Jerry wobbled in a very you-can-call-me-anything-you-like fashion. With her svelte form a breath away, he could feel his heart rate pick up, anxiety levels rising- "Y-yes I imagine it's... it's p-painful to think about it... what... happened exactly, you still haven't said- I mean there was that strange message and all that but I mean ah..." Babbling again. Keep your eyes above chest level. He wondered if it was the booze still sloshing in his system or the six cups of coffee Roar had poured down his throat. Or the sudden promotion. But he was supposed to show this girl the ropes, and ropes he would show! Not that... his usual line of work came in the form of gallivanting through a field. The skinny, nervous man pressed forward all the same. Something about a labyrinth and flowers... well, a maze he could handle. Just blast your way to the center. Unfortunately, it looked like that wasn't going to help in this situation. Roar meanwhile had fallen back behind the two to keep pace with Cee's silent companion, looking her up and down with a frown of disappointment. "So what's your deal?" Seemed like a good start. She slowed to a halt when she found a myriad of crystallized red flowers. Her lips parted with wonder, her steps coming to a gradual halt before a cluster of them. Jay bent down and gently poked one with a finger. She smiled before carefully picking one up. They were pretty, and these were the plants she came here for, right? Then she flinched when she felt a sharp p***k. Of course, these flowers came with a price. Frowning, Jay chose to pick up couple more of the blossoms. Jay pressed her lips together when she stared down at the tiny cluster of flowers in her hands. She could choose to purify these flowers and take them back to the kingdom, but it was such a miniscule amount. Butterflies flew around in her stomach. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before reaching out for another handful of the blossoms. This time she clicked her tongue as she took a second handful and then decided she had had enough. He puffed his chest out in hopes of looking a bit less string bean. "Hey, wait you stupid- we aughta stick TOGETHER!" Roar snarled as the man suddenly lurched forward. "I'm just scouting ahead! It could be danger-" The rest was cut off by a distant, strangling cry. The burlier of the two sighed afresh, turning to Cee and her companion with a tired, if a touch exasperated expression. "Just keep an eye on each other and outa' trouble-" And he was running after.
