. Especially if it was a female.

The women in her school (yes, just like fish) had been very territorial, just like the males. Living deep in the trenches of the ocean where creatures evolved into hideous beings because light barely reached them, you had to keep an eye out for the blindest of blind ones; they were the sneaky bastards. Not to mention the females outnumbering males 2:1 in the past few years, the rate of male spawns decreasing slightly. All these factors coupled with a few human females in her years of slavery had made her very distrusting of women; tricky, cunning things they were. Oh sure, she was just as tricky and cunning as they were, but she had a reason to be, she was trying to stay alive. Sitting up slowly with a deep sigh, Selena stared at the kids pool that took up a good chunk of floor space. Getting off the bed, the woman dragged over the stool at the foot of the bed and pulled it right up to the little pool. Lifting her skirt above her knees, she sat down and lifted her feet over the sides and into the water. Humming in a most pleased way, Selena wiggled her toes in the cool water, scales barely showing through her human skin. They glistened like gossamer wings would in sunlight, the small pick-shaped scales adding a different dimension to her skin. The change couldn't be helped, her body begun to change almost instantly upon any contact with water these days, with the whole being forced to be human. All the mermaid could do in these times was pray that someone would come take her away from here who lived near a lake or better yet, the ocean. She could escape if she was near the ocean, it would be more difficult near a lake though. Maybe a river would be better. Regardless, entertaining the thought of escaping a Master was the only thing keeping Selena going.

With a giggle, Nel jerked the wheel of the car, sending it swerving back and forth for a moment. He was enjoying himself, but his sister, Leia, was not. Letting out a growl, the woman grabbed the steering wheel in order to steady it. ”Stop it Nel. You’re the only one that finds it amusing.” she chided. Glancing over at his sister and raising an eyebrow, Nel flashed her a grin. ”Yes but there are only two of us, and I’m the driver, so I get majority!” he told her matter-of-factly before turning his eyes back to the road in front of them. ”Well if you don’t stop it, I’m getting out of the car and we’re walking. Besides, aren’t you worried about running into someone else driving one of these things?” Nel stared at the road in front of them. It was completely empty. Who else?” he retorted, the grin never leaving his face, ”Leia, the road is completely empty, we’re in the middle of nowhere! There’s no one else to hit! If there was actually something to worry about driving into, then I’d be driving very responsibly!” ”Well pretend we’re in a city then!” Leia snapped, crossing her arms across her chest and glaring the empty road down as though she could open a portal that would bring them to their destination through sheer force of will. Unfortunately her magic was not strong enough to do that anymore. For herself, maybe, but definitely not for the whole car. She mumbled a couple of things angrily under her breath before fading into complete silence.

Maneuvering the car back into the middle of the lane it was supposed to be in, Nel shook his head. He knew very well why his sister was so annoyed and touchy (other than the fact that it was Leia and she was pretty much always like that). She was unhappy about their current situation. The two of them had a pretty strong attachment to their home. They felt like they owed it something, or like they were supposed to protect it or something. Why would they exist otherwise? Leia felt this a lot more than Nel, so she hated leaving their home in general and hated being so far away even more. She was fine with letting Nel go when he wanted, but both of them being gone? He knew very well that she absolutely hated that. She also didn’t like cars.

Unfortunately, they didn’t have much of a choice; it wasn’t like there were any other options they could take. While Nel could visit the place they were heading to on his own, Leia couldn’t. Considering the fact that she kept insisting that she didn’t need a companion of any kind, he knew that she would never go without him dragging her there. She also didn’t know the way and despite her threats of making them walk, it was a long way and walking would be downright ridiculous. Sure two immortals could probably make it easily, but Nel doubted such a feat would be possible for the companions they were hoping to bring back with them. The only option other than the both of them going would be for Nel to go alone and pick one out for both of them. He had suggested this to Leia of course, but she had flat out denied it, stating that she didn’t trust his means of choosing. And since this shop was the closest one to them (not to mention supposedly one of the best), it was the one they were going to.

Finally, the pair pulled up to the giant manor. Nel grinned over at his sister. "Our house isn’t near that big!” he commented as he parked the car.

”That would be because if it was, people would question how we could buy such a large place on the amount you make as an inventor; especially since our irritating human neighbours consider me to be little more than a layabout.”

Shrugging his sister’s irritable nature off as he usually did, Nel led the way into the manor and to the office of the lady of the place as he understood was common procedure. The pair had a brief conversation with the woman before beginning to look over merchandise folders. Nel wasn’t much concerned of any specifics of personality or the like, so after considering several of folders that looked interesting to him, he memorized the room numbers and left the office, leaving his sister to pour over them, looking for one that was the best fit to what she was looking for.

After meeting a couple whom he quickly decided were not what he was looking for, Nel arrived at yet another door, just like all the rest. He knocked on the door and waited what he considered an adequate amount of time for the occupant to make themself decent in case they weren’t before slipping inside and shutting the door behind him. He quickly noticed that although the room looked the same as the others he had visited, there was one striking difference: a kiddy pool of water sitting in the middle of the room. He assumed this meant the occupant of the room required some measure of water to live. He supposed he would have to ask her the specifics.

Speaking of which, he turned his attention to the woman. She had pale blonde hair very similar to Nel’s own, and was sitting at the edge of the kiddy pool with her feet in the water. Noticing the very simple dress she was wearing, he tilted his head. Was it because she was a slave, or was it the style here? Or possibly just personal preference? Nel had watched human style change from simple to rather complex, and he simply went with the flow. He knew how styles could be different between places. Leia had never really paid any attention to that though; she thought that decadent clothing was foolish. Turning his attentions back to the girl, he continued observing her. He could tell that she was taller than him, which he thought was nice, it meant that she could help him get at things he couldn’t reach! Or at least he hoped so. He had no way of knowing what her personality was going to be like without talking to her. ”Hello there!” he greeted energetically, hoping for a positive reaction, ”I’m Nel, what’s your name?”

                                                - - - - - -

After poring over the files for as long as she could, Leia finally found one that fit what she was looking for. Unlike Nel, she didn’t want one that was going to be helpful to her. Humans (and by extension in her mind, other humanoids) weren’t helpful especially not to her, and especially not ones in this situation. Any of them that acted like they wanted to aid her would throw her off and make her constantly second-guess them, waiting for them to stab her in the back. Same with any who had apparently accepted their situation. No, she wanted one that would show its true face to her. Or at least what she considered to be the true face of humanoids. She also wanted one that would pose a challenge for her, as well as one that Nel would disapprove of. She knew he wanted her to get one that would soften her up and make her like people, but she had no intention of doing so.

After finding one that seemed to match all the requirements, she read over the parts of the folder that were available to her thoroughly. She liked to know what she was getting into if she could. Having the upper hand was always a good thing going into any situation. Jotting down the room number of a couple other potentials in case the first one didn’t work out, she thanked the owner of the shop and left the office, making her way to the room belonging to what would hopefully be her new ‘companion.’
Finally arriving at the door, she opened it and walked inside without even knocking. Why should she? She was the one in the higher position here. Of course, she was sure to keep her wings hidden so that she looked as normal as possible. The last thing she wanted was to be stuck in one of these rooms herself. She wasn’t sure she’d survive not being able to go home.

Shutting the door behind her, she stared at the male elf who occupied the room. ”You’re not very smart, are you?” she commented, ”According to what I read about you, you’re back here because you came back. Of your own free will. What sort of idiot does that?”

She realized that goading him probably wasn’t the best idea, but to be frank, she didn’t care. The slave may have been an idiot in her opinion, but surely he wasn’t stupid enough to attack her right there and then. Not that she was all that worried about her own safety should that happen. Besides, she wanted to see him angry, and goading people was usually a good way to get to it. To be honest, if he did get angry, she wanted him to attack her. Someone who got angry but sat there and spluttered instead of attacking - even when the person who had angered them was right there, within reach and seemingly defenseless - because they were afraid of being punished wasn’t worth it in her eyes. They would also be a lot more approvable to Nel. If the boy in front of her chose not to attack, she certainly hoped he would shoot some snarky/smart-aleck comment her way. Verbal wars could be just as fun as physical ones.
